looks fun and interesting, hope it doesn't end up a disappointment like about time
I agree 30but17 does look fun & interesting, but I thought the About Time trailer looked boring and the leads didn't seem to look right together. Though I love both actors separately. He looked old enough to be her father in the trailer even though I know there's only 9 yrs difference between the actors. She looked younger than her age and he looked older than his. I'm glad I never wasted any time on that show. Thanks for the info.
I'm so glad that the #MeToo movement has swept the world and especially S.Korea. For too long women and men have just accepted that 1/4 women will be be victims of sexual harassment or crimes and that was just the way it was. I'm glad that more and more brave souls are saying enough is enough and we don't have to live this way or keep looking the other way. I'm glad that the police and society are finally starting to wise up and be more and more on the side of the victims instead of re-victimizing them by blaming them and not prosecuting their attackers. Plus to those who think that him being really drunk means it wasn't truly a real crime or that really wasn't him; alcohol only lowers your inhibitions, it doesn't change who you are. Meaning it only reveals what you keep hidden (from others as well as from yourself) and brings it into the light. Even though I'm still in the middle of watching Hospital Ship and thought Lee Seo Won had the "It" factor and was going to be a huge star. I'm glad that he's facing the consequences for his behavior and hopefully more and more people will learn that unacceptable behavior is - unacceptable no matter how handsome or big the star is or how rich or powerful the person is. Man or woman.
let's eat 4 will be called "ex girlfriends club" ;p
I don't like that they keep replacing the female leads but not the male lead. He's not even that great. I'm not watching this one. The way this is trending, it should be called, "The Player."
Thanks so much for making the upcoming drama list. It's a great list of shows to look forward to. If it's not too much trouble, could you possibly reorder the list by release or air date & put the exact dates if known next to their name or in description? Again, thanks. If not, that's OK as well.
Did anyone else literally cheered out loud when they saw that Vengo & Dilraba will finally star in a show as the main leads & therefore the main love story? Their chemistry was amazing in Endless Love AKA Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and they get to reprise those roles. I want a happy ending for them where they end up with each other! Though waiting for over a year for this will be torture.
Hwang Jung Eum has destroyed every drama I have tried to watch with her in it. Now its time for NGM's next drama?…
Thank goodness I'm not the only one. I loved She was Pretty, Kill Me..., Secret despite her not because of her. Though in Secret she was the most natural acting. Every time she's in a scene, I can't help but think another actress would have done a much better job at the role and would be more natural looking and acting at it. It always feels like she overacts and it ruins practically every scene she's in for me. Unless it's a can't miss story, I try to avoid her shows b/c it's too annoying how she overacts and I can never lose myself into her character.
Hopefully this means it's a done deal that Shin Hye Sun & Yang Se Jong are doing "Thirty but Seventeen" given their seating arrangement at the Baeksang Arts Awards. Both were nominated - her for Best Actress for "My Golden Life" and him for Best New Actor for "Degree/Temperature of Love." I can't wait to see this show w/ them in it.
omg I'm loving this rn! (btw if you want great subtitles, better watch on netflix)
I was so excited about your comment and went to Netflix, but I couldn't find it there. If you don't mind me asking, what country Netflix are you talking about? You can DM me if you don't want to answer here. Thanks.
Seeing trailers makes me really want to start this but then a part of me wants to binge it...ughhh why can’t…
At first I was worried that I would suffer watching a show while it was airing, but each episode is so satisfying that it's worth it. Don't miss out on such a good show. It gets better every week. It's addictive in a good way. Plus this show is so watchable that you can keep rewatching it over and over again to keep you going until the next ep.
I love this show so much! The most satisfying romantic show I've ever watched. At first I thought the direction was terrible b/c the director lingered on some scenes too long and the camera angle was odd, but what I thought was going to be an annoying boring show turned into now one of my all time favorite shows. I've never seen anything in Kdrama land like this show. There's so much natural skinship and romance. The lead couple are so lovable. The lead guy is such a good person, he isn't an immature jerk (insert names half of Lee Min Ho, Jo Jung Suk's, & Lee Seung Gi's characters where the actors charm makes you falsely & delusionally believe that it's a good idea to be in a relationship w/ such guys & they can change for the better). The female lead becomes smarter and shows emotional growth and actually learns to pick her partner wisely.
DLKDramaFan -- you're JOKING? fgs! I was really hoping they'd use the end of the manga this time - the drama had…
I replied to you in my above comment in spoiler w what actually happen & u can decide if u can handle that or not so hopefully u can avoid feeling as upset as me.
Another open end? Ffs I hoped the drama made a better ending than the movie.
@Kritter & @Trouble-chan, I felt so disappointed in the drama ending that I went to find the movie ending and found that to be even worse so I didn't bother to watch the rest of the movie. MAJOR SPOILER------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Seto's character decides to go to NY to study fashion design for a few years and tells them he will leave the next day after the last fashion show. Princess Jellyfish tells him she will NOT wait for him but continue to work on her designing. He tells her that she was nothing but a jellyfish lover before him as if hinting that she won't be able to live w/o him. Princess Jellyfish kisses him. Yes, she shows who she prefers, but they are going to be on two separate continents for several years and they haven't even officially begun dating. When you're that young and the relationship is that new (actually romance hasn't even begun yet and the friendship was still new) and then you get separated for years? No, that is not a satisfying ending for me b/c I know in real life that has a slim to no chance of working. Now if she goes with him to design school - I would have loved that. Or that he studies design in the same town as her.
I really liked this show up to the last few minutes. I hate open-ended endings and evil villains getting a happy ending. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement - more like angry. The female lead had two beautiful love stories where I would have been happy with whoever she ended up with and she ended up with no one? That maybe in years they will end up with each other down the road? If they are leaving this open ended to make another season, I'm out. I don't like being left frustrated and unsatisfied. I stopped watching American series TV for that reason. This show was a ten until the last few minutes, it's a 0 at the end for me. The villain of the show who did many many many terrible unforgivable t things is made to seem like she was just the comic relief and nothing she did was so terrible that she can't end up w/ the really great second male lead. That the ending ended on her scene is beyond egregious. I HATE shows where the evil villain gets away with their terrible acts and even get rewarded. It feels so unjust - I have the news & real life for that. I want to see justice in my shows.
I don't understand the high rating. The lead actress's acting was so bad I had to skip her parts after awhile. Another example of an idol getting a part not because she's good at acting but b/c she's famous and looks good.
Though generally I wouldn't condone an affair, but this was no normal marriage. The husband and his family were abusive to her, physically and emotionally. I was glad she was able to find true love and comfort from someone who was kind and good to her.
I don't think there's anything worse than watching a drama where the female lead seems foolish at best and immoral and foolish at worst. She covets her sister's husband who is old enough to be her father more than an older brother. While Kim Rae Won, the only good thing about this show, is kind, good to her, a young, rich, handsome guy and she picks the guy that causes them all massive pain and complications. No, do not watch this if you value your sanity and don't want to harm your computer or TV b/c at some point you're going to want to throw something at GHJ's character and she's not worth the cost of your precious devices or time.
