Title Abyss
For those of you who are as disappointed as me over this show or want to hear about good shows, go check out Angel’s Last Mission - Love, It’s soooooo gooooood! The production value is the best I’ve seen in a Kdrama. I’d give ALML a 20 out 10 rating if I could. Abyss is abysmal and makes me mad whereas ALML makes my senses sing and I’m in awe at how good everything is. You’re welcome.

Don't get me wrong, I like L, I think he's handsome and cute, but I wish they had chosen an older actor to play…
I think they match perfectly. She’s only two yrs older in real life which means nothing. Sadly we as a society have been mostly bombarded and thus conditioned to be ok w much olden men younger women pairings. So seeing same or similar age pairings or older women younger men couples takes getting used to for some.

The production value, acting, story, music for this show is 20/10. Yes, out of 10, I’d give it 20 if I could. It’s a gift for my eyes, heart and brain. Kim Myung Soo (he prefers his full name when acting) and Shin Hye Sun play their roles so well and already have such great chemistry! I hate loving shows while they’re still airing but this one is worth the wait every week and exceeded all my expectations.

Ryan Gold has got to go down as one of the best, sweetest, most manly, sexiest ML characters of all time. Holy cow their kisses. I have no idea why their Korean tv ratings are lower than Abyss which has one of the most unlikeable MLs & FLs of all time. This is why I love MDL ratings. They are usually much more accurate than TV ratings.

I love the main lead actors, but I despise their characters. I will try to put this in nicer terms than I actually feel about these characters and the writer. One is intellectually challenged and shallow and the other is arrogant and shallow. Where are their redeeming qualities? The writing is subpar. How and why he got the abyss makes no sense to anyone who thinks (I didn't say "with a brain" because some ppl have brains but don't use them;), but even that I'm willing to overlook if the characters are at least likeable. Unfortunately, their shallowness is their biggest characteristic and is just so off putting and unlikeable. The mistakes the MLC makes are just brain numbingly bad. I can't w/ the bad writing. I literally threw an emtpy water bottle at the screen at one point because I was so disgusted.

Person Shin Hae Sun
I like her so much in Thirty but Seventeen. I dont agree with the comment that she's not pretty. For me, she is,…
I find her unique beauty so refreshing bc so many actresses look exactly the same I can’t even tell them apart. Her versatile acting, personality, talent and beauty is so special and make her an amazing complete package that stands apart in a great way. She’s by far my favorite actor.

Oh my god not again grrr. I have to watch another not so happy ending with Dil and Vin? They have such great chemistry…
I refuse to watch due to sanity & protection of my heart. Fool me once shame on you but fool me five times I’m [NOT GOING TO BE] a sadomasochist. I get not everyone needs a happy ending to be happy w a show but I do.

1. Who else thinks Vin Zhang is too talented & has had too much success as a lead to go back to a supporting role? Does he either have a terrible contract or agent or both? I root too hard for him to watch his characters suffer sad endings anymore. Plus he always outshine the lead so much that it’s frustrating to not see him get the girl. He was so amazing in “I Will Never Let You Go.”

2. Who else is skipping this show due to Diraba devastating Vin over and over and over again fatigue (3 & counting)? No happy ending for that pairing means no watching for me. I can’t keep getting crushed by them in tragic endings anymore.

I can't wait! This will be directed by the PD that did Healer, one of the best shows ever and starring my favorites Shin Hye Sun & L. I loved her in Thirty but Seventeen, one of my favorite shows of all time, and thought he was the best thing in a show I found disappointing, The time We Were Not In Love. I can't believe how grown up he is now from when he was teen Joong Won in Masters Sun.

Title The Last Empress Spoiler
I am still trying to wrap my head around about what I have just watched. O_O It has been some time, since I have…
The wigs alone were just WTF. Then the fact that the villains had 75% of airtime and the level of evilness is just off the charts. I wanted to see Choi Jin Huyk finally getJang Na Ra because I had bad SLS from Fated to Love You, but even for them I will not suffer though this insanity of evilness and darkness. It got so bad at one point I had to laugh at the sheer madness of what I was seeing. I don't like makjang and this is makjang on steroid. Apparently this is what this writer is known for and I can't with this show. It's already 4 episodes and we don't even get to see CJH yet? He was the only reason I watched this show. To keep my sanity I will only watch the parts with Jang Na Ra and Choi Jin Hyuk together AFTER this show ends b/c I do not trust this writer to give them a happy ending since she seems to love writing more for the villains.

