The pacing of this series really is absolutely spot on. Every episode advances some aspect of their story, yet it never feels dragged out or rushed which is a real feat considering the episode length.
Come on movie version, hurry up so I can watch this again and again and again. lol
I love the fact that the entire thing centered just on the main couple and nothing took away from that, but they also gave a little nod to Yang Seung Joo finding his possible love interest in the mystery water guy.
Luckily they released the entire 8 episodes all at once because the episode length was way too short for a weekly release and hopefully that also means we'll get the movie version sooner as well.
Overall this is definitely going on my rewatch list, it's simple in it's story without adding all of this bloated over dramatic plot and I think that, the chemistry and acting of main leads were really it's strengths. As the old saying goes, sometimes less is more and that's definitely the case with this.
I was really hoping in the last scene that as Guy was backing away from Tew into the apartment that once they got closer to the couch that Guy was gonna pull some flip on Tew into the couch and say something like "You think just because I'm cute you think I'm too soft to handle the truth?" Hopefully Guy at least puts up a false bravado in the next episode until he leaves Tew's full story and see's that he's not just a mafia thug.
Poor Tul doesn't even remotely stand a chance...we already know who's the boss in that to be relationship. lol
What Nami has Wahl by the balls so he's gotta keep Guy by the balls as well?!!? #FreeTheBalls He doesn't care about Guy, he just likes having the power over him of knowing that Guy likes him no matter what shitty thing he does to him.
We FINALLY get high school Ongsa and Suansoon back in all their awkward, adorable, nervous, dweeby, anxious glory!! When Tor and Mix do actually get scenes together even the awkward silences are electrified, and that's what makes suffering through the rest of the Older Suansoon BS worth it.
Right from episode one this should have been showing them falling in love together then time skipping to their anniversary and the accident then Soon going back in time, just warning Ongsa of what was to come and showing him trying to do things a little different, and finally another time skip to what it appears we're getting next week with Older Ongsa.
Tor and Mix are where the chemistry is, where the emotional connection right from the beginning needed to start and then Toey carrying the series in the present day scenes. Those three have the acting talent to carry the story much better than Teng who quite honestly has really brought it down along with his whole part of the plot for the first half of the series.
The long pauses in dialogue are a lot more tolerable when it's Tor and Mix on screen as it makes sense that they would be all giddy, nervous, and awkward in their interactions still. When it was Tor and Teng it was causing flashbacks to Aek in "Bite Me" and the way they had the characters not capable of stringing together to words let along an actual sentence.
I'm calling it right now, that DVD shop owner knows something or is a part of the whole time travel thing somehow. Since we know he passed away in the present time, my guess is that he's become their guardian angel and he's retained his memories when sending Soon back in time.
This series has moments of brilliance when it's Tor, Mix, and Toey on screen which is a blessing in that it makes it tolerable to sit through the rest, but it also makes it insufferable to sit through when you know how amazingly good this series could have been if it was written and directed better. This is one of those series that has enough going right with it that it makes you want to finish it out to the end, but also leaves you REALLY wishing you had a punching bag with the photo of the writer, director, and or editor on it.
Usually either the main leads outshine the rest of the cast or a series suffers a fatal case of Second Couple Syndrome, in this case both couples really shined and actually had equal screen time which is even more rare. Anyone else that wants to do a series with multiple couples, here's the masterclass on how to do it.
PS: To GMMTV, THIS IS AN ACTUAL "DANGEROUS ROMANCE"....TAKE NOTE!!
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
Watch they go with something truly stupid and it ends up Joel only wanted to get with Oliver because he wanted to gain some actual sexual experience before confessing to Jason since Jason has listened to him talk a big game for years but he's actually an inexperienced virgin. lol
I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually really liked "The Camp Fire" mini-series a lot. I really liked the twists and the open to interpretation part of the ending.
