I like the fact FL is gentle , smart and has a bloody good judgement of people. She doesn't come with a preconceived notion. She is willing to change her opinions based on what she sees. She must have heard scary tales about the ML before she wedded him. i like the way the drama is handled, They haven't made it another "Scent of time" or timetravel/Rebirth trope. Just a regular drama. Which didn't take away anything in my opinion.
The Novel Liu Yan was more smitten and loyal than the Drama one - , Drama one is shown as more greedy and ambitious than the novel one - at least till the chapter I read and episodes I watched.