Title Children of Nobody Spoiler
I find it so strange that Kim Sun Ah the person comes off as a strong woman yet she repeatedly plays very pathetic and annoying women. To me there are empathetic characters where terrible things happen to them and they still are able to react with dignity and self-esteem. Those characters touch my heart and I can cry for them and with them.

No one reacts perfectly under duress, but to react without basic self regard or regard toward the people a character is supposed to care about just makes me mad. Kim Sun Ah's charater's husband cheated on her while she was pregnant, then when she catches him in the act he gives no f about it or her and tries to pretend he didn't even know her, but she ends up pitifully crying & asking him if he will come back to her? I understand her feeling guilty about accidentally hitting and killing that child in the car accident, but for her to then neglect her own little girl and her unborn child makes me feel more annoyed than empathy for her. If she cares so much about children, shouldn't her own be on top of that list? I am officially done w/ this show after 4 episodes because the female lead's reactions just makes my blood boil instead of feeling any empathy for her.

I get we all have moments of being pathetic, that's just being human, but I can't stand repeatedly pathetic characters who after being mistreated by others, keep begging for or accepting more mistreatment without any self-esteem. I find those characters too annoying. I had this same reaction to Kim Sun Ah's character in "Shall We Kiss".

I really liked her character in "Scent of a Woman" and there she was an empathetic character and eventually developed basic dignity despite initially coming off as pathetic. Her character in SOAW wasn't as strong as "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" or "Still 17's" Seo Ri. Even though they were sweet and naive characters, they will not let anyone mess with them or they will ferociously take that person down or push back. I like the mystery aspect to Children of Nobody but I can't stand how pathetic both leading characters are right now. The guy is no better.

The sexism & ageism from some commenters are really disappointing. There are many, many, many, many more shows where the men are a WHOLE ADULT older than the women and sometimes old men are literally dating girls wearing school uniforms still (cough, Goblin, cough). My Adjussi, Mr. Sunshine, About Time, and Terrius Behind Me just to name some shows from the last 6 months! Though there are some noona shows, there are so few noona shows in comparison to the ajussi or older men with much younger women storylines. The older woman younger man angle is a plus not a negative. I just wish they would write stories where the age thing is not an issue because they mostly don't do that when the men are much older.

It's about time there were just as many shows with older women as there are for older men, however there are not nearly enough in comparison. If you don't like the plot, that's fine because we are all entitled to our opinions, but please don't hate it just because it's an older woman younger man storyline because that is so unfair, sexist and ageist on many levels. If you wouldn't make a fuss or avoid watching all the adjussi shows, then please don't do that to the noona ones. Older female actresses need our support even more because they face way more sexism and ageism in the entertainment industry than their male counterparts.

The only thing that bothered me about this week's episodes: how could Mister Gong not consider staying for Chan's…
He doesn't think he deserves to be with anyone because he's such a terrible person that is why he left. So in his mind, that doesn't even factor in the decision.

If you ignore the plot holes and only look at the good stuff maybe. The drama main plot is not bad, the acting…
I think cringing at their arrested development is like cringing at someone for limping because they were injured in an accident. That's not a choice on their part, that's due to physical and emotional trauma and only makes me feel empathetic toward them. It's my favorite show ever. SanjuktaRay can read my review in the review section and decide for herself. There are parts where it's just a sweet story of the leads learning to live and love again after tragedy, but done through comedy and melt your heart sweetness. Then toward the end, bam all the actions and plot and mystery unveiling to make you feel like you were just on a roller coaster ride, but in a very satisfying way that make you cry, laugh and feel warm and fuzzy all over. But the amazing love story is so worth watching this show for. I don't just mean the leads, but the entire cast.

Don't forget that the show's finale is this coming Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17 & 18 on SBS @10PM Korean time or DramaFever & Viki or Kocowa after 3PM whatever time in your country. Crying buckets of tears for the amazing acting and that this heartwarming and wonderful show is coming to an end. My favorite show of all time.

16 or 20 episodes? DF says 16...
Another great mystery to this show. I would love for someone to show us definitive proof of either side. Of course the more episodes the better. I don't want this show to end.