Spoiler ahead:
Personally I think it was partially based on the real lives of the characters. I think Camp really did like June, that June really liked Talay and that Talay really did like Camp in high school. I think June really did confess her feelings for Talay, and that's where the real life and movie storylines diverge. Instead of June going all psycho suicidal like in the move I think she accepted Talay's rejected well as Camp did when June rejected him and that the three of them remained friends and ended up at the same university together and even decided to do this thesis project together.
That's my take on it anyways and I absolutely love the fact that other viewers could have a completely different take on it, I think that's one of the things that makes this little mini-series so much fun compared to some of the others. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm an 80's kids and the whole "Chose your own adventure" book thing was still really popular then so it was always something fun to explore different possible story paths and endings.
Overall, yup it's definitely going on my rewatch list.

If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
I think one of the most annoying things about the whole Zeke X Fifth X Kevin thing this season is that when Easy Ferrer directed "The Day I Loved You" the whole Nekko X Eli X Justin love triangle thing was handled so much better / more maturely even though they were high schoolers, and in this they are university students and yet the level of stupid is so unrealistic that even middle schoolers wouldn't act like they do most of the time. This leads me to believe that either Easy Ferrer just isn't good at writing BL scripts (only one listed as screenwriter for) but really good at directing them or the blame really is on Xion.
They really have written and executed themselves into a corner this season and there's no real way for them to get out of it. We all know there's only three possibilities, Zeke X Fifth end up back together, Zeke X Kevin end up together or no one ends up together and with what they've turned the characters into this season...who cares whatever way it goes.
The whole Joel X Jason X Oliver X Matt thing is at least interesting because it's so rare that the support characters are involved in such a whirlwind of chaos. Support characters are usually relegated to being supportive friends or a slight bit of chaos just to shake things up for a few minutes, but in this one their chaos is just as much if not more interesting than the main couple.
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
okay now Jason and Matt would be a hot hookup, Joel can keep Oliver. lol Jason and Matt could start a broken hearts club with each other since they're secretly in love with Joel and Oliver, but in the end they get over them and end up together. lol
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
Matt is the one that was harassing Iris and Lorraine last episode being all homophobic aka underwear sniffer aka the self loathing closest gay friend of Oliver who I'm pretty sure secretly wants Oliver all to himself.
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
The one that actually surprised me this season is Tristan Flores who plays Matt. If you look passed all the Xion bullshit, etc. there was actually some evidence of being a really good actor under it all.
I agree with you about Gio as well, get passed all of the Xion bullshit with that character and there's some good acting there as well, but like many of us have been saying this season, all of these actors are really being given the worst material to work with.
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
yeah.....Joel does scream over stimulated virgin compensation. lol
If it turns out Oliver was just playing the revenge plot long game I'm gonna be pissed because the way they've written and executed it is really poorly done. The three actors involved all have the talent to have done really well executed characters, and it's such a shame they've been let down by the production...same goes for Hiro, Jericho as well.
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
I'm actually surprised Joel and Jason never just considered a threesome to solve the whole problem in the first place. There was never anything established with Oliver's character that would give any indication that either Joel or Jason actually like him on an emotional level and every indication they just think he's hot and want to bone him, so why not lean into the sex crazed teen angle like you said. Hell it's not like Jason and Joel wouldn't have seen each other naked a billion times before living in the same boarding house, you can't tell me they've never rubbed one out thinking about the other in with how constantly horny they are. lol
Please someone that's rich order a few dozen crates of A.C.M.E. anvils to drop on Pear. At this point what she's constantly doing to Sky is no better than what happened to Tem and she's too caught up in her own past to even realize it.
No surprise on Best's mom pulling that stunt, hell I wouldn't be surprise if she ended up having something to do with the electrical short that caused the fire. too many choice words for her to type here.
Alright Chalarm we get it already, you're over compensating for a small dick with the size of your wallet.....move on, order a few prostitutes that will actually want your money and get over it.
Poor Tonkla learned the lesson every small dog eventually does.....all you do is bark and eventually a bigger dog is gonna bite back. lol

The mom's tag teaming them both at the end was funny as hell and unexpected.
