Mark Pakin Kunaanuwit definitely, but also Mark Jiruntanin Trairattanayon is showing himself to be rather versatile as well. Hell on Cherry Magic he has chemistry with Junior and this past episode with the scenes of him and Sing together they even had some chemistry potential going.
I don't think it can be compared to Mind Trio at all.
Ahhh okay, now I know what you mean. Yeah Mind Trio does tend to go more original / creative storylines, but even with "On Cloud Nine" and it's more paranormal storyline the character driven part of the story still felt very natural and real. That's the comparison that I was making between the two.

They're trying to do the same thing with this series, they've taken a lot of the typical horror genre elements and thrown them together and then utilize fast moving camera pulls, close-ups, camera shake, etc. to distract from the overall quality of the production, which like you said just makes it come across as cheap.

You're forgetting two things, 1) material composition - wood is porous, you're not getting a good seal to prevent bleeding. 2) see number 1 - plus the size of that branch would cause severe internal bleeding. Now seeing that it's only been 2-3 days in series we'll forgo mentioning the whole Thailand is hot, high humidity and an ideal breeding ground for any number of viral, bacterial, fungal infectious biologicals that could be on that branch and seeping directly into his blood creating the potential for a massive infection that could have killed in in that timeframe if the extreme blood loss didn't get him first. Given the amount of blood saturating his clothes, what has soaked into the wood, and whatever would be lost internally he should be way over the threshold of death by blood loss, which is around 2 liters give or take.

I watched all 8 episodes of "Star and Sky: Sky in Your Heart" because as much as I thought Mek and Mark were a terrible pairing I thought Mark did the best he could with what he was given. I'd still really like to see him get a lead role with better material and a better pairing.
I think a Sing and Aungpao both going after Mark rom-com could be funny as hell and GMMTV doesn't really do the whole pairing two dorky characters together thing so it would definitely be something different as well.
So we're on what day 2 or 3 now that Por has been bleeding like a burst dam, but he's still not dead?!?! You can't even use the logic of "well the writers aren't doctors" because one of them is actually a medical doctor.
Seriously though how in the hell is this the same production company that did Kinnporsche?! Yes Kinnporsche had more veteran actors but holy shit the acting in this is worse than a middle school drama production. The only thing this is doing so far is proving why some of the experienced actors that are in this series never had their careers go anywhere. I was hoping what little acting there was in THC was going to be like a before BOC working with them to develop their acting and this series was going to be showing off their hard work, instead the acting has actually gotten worse and not better.
I always give a series 3 episodes to see if it gets better, tried to give this one four episodes as there's so many rookie/new actors, but yeah time to kick this one off a cliff and forget it exists. I've seen better sludge from Star Hunter Entertainment and they were already bottom of the barrel 9 times out of 10.
After seeing Mark and Sing play off of each other in this episode, I want a Mark, Sing, and Aungpao love triangle rom-com...although I'm pretty sure they've had to have a warning about not eating or drinking anything while watching the series to prevent electronics from getting fried from people sitting their drinks out or choking to death from laughing.
Rookie Thailand, Mind Trio, and a couple of the other "smaller" studios are really nailing these single/few location character driven stories.
I actually really like Namwan so far. She gave Night time to sort his feelings, hell 5 years worth of time which is way more than I would have given someone, and when he was finally able to tell her he didn't feel the same way about her, she took it in stride, took time for herself, and in the end decided she was happy with them just being friends. So often we see these female characters thrown in to just create drama and then go totally unhinged when the guy doesn't choose her, but this one has a very realistic feel to it.
Night dude we get it, you want Dream's mini pancake roll....go for it, it's all yours, hell he's been waiting for you to finally get comfortable in your own skin for 5 years now. Just not in the kitchen....people have to eat food cooked in there. lol
I could honestly see this ended with either Dream and Night end up together running the cafe together while Night becomes a writer or they don't end up together in the end. Either way it ends up going, if it continues the way it has been then I'll be happy. This whole series has played out like it's ripped directly from someone's real life experience and sometimes there's a happy ending and sometimes there isn't.
He's got to get up enough nerve or courage first. 🤭
