I was having a conversation with a friend of mine last night because we are watching “Do You Like Brahms?” together. And after the second episode and last night both of us were like no we want more!! This should be an every day show! it sucks when you really like a show when you have to wait a week. But at the same time it does give you something to look forward to.

I modified the date like that so it would not appear glitches on site (officially no set air date) and also mainly…
Oh darn it. I hope they do come up with one soon.

Title Was It Love?
Thank you all of your comments, I officially dropped it. You guys are angle. May god bless you all. I just wish…
This show was awful but not as much of an epic failure as "To All The Guys" i'm really stubborn so once I start a show I typically will finish it so I watched that horrible show all the way to the train wreck and that was yesterday's episode.

Title Was It Love?
All I want to say after tearing my eyes away from the train wreck that was episode 16 is this:
I have an answer for the title of this show: NOPE, NOPE, and NOPE.

I had high hopes for this drama and so far it is delivering. I really like the chemistry between the two leads…
I would definitely recommend it. But the second episode airs today so if you're someone who likes to binge watch a show or you may wanna wait a few weeks. Also, this is definitely going to be more of a "slice of life" slow burn kind of a show. Doesn't seem to be a action packed thriller kind of a romance show. But I like these kinds of shows.

Title Do You Like Brahms? Spoiler
So what is it? A little heavy?
I don't mind if there's two love separate triangles as long as there isn't a love triangle with the two main leads.
Clearly the two main leads or the short end of the stick when it comes to their respective love triangles- they both decided to step back and let the other two sides be happy. So that leaves them for you to be happy together. At least that will be my interpretation

Wow!! Main leads chemistry is bang on. I can already tell that it's going to be a healing drama. I am hoping the…
I had high hopes for this drama and so far it is delivering. I really like the chemistry between the two leads as well. And yes there are two separate love triangles going on but I think the two of them will come together for friendship/music in the beginning.

Obviously as it is a romantic drama that will come in to play later. But I bet he's going to help her become more confident and a better musician and she'll help him overcome his dislike of Brahms.

Title Was It Love?
I honestly think that DO is going to admit the truth in the new book "Last Love". However, I still think he's…
The point of the story is "this is what happens when there's a misunderstanding and you don't actually clear up the misunderstanding once you realize there's a misunderstanding" or maybe it should be "even if you realize there's a misunderstanding you can still make the person you think hurt you feel bad for ever because you feel like it"

Title Was It Love? Spoiler
I just finished Ep 15 and while everything is falling into place, I still am waiting for AJ to come clean to her…
I honestly think that DO is going to admit the truth in the new book "Last Love". However, I still think he's going to paint himself as the villian and AJ as the victim of it all. This show's writer should be ashamed

"because Netflix kept telling me I want to watch them"LMAO! I can relate, fell pray to Ashes of Love because of…
I'm not usually into that particular style of dramas so I tend to stay away from them myself. However I did like the actress who played the FL in Go Go Squid.

When I first started watching dramas it was Chinese and Taiwanese dramas which were very long in length and so I was used to that.

Once I switched over to Korean dramas with their very short length it was hard to sit through a longer drama again.

However, if the show is worth it I can do it. But like I said this is not usually my style so we'll see if I eventually watch it.

I started with a Netflix Chinese drama in summer 2018 too! My gateway drama was Meteorgarden. What was yours?…
My first Asian drama ever was also meteor garden because Netflix wouldn't stop bugging me with it. And I watched a couple other Chinese dramas before going to Taiwanese dramas and then K dramas. I think the first K drama I watched was "Romance is a Bonus Book" which was also my first "currently airing" drama. And it was really funny because I had a Chinese exchange student at the time who was also watching it and we got to talk about it.

That was the exact same drama for me. I kept getting annoyed because it wouldn't get off my login page so I decided to watch it. I watched a few more C-dramas and then move to Taiwanese dramas before going to K dramas.

I’m sorry, are you secretly me?? I started watching Asian dramas in the summer of 2018 as well! But I started with Chinese dramas because Netflix kept telling me I want to watch them. I finally caved in and watched them and I’ve never looked back. Took me a little while to work my way to K dramas but once I did I’ve been sucked in ever since.

I definitely agree with all the points that you made that as I’ve watched more and more my tastes have refined and my abilities to judge a good storyline and/or good acting has become sharper. I might think an actor is good looking but if he or she cannot act or carry a show I will not watch another show by them. I’ve even enjoyed actors in one show and I’m going to watch another show of theirs and stopped watching either because the writing was terrible or the character was just not able to pull my attention for very long.

Thank you for your article and the different dramas you’ve mentioned because now I have a few more to look into. and the scene from CLOY is also one of my favorites and I too do not cry very much when watching dramas but that particular scene had me reaching for the Kleenex.

So glad you liked the article and commented:) My feelings are just like yours with regard to Western television.…
I fully agree! However, I will say that one downside to the Korean style of television is that most is the time there are only 16 episodes to a series. So then you have this amazing show and then it's gone.

I know there are rare exceptions of a show getting another season but not very often. However, I suppose it could be argued that because the shows aren't running for multiple seasons, (like supernatural that will probably end after the world explodes), you get to have actors and actresses do multiple shows in a year or pair up with different actors and actresses that you wanted to see them with. Instead of having them be stuck in a role for so long.

I love this article! I was having a discussion with a coworker yesterday about why I am so hooked on Asian dramas.

And my biggest reason was how disenfranchised I’ve become with western television. I really love all of the things you have listed and how they are portrayed in the different Asian dramas.

Yes, sometimes things can be a little slower than I would like them to be and a little frustrating as well. However, I really really enjoy these shows. And a lot of the shows you have listed in this article or shows I have enjoyed immensely.
