I'm 41 and I love this series. I think it's super cute. I'm not finding it lackluster at all. You don't have to…
As an 80's kid.... light sticks, standees, key chains..... nah these are definitely things those disgusting 90's kids would buy, us 80's kids wouldn't touch it if it didn't make cool sounds, lights, move, or shoot things. lol j/k

Well since we're all sharing ages, 43 yr old gay male here, and not sure why exactly they brought up age or where I ever said my opinion was fact either.
Only thing age related I mentioned was that GMMTV will continue to focus on quantity over quality because they have enough tweens around the world buying their merch.
and no I'm not referring to the kind that requires a tuck and a tape...referring to the holy shit let's scrape 6 episodes of butter over 12 episodes of toast and see how fine we can grind those breadcrumbs while doing it.
This isn't a slow burn, a snail's pace, a sloth crawl, it's a hit the ground running off the start line and then slam the breaks at the world's longest red light ever. It's like an infomercial from hell "Order now and you'll get not one but TWO relationships that'll be doing commercials for denture paste before they even have their first kiss!!"
The whole MSP / Chinzilla thing was a total miss. I'm all for tying different series together in the same universe, Golf does it in all their series with the "Cafe For All" and it works, but here it just felt really out of place.
Originally it was a "maybe it'll get better??" that became a "Watching it for the cast" that finally became a "Too far in now to quit, but wish I had gotten out when the getting out was good", except it never really was that good.
At this point I won't say that GMMTV is going to be in financial trouble because they have plenty of tweens around the world that will shell out every penny they have on the merch, concerts, etc., but they are going to end up taking a hit to their reputation if they keep producing lackluster quality and continue to focus solely on quantity and other sales.
I'm honestly not sure what the think about this season. There's part of the format I like, but there's also a lot of things I feel like they could change for the better. It's weird because for a reality dating series it felt more scripted / more arranged than the other LGBTQ dating series.
I didn't even make it a full 10 minutes into the first episode before I completely lost and desire to finish watching the episode, but did anyways in case it got better.
This was already going to have an impossibly difficult mountain to climb to be anywhere near as good as "Stay With Me", which honestly should have stayed as the last attempt at this source material. Jinloe was never going to be able to pull this off, they don't have the actors, production team, budget, writers, etc., but they do get major credit for one thing so far, it's a Thai series without 10,000 sound effects every 2 seconds.
Normally I give a series at least three episodes to see if it finds it's footing and gets better as it goes, but with this I highly doubt I'll even give episode 2 a watch.
It's been a terrible year for adaptations and multi-country collab series.
I can't stand sleeping in the same bed as someone, but waking up next to Fort every morning would definitely be the exception. lol
It's a good thing they stopped the series at 10 episodes, it was good but any longer than that would have made it drag too much.
Now the real question is, when do the "You survived Mook!!" t-shirts get sent out? lol
If there's a special episode for this series it better have Meena visiting Tongrak and Mutt on the island...She's got a lot of details to catch up on from Uncle Mut. lol
They really need to learn the lesson that subtle / inconspicuous product placement can be much more powerful that shoving the product placement in your face, especially in multi episode series.
Sooo.... spin-off with Tao and Third as the MLs and the rest of the cast back as secondary when?? lol
Obviously there's not enough that could be said about Daou and Offroad together, but credit really has to be given to Pond because as much as those two completely steal every scene together, Pond actually held his own during the whole thing.
War Jirawat Vachirasarunpatra and Kae Trungta Kositchaimongkol did an amazing job so naturally treating someone almost 1/2-1/3 their age as their grandfather / great-grandfather. It could have come off as being completely ridiculous on screen, but instead felt like the most natural, happens everyday type of thing.
People arent using tht statement he said to Martin to call him a red flag they r otther reasons on why he is called…
No they're using the fact that he's talking to other people and being honest with the ones that he's physically attracted to, has an emotional connection with, or both. He's not playing games with anyone, he's being open and honest and exploring the possibilities with everyone he's interested in to see which one could turn into a relationship.... like I said before and he said in that statement to Martin, that's the whole point.
Now Zuher expecting someone to pick him on day one and consistently pick him the whole rest of the series, that's behavior to be cautious over.
Hell even paco kissing pretty much everyone... shit you test drive a car before you buy it why not test drive kissing the guy, for some people someone being a good kisser or not is a deal breaker.
--------
That's the problem with these dating series that only go for a week, FOMO hits combined with bubble time not wanting to miss out on a possible opportunity to make a connection that could go somewhere and you get these situations.
That's one of the things that "The Boyfriend" dating series got right, they had mostly everyone together for a whole month so they could get to know each other slower.
Universe: This is Sparks Camp, the point is to explore the different connections with everyone and see which ones are platonic and which ones are romantic.
Everyone else: He's a giant walking red flag

No people, he's the one that gets the whole point.

But yeah Takara was having way too much fun messing with him this episode, it was great.
LOL :P
They may seem like an odd couple but they both get their own version of happiness from each other and that's all that matters.
BEGONE DEMON!!!

1) You liked it?
2) You survived the "Tornado Of Love" scene somewhat intact enough to send this message.
lol
