There are a few confusing sentences in this article. I think there may be some editing issues.

I fully agree with this assessment! I don't care if he dies actually I take that back I do care if he dies I don't want him to die. But I would like it better if it wasn't some thing where they revealed that he was actually a good guy two seconds before he dies in the final episode. I would much rather him reveal his goodness early on and have a happy ending.

I agree that it would be heartwarming and that he would truly be on her side. But it would be heartbreaking if it ended with him giving up his life to protect her. But at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. It's not often that the second lead like him ends up with a happy ending, but I'm hoping he will.

I could talk for days about the awesomeness of the character of Severus Snape but it boils down to this:Allowing everybody to think you are a traitor playing the role of the traitor but all the while being loyal to the one person who truly believed in you and gave you a chance. So much so that you would even kill that person because they asked you to and to keep your loyalty a secret at their behest.

In other words the general is playing the long game and will convince his father he has turned to his side by making it look as though he is getting the royal family on his side so he can betray the royal family. But in the end he will betray his father and his father will not see it coming. Right now his father would totally expect it. But in the end the general will save everybody. Hopefully it won't go the same way it did for Severus Snape though.

I am making a prediction that general go is going to pull a Severus Snape. If you have never seen Harry Potter and don't get my reference I can explain it. But for those of you who have hopefully you get my reference.

I like your assessment because I agree he does seem very much like the character of Sam. Sadly he also seems a lot like the character he just played in another drama Run On- but at the same time I can see they're not going the same route with this one.

I'm hoping for that too! I want to see Warrior Princess Regent! I think there isn't much information about her in the folktale, but the book they're also using as source material might have a happy ending.

I'm not sure about that. If you notice in the trailer for the last episode it looks as though she's being forced to leave with him and they're back in their regular clothes. I think he only wore the nice clothes when he got induced to his father-in-law.

I agree with you, I think he wasn't up at the queen. However, as it was pointed out and then another episode she did not requite his love. I'm not entirely sure if that's why he chose to be a month per say but it could be tied to it. As for why he saved the princess it's because she is the daughter of the queen. Plus she's a good person and the people trying to kill her scum buckets.

Yes, I know the recasting in American soaps isn't rare it's been happening forever. What I meant when I said something was rare was that they don't always explain why a new actor is playing the role. It just happens. But I have seen a few cases where someone had surgery and then they takeoff the bandages and it's the other actor. But most the time it's just walk in a room and it's a new guy or girl.

I agree! If this guy doesn't get a special "thank you for saving our asses" award at the end of the year bash I'm gonna be highly disappointed

I don't even think it was five days. He was offered the role on March 5 and the new episode airs on March 8. So he literally said yes to the job and jumped into costume and started filming.

Thank you for posting this I was about to do the same. I grew up watching American soap operas And can attest to many re-casting for no good reason. There might have been one or two where there was an accident and all of a sudden I had a new face. But like you said that’s extremely rare. I would laugh so much if for some odd reason you heard a voiceover for the show stating that this guy is going to play the role going forward.

I think they’re going to release episode seven and eight this week but after that they won’t any more of his. While it would be good to be able to compare the two I pretty sure a lot of people will not watch the show if the original actor is in it any longer. But perhaps down the road they’ll release them. However, I think you could do a pretty good comparison right away. I look forward to seeing how this actor takes on the role and makes it different.

He’s the “best friend” the Crown Prince who isn’t as nice as he seems.

I have only seen this actor in one other role in “mystic pop-up bar“ but I thought he did a fantastic job in that role. I really love this character and I’m glad to know that it will continue on. I know he will make it his own and it will be fun to watch. i’m really grateful to the production team that they chose to go this way instead of canceling the show. I have truly enjoyed every episode so far and would be sad not to get to see how it ends

I've only seen Im Shi Wan in this show and Moon Embracing the Sun. I hope to see more of his shows. I wonder if this show isn't cancelled but rewritten do you think they could get rid of the triangle?
