I agree that I like him a lot better in this version. I was rewatching the first season with a friend yesterday and that version of Yizhou was unhinged when it came to his obsession.
I fully agree with all that you said. This version of the story seems a lot less complicated than the last one.…
In the episode where Wen Li and Jia Fei Met in YT he coffee shop and he explained to her how they woke up in the hotel room together there is a flashback. In the flashback you see Wen Li call Yi Zhou about Xia Lin leaving showing that he was following her and this was clearly before the party where the photos were taken and they officially met. I like that while Yi Zhou might be manipulating things a little behind the scenes , I feel like it’s more his trying to make meetings happen not manipulate her life and emotions like last time. Also, I like that Xia Lin is a stronger character this time around rather than the weak and easily manipulated person she showed last time. I feel as though this couple will be more formidable. Oh, and while we are on the subject of couples and we just have Wen Li propose and get it on already so we can show Husband Li?? I mean he clearly already said that’s what he wants.
There was no need to this???? but I'll still watch.
It’s like Dr. Ian Malcom said in Jurassic Park: “ “...Your Scientists Were So Preoccupied With Whether Or Not They Could, They Didn’t Stop To Think If They Should.” And yet, I agree that I’m in for the series too.
Them: mmm, I don’t think we can put all these products in.WIL2: hold my beer.
This is one of my main complaints about Asian dramas is all the product placement but it’s as though WIL2 wants to blow all of the others out of the window with how blatant they can be with their product placement- heck they even made it a task on their reality show it was obvious. I think because of this I actually laugh instead of cringe this time
In Season 2 of Well Intended Love, his character, Ling Yi Zhou, is quite a bit more sophisticated and polished…
I fully agree with all that you said. This version of the story seems a lot less complicated than the last one. Yes, there is still Behind the scenes manipulation That Yi Zhou will have to answer for (as evidenced by the scene in the bar where Wen Li and Jia Fei met because he was following Xia Jin) but I feel like it will less complicated and easier to forgive because he didn’t make her believe she was dying. What do you mean the director asked for suggestions? I didn’t know about that.
Exactly! It's lazy sloppy writing, and is tonally wrong for what's essentially a sweet love story. But it's an…
Not to mention how that piece of trash man causes life long trauma to the girl to hide his crime. I suppose the writer had a plan in mind with that story line but it wasn’t executed well
I’m in the same boat as you! CLOY was so good that it’s hard to find something I’ll get that into. But perhaps…
I started out with CDramas almost 2 years ago but then slowly made my way to KDramas and got rapidly sucked it to the point where I forgot other dramas existed. But every now and then a CDrama will catch my attention.
I’ve been on the fence on whether or not I wanna watch this show and your review is very helpful. Have you seen search: WWW? That also had a relationship that had a big age gap but I wasn’t really a big fan about it because the girl seemed way too put out by the gap that she kept using it as a defence for break ups. I’m hoping that this will not be the same.
Thank you for your review. I think it is a very thoughtful and well planned review. I think you stated what you like and didn’t like as a good review or should. I also think you took into account that the show needs to be taken with a grain of salt and enjoyed it not as a piece of fact but a piece of fiction.
I was really looking forward to the show but found myself struggling to get through the first couple of episodes because they just seem to drag for me. It was around episode five I think that I started to really get into it and I think it’s because not just the main couple which I like, but also the dynamics of the company man. I felt like this was a good ensemble piece once that all telling him to place. I found myself wanting to know what would happen to the romantic couples but wanting more to know about how the five guys were going to handle South Korea and life after that. I agree that this was a great 0ST and I find myself listening to many of the songs from it. I do like the brothers piece but I like the orchestra version of it better than just the straight piano. What do you think?
I wasn’t a huge fan of Dan and Seung Jun at first but in the latter part of the series I found myself rooting for them. It bugs me that the ambulance guy wasn’t trying anything with CPR or anything like that. However, a friend on here just brought up I thought that kind of makes sense but only if something happens in the future or maybe the writer just wants to leave it up to our imagination. - And that’s the fact that he himself said he needed to lay low for 10 years and she still wearing his ring three years later and smiling as she’s walking to practice. Maybe it’s because she knows he isn’t actually dead but then he’ll come back for her later. Who knows, in my fantasy land I’d like to believe that that’s the way it ended.
I’ve seen 9 of these on the list but I started my journey into Asian dramas with Chinese and Taiwanese shows a year before watching my first Kdrama. I can’t remember which was my first but maybe Boys Over Flowers but id already seen Meteor Garden (my first Asian drama ever). Also what is the title of the song used in this video? I like it
It was the weirdest thing because I didn’t cry at all until about a minute after I finished watching and was messaging a friend about the show. And it was the first time I cried for the show
This was a conversation I had with a friend on here but I wanted to share it with the thread and see what you all think....
I feel as though the relationship between RJH and Se-ri was more profound than just a typical relationship. A reverse Romeo & Juliet if you’ll allow the reference.
In this version NK and everyone from there represents the Montague's while SK is the Capulets. But unlike in the real story in this case our R&J get it right- heck they even “marry” in secret.
Instead of allowing their love to destroy their friends and family it leads them all to becoming stronger and better versions of themselves. I think this is especially shown by both sets of parents and how they change their behavior towards RJH & Se-ri. Even going so far as to shown care and concern towards their respective child’s love.

Thoughts? Am I way off?? Over analyzing??
