I could be a possibility, because two the same people can't live in one reality. And I don't think so she can…
I haven't thought of it but perhaps you're right that at this point when he goes back in time he has lost her and he gives the card to his younger self so his younger self will go fix that in the future. I wonder if the sword is the only thing that can kill the evil uncle? I don't think he's immortal by any means but perhaps he is since he's not aging. Granted he's been going back-and-forth between the two worlds for 25 years so maybe that affected him I don't know
Okay, so she did use the term for brother. Hmmm my thought Eun Seop was an older sibling either due to a remarriage or they just had children again later in life. I've seen another show like that before so I suppose it isn't unheard of. And that's kind of what I was thinking.
Where does it mention they're his niece and nephew? That's kind of what I thought was a possibility but I wasn't quite sure. I haven't heard them call him 삼촌 (uncle) yet and I haven't heard him referred to them as his niece and nephews. But maybe someone says something and I totally missed it.!
Oh no, I don't mean I don't want them to flesh them out. I agree with you on that for sure! I loved the NK guys and their dynamic with the main couple. I think that was vital to the plot. But notice they were there and their characters were fleshed out with things that made them strong as a whole. But they also didn't spend time on them outside of that and lose sight of the main storyline. That's what I mean by my earlier comment. I can tell the important people around Yi Gon and Tae Eul are getting fleshed out (still major confused as to whether or not those kids are Eun Seop's children or his younger siblings- if you have figured that out by now please let me know.) But they don't spend half the episode or more on them unless it's important to the plot- hence the reason I think Sin-Jae will be a major lynchpin in the whole thing.
I know some people think there is too much emphasis on the main couple and not the support cast and yet I think it's better that way. Most shows include other romances or story lines that end up overshadowing the main story. Yet, all of these characters are there to play into the main story and I think they accomplished it well so far. I'm really really looking forward to the meeting between Eun Seop and Jo Yeong, it's going to be comic gold.. or Eun Seop will die either/or haha
And yet, she wasn't surprised to see Yi Gon at the door early the next morning. And her only admonishment was "no pictures". I think on some levels she is happy her King finally has love in his life (even if it's with an alien.. other worldly person... however you want to look at it haha)
Disappointed in the show or that there are some who don't like it? I'm not surprised there are those who don't…
Admittedly, I'm surprised by that too. Personally, I'm enjoying it because I like both stars. Granted, I've rolled my eyes a couple times but overall I've liked it.
I was a little surprised he didn't bring up that whole "I take you as my wife" conversation with her again or with Jo Yeong and Lady Noh. I mean how hard would it have been for him to say to them "Look, I know it might seem a little rushed but I did this whole 'I take you as my wife' speech when I met her and as I'm the King it's official, double triple stamped no take backs, so I'd appreciate it if you refer to her as Queen and don't make me look bad in front of her."
I already said that they were going to live in that world between one and zero to give us a whole new meaning to the phrase "social distancing". I want to say that this guy has no sense of boundaries when it comes to his personal life and his work life clearly as shown in his behavior with her. However, he obviously does have a limit seeing as he did take her home so he could go to war. But still I think he's so excited about his first big romance that he wants everyone to know it even though it's making everybody uncomfortable (including us the viewers)
Well you've certainly saved me the time of writing the scenes I had issues with as well. However, I must say I did like the hand writing scene just for the reactions of the asisstant and Jo Yeong. It's like the king does not care whatsoever about how he acts with this girl. The only one who seems to reign him in is Lady Noh but even then he will do what he wants. I have come to the conclusion that if I to have a low bar of expectations I won't be too disappointed in the end. Right now I'll be happy if the two of them don't die in each others arms like a weird Romeo and Juliet.
I feel like that plot is going to involve some kind of time loop. Where his uncle succeeds with his plan. And…
I've always thought there is a time travel element to this. I'm not entirely sure when it will come in but I believe both Yi Gon and Yi Rim are not aware of it yet otherwise they would've both used it already. Someone suggested to me that it can't happen until the flute has been reunited. So perhaps because Yi Gon is such a good mathematician he will figure that out and then seek to get the flute back and go back in time to reset everything. However, that being said because he knows Tae Eul needs to be a part of it he takes the badge back with him so she can be the key to getting everyone together he needs to succeed. Also, I think even with his mathematical genius mind he still will be a little off on his calculations hence the reason the Savior got back in time to save a little boy but not the king.
I've only seen this one and Angel - was there another one that ended that way?
Plus unlike with Angel since there was no dialogue I'm not entirely sure she wasn't just dreaming it. I'm guessing it was supposed to be real but still it would've helped to have some kind of a dialogue.
If you watch the very beginning of episode one, Yi Rim explains, that the flute's power is what keeps him young.Yes…
The very first scene in the police station is from 2020 not 2019 so it's a flash forward. Also, he has been bridging the gap for 25 years and Yi Gon has not. I bet if given time he would notice he wasn't aging either
I agree with you on your analysis of the Prime Minister. However, I worry that the production team is going to…
I have a theory that he's Yi Rim's son somehow but I haven't figure out how yet. I mean if he's already the 3rd wheel he might as well become the cousin too
I have come to the conclusion that if I to have a low bar of expectations I won't be too disappointed in the end. Right now I'll be happy if the two of them don't die in each others arms like a weird Romeo and Juliet.
