If you really want to know...and this is because I read the book. He commits suicide. He finds out that Han Su…
Tbh the drama is good. I struggled with season 1 (different times) then read the book and enjoyed it, understood everything better. Then enjoyed season 2 even more.
I didnt like Noa in the book as nuch as I remember and viewed him as a selfish character, but really liked him…
Same, also didn’t like him. Didn’t like how he disappeared after all his mother sacrificed for him. She could have aborted him to avoid marrying a stranger and leaving her mother, to avoid the shame of other people finding out. She didn’t. She decided to keep him and to give him a father so he grows up without feeling shame. She went to another country, struggled and did everything in her power to make their little family thrive. She was the only strong person in that family, she even became the breadwinner while the men were dying or crying over their scarred faces. All she did, in the end, was for him. She protected him from everything. Emotionally, psychologically, physically. She protected him from starvation, from lack of opportunity… all that for what? For him to disappear without a word and then commit suicide the next day after she finally found him and got to see him. So selfish and so weak. For the first time in his life he was in a situation from which she couldn’t protect him (emotionally hurt, depressed or whatever) and he didn’t have enough in him to stay strong and overcome it. He just decided to run away and eventually to end his life because that was easier for him than to live with the truth. Not once, in the book, did he think about his poor mother who went through it all for his sake. Not when running away, nor even when taking his own life did he consider her. That was so cruel of him to inflict such pain to Sunja. Especially knowing that she’d probably blame herself all her life for what happened.
What do we think about Noah at the end of the season? He was written as this humble and devout Christian with…
So he’s written as a very sensitive and psychologically weak character (at least that’s how I understood it while reading the book). He needed emotional protection from all adults and also he’s very burdened by the fact that his family relies on his success. Because of how much they sacrificed for him. And in the book his nationality (korean) is sth that he was complexed about. He always wanted to be a Japanese and be accepted. Anyways. Finding out he was the son conceived out of wedlock, that the man (Hansu) he believes to be bad and corrupt is his father was an enormous psychological shock to him. It can explain his outburst of anger towards his girlfriend because she dared to utter out loud sth that he always felt but couldn’t understand or didn’t dare to acknowledge.
Yeah the way they just kind of ignore his role in firing them both and never address it again. He just casually…
Maybe because it’s a comedy, they did that breakfast scene. Also, for some reason I feel like he’s doing what he’s doing only so that his mother doesn’t do something worse to them?
I just finished ep 4 of Love next door and I have to force myself to watch the next episodes just because I really want it to be good but can’t seem to enjoy it. even though I really like all the actors and they’re all good actors. I have no problem with the acting, but idk sth is the problem with this drama. Sth is really missing. I don’t feel excited. I’m gonna keep watching however I can’t help but skip the side characters parts.
I’m sorry but this drama should be n1! It got me hooked from ep 2 while I just finished ep 4 of Love next door and I have to force myself to watch the next episodes just because I really want it to be good but can’t seem to enjoy it, even though I really like all the actors and they’re all good actors. I have no problem with the acting, but idk sth is the problem with this drama. Sth is really missing. I don’t feel excited or get butterflies like I do with No gain no love. This one should be n1 ! Can’t wait for the ep4!!!
it is not good as “because it’s my first life” unfortunately 😭
I started watching it. I kept watching till end of ep 2 hoping it would finally get me hooked but it’s either too slow or not interesting enough, idk. I’ve watched slow paced kdramas before and enjoyed them so I don’t think that’s the issue here. Anyways. I’m watching the remaining episodes with x1.5 speed.. Idk, it doesn’t give me butterflies and it’s not the actors’ fault. It’s really the story..
