despite people repeating , it is not love from his side , i believe it is - not the love we see in other series . It is born of gratitude, of strong desire to protect and to make up for his stupidity and mistakes that pushed her life to dire straits .
It was born the moment she said "No one is allowed to bully her "Didi" ", and stood up for him when Ai Lin Jiang bullied and mocked him in the context of Wu Ya, it strengthed further when she roared in the restaurant at Tang Ling and her underlings that she has her "Didi"'s back and will hear from her if they bully him again.. those are such defining moments in his life, and he fell deeply in love.
Also , what not to love about her - a very beautiful and charming lady , immensely talented , extremely caring and kind , and protective of her near and dear ones. who would not want to be part of her life and to be part of her life, He saw himself as her partner (since thats how they paired from the beginning while trying to sell insurance together!!!)

As for Li Su, i was wrong when i thought she was talented - atleast in running a business . All she had was some tricks that kept her in good stead while she had enough cash and assets to burn through . Once all financial resources dried up , it was obvious she was just a one trick pony - Atleast viewers will be happy to see her loose the company , and Ding Zhi Yuan at the same time , with a new born child to raise with nothing in hand - reminiscent of exactly what unvieled in Man Li's life when Li Su entered it.
Because her old boss is not asking her to sell insurance but to handle market promotion and outreach activities…

Man Li has real talent for selling insurance despite her lack of formal education. Her boss knows that. Her phenomenal rise caused immense jeolousy amount her colleagues and even in her boss i guess - as he feels she doesnt listen to him any more- which he said many times. He is not a hater , thats obvious from him trying to protect her when she was sued . may be he feels a little guilty of his own little jealousies when he saw her at her lowest point - she is a kind person despite what her colleagues say -, am sure he is aware of it. but her being a great insurance seller and potential threat to his company is something he is clearly aware - so the offer i thought was more to protect themselves from removing her from competitions side..

It appears she is cautious of public judgement looking at the way she was cautioning Xiao Zhou when he hugged her in public , and started expressing his "feelings" in public... though they have joked a lot about "kept" man/women, .. she had more than once told him she would not date young guys ,... what would change her to accept him? thats what am curious about., some one so particular about not dating young guys.. and how the writers convince audience about the same?

As for Xiao Zhou being annoying - i think , seeing someone who literally gave him second chance at life and helped him stand up, in lowest point of her life, and to top that him being the primary reason for her being in such dire straits , he must be under huge guilt and self induced pressure to make it right for her and protect her .. he gets stubborn when he feels her kindness and good nature are interfering and making matters worse for herself. what he doesnt realise is, that is what made her take him under her wing too as well. she has always been such a fool , paying for husbands PHD , helping ling and her prev assistant at job and helping random people she meets . Also, he is also struggling with his feelings for her , and feels she isnt taking his feelings into consideration and doesnt take him into confidence while making decisions - their Age gap is also playing on his mind i think.. her always acting as senior , referring herself as his elder .. to become a couple they should act as equals .. that is what he is fighting for..

true.. i started 'the ideal city' recently - i watched a few episodes and Mark's character comes across too cold and calculating in constrast to Sun Li's warm charactered personality in the series... hmm.. he isnt different from her Ex Boy friend. Unfortunately , there isnt another character that i can root her with .. Hope Mike's characters personality changes in that series .. as the story moves forward
