You don’t get what I mean. I wasn’t saying she can’t speak korean. Ofc she can, she’s korean. I was just trying to explain that she has a lisp or whatever it’s called when people pronounce some letters differently in words. I just don’t know how it’s called in english which is why I was trying to explain it by saying ”mispronounced” so my deepest apologies if it hurt your feelings or anything!

She mispronounces some words, I’m not fluent in korean but at this point I am very good at understanding most of the common sentences and words in dramas without subs, and I was able to communicate with native koreans with my basic korean when I was in Seoul. I really did notice that she replaced some letters in some words with different ones. Idk what it’s called in english, a lisp as you said? As someone who speaks over 4 languages, I have a very good hearing when it comes to identifying languages and I can differentiate korean dialects (busan dialect and others, old korean from sageuks, north korean…). What I want to say by this is I clearly noticed she pronounced some words differently, as if there were letters she wasn’t able to pronounce, she kinda talks with her throat, if you get what I mean, and definitely her voice is nasal.

I didn’t know she was a kpop singer, I hope I didn’t offend her fans 😂. Yeah I’ve heard of black pink. But the fact she’s a famous kpop singer doesn’t change my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️. Everyone has their own opinion and to me her voice sounds annoying, as if she had a cold, same as when we pinch our nose and speak like that 😅 I’m not saying she a bad singer and even her acting is not that bad but I really don’t like her voice intonations and all that.

This drama is good but for some reason there’s something I don’t like about the main actress. However the story and everything is so good and I’m glad it’s not focused on romance which is why I can still keep watching. I think it’s her voice that annoys me more than anything. But she’s not a bad actress, I give her that.

Some historians say it might have been the King’s fault because he had some knowledge in medicine so he would make medicine for crown prince and for deok Im so and make them drink it, even though they had doctors. So he might have given her sth that was not good for her condition and made it worse. They also say that as he was making his own medicine, that might have led him to his early death as well. Because he also died early even though his grandfather lived till his 80’s.

So there’s a korean who explained that it was (not the lunar calendar my bad) some old calendar they used during joseon time and so in that period, a normal pregnancy (according to their calendar) would last 10 months. However those 10 months were 40 weeks in modern calendar. So she was 40 weeks pregnant when she died, not 42. Their calendar had shorter months than our 30/31 months calendar.

She wasn’t. From what I read, she was at her 10th month but that’s with Lunar calendar.
