I think one of the main issues I’ve had with Feud is how the story just started without much setup. It felt…
also , we had big bang opening scenes in all the recent blockbuster shows .. the double, blossom , prisoner of beauty , the legend of zenghai .. .. comparatively, this one had a pretty mild opening scene .. so having experienced such high beginning must be a let down for some i believe -- its alright .. am enjoying the ordinariness of the beginning.. it is building up ok..
So, wont consumate, and wont even send her to her residence in a proper manner ..no security, escort or some vehicle ...just letting her walk back 🤦♀️....isnt she wife of heavenly lord ? Why it seems like wife of some poor farmer's.. ......saving her at last second wont cut it ... qingyue needs to open her eyes, and see how poorly she is being treated .
did i say i loved xiao xiao and yuanfeng;s love arc ...
There is non-blood related sister of ML who pursues him endlessly, hoping he will look her way some day. Doesnt confess, just waits. Tries to poke her nose in ML's relationship with FL. It is such a sad case, he knows she likes him. The whole world knows actually. And he always discourages hint of it in subtle ways. She is super smart. If she wants she could have read it in his constant messaging but delulu madam chooses to ignore it, hoping to wear him off some day..its not pitying situation, really disgusting. Qhy would someone beautiful, seeming high achieving put oneself in such a situation?
And there is a SML. He is another story, altogether.
i enjoyed the series , atleast when I didn't permit the FL's bad dress style , atrocious hair , forever clinging backpack and childlike/childish mannerisms bother me .
it was a good series , at least for the timeline it was made.
i loved the younger versions better.. both luo yunxi and janice wu did such a fabulous job. In comparison , I found the old versions pale in comparison. don't get me wrong. i love both wallace chung and tiffany tang. but it seems the younger and older versions seemed like totally different people , not in the way "they grew up , so they are different " way.... they felt different people..
if I ignore this part and try to enjoy younger and old versions as independent stories , I had a better time enjoying the series. I loved the story of younger version - I liked the exuberance and initiative taking personality of FL - the initial hesitency , but "all in " mode of ML when he accepted her. i felt sorry , somewhere life took away that naiveness and full of life personality of FL.. and reduced the ML to "if not her , then no one " stage , where mere indication of travel on her part could trigger PTSD in him and get him to attack her. i hated it , but it also made me think the intensity of his feelings for her. such love is rare. its nice to see it had a great ending .
talking of love, what is it with Cdramas , there is always some character who doesn't give up and keep pursuing unrequited love. i don't mind waiting when one is/was in an acknowledged relationship.. but , waiting for someone who though not confessed, knew about it , and clearly not acknowledging it or rejecting it or taking it forward. such love I feel is a mental issue . being in such constant delusion is what? ML's meimei is clearly always looking for a "seemingly valid reason" to keep pursing him and justifying it.
and I never understood this concept of "being worthy of loved" I keep hearing it in c dramas and k dramas .. as if there is a list of qualifications to be eligible to be loved or to love.. dear c/k drama writers.. there is no such qualification - anyone can love anyone - qualifications of any kind doesn't matter -- it happens , people fall in love - and who the hell is bystanders questioning it?
ok, enough ranting - its a nice series if u ignore few things , so don't mind my ranting
I had mixed feelings when i watched it the first time. I liked it better, rather loved it the second time around. when I think back why I felt the way I did the first time , this was what I found. 1. I didn't like lusi's baby voice when she was 17 year old and her child like body language 2. they have hypeed the age difference as if it was some 10 years or more.. it was just 5 years . and it was ok to talk about age difference when she was 14 yr old.. the moment she crossed 18 , age really didn't matter .. 5 years age difference is nothing. they made it sound again and again in repeat mode as if it is a big thing and he is really old ..
while watching 2nd time.. i have come to terms with first point #1 .. they wanted to show her growth.. young girl (played by a child actor) to lusi's 17 old self .. to 18 + version in college.. it didn't bother me much ...
but I really think they did disservice hyping the age difference quite a bit... ML looks so handsome and looks very young.. and that 5 yr difference doesn't show at all..
Also, the only thing that bothered me was , he should have confided to her brother before going ahead with her. from her brother point of view this is a back stab - they invited ML into their home with open heart - trusted him around their daughter and he goes ahead to date behind their back.. technically no issue with that as both are adults .. but from their point of view , its breach of trust ..
Hmm timeline is a bit muddled. He talks about his parents and brother incident that occured at age 6... she remembers an incident about her mother at reasonable older age .what vehicle are they hinting she loves to drive? What age can one drive? Isnt it not one can drive above 18? .. ..and at this point they must be 17/18...ok.. bit confused here...so his mother was there at age 6..her mother seems to have left when she is a bit grown up..so their mothers aren't same... am.not even sure i understood ep1 well at this point 😂😂😂... why did it occur to me both their mothers are same 🤔🤦♀️
Am waiting eagerly for the actual action to begin with regards to that ghost seal ... wonder when would it starts ..whats the story behind it..who does it belong to..and how did it get triggered in the mine... was it triggered by whomsoever to kill everyone in the mine and somehow MLs father disabled it , but couldnt save anyone? And also caused collapse of the altar/mine?
their scene in the carriage, and xiao zhan eye expressions was too good.
Ehat a tense scene that was..it vould have gone either ways... it seems its not yet time for ZH to die..else how would one explain his survival , time and again
Pushing the labourers who build the beautiful tomb to death by feeding them poisoned food and locking then up…
I would think it is normal in those times... if any spl technology is used to protect tombs , rehy were killed more so no one knows the building secrets
....watched so many of her series recently. i enjoy her dramas ,.
....need someone to give him a huge hit on the head
......saving her at last second wont cut it ... qingyue needs to open her eyes, and see how poorly she is being treated .
