In my opinion, when it comes to FL and ML's loving relationship, there is not much progression. I felt that even…
I personally felt that it was believable because the shots of them both staring at each other, smiling, etc- was convincing for the process. Of course, I know that some people don't feel any chemistry between them, which is fine, so each to their own.
Rewatching this for the 5th time now. Still is one of my favourites.
In applaud you on being able to rewatch it! The number of tissues and anger pent up made it so stressful for me. I just finished it yesterday; I want to watch something more fluffy and slice-of-life now, haha.
Currently, I haven't been updated with this drama (stuck at 12 lol, because the vids keep loading, and loading, and loading, an ah-patience wears thin when you hear the first few notes of the starting ost a gajabillion times) However, I would say one thing I praise about this drama so far is Zhao Lusi's character. First and foremost, I've seen some comments about how Wei Shuyu's character doesn't have a backbone. Actually, Le Yan doesn't either (obviously she's going through hardships currently). Anyways, Zhao Lusi usually acts in rom-coms (her forte), so I was pleasantly surprised to see a different side to her acting. I know it isn't like a gritty drama, so it's not hard acting, but playing a sweet character who's lovable is hard (to get across to the audience). Many C-Dramas utilize the character setup for a sweet and slightly naive girl, but don't usually pull it off. Usually I nod my head along to the setup as I know what they want, but that basically means I'm not convinced by their character. Many of the 'cute' actions they do might seem over the top, or not cute. Though, Le Yan is a joy.
Kekeke...his character is of a weak man. He has no backbone. He is ok if everything is normal and ok. Even if…
In a way, that is really a pitiful set up. Still, it's understandable. Do I like a character who has no backbone? Well, not really. But his reasons are understandable and I guess I would understand/like them more than characters who betray their entire family and leave them to any possible conclusion to do what they want. At the same time, that's more of an Asian concept.

I was not on board with romance at first, but after I got to episode 9-ish I started feeling it. When I watched their court scenes and office scenes, I felt that they worked really well together no matter whether they became romantically inclined at all, because they would look well and go well together no matter whether they ended up having some romantic interactions. I can also see your point. One thing I do like about the kiss was that it was in the middle of their undercover job, and their romantic interaction didn't affect the plot, which is the usual case of problematic stuff occuring in dramas.
If you are judging it for episode 16 then yes it deserve 9+ but overall I think it's a good rating considering…
Glad to see we were on the exact same page, haha. It just really bugged me out in the start-but I liked how the 'Zo Clan?' moment made him stand out as a foreigner. Afterwards I really got used to the premise of him being in Korea. I still feel like the Geumga could be introduced better though, as I didn't find it funny. I knew that was a part of how KDrama comedy works, but it felt strange to see Vincenzo's reactions after the first few Italy scenes. I think the Gold is a reasonable plot for him to stay in Korea, though.
Turned out I was right about my previous assessments of the character of Jang Jun Woo - he was indeed a psychopath…
Ohh, that makes sense. So if you're saying it's to throw off the audience, then technically it can't be explained with him as a character that much (cause why would he go pretend when no one really cares if he likes Cha Young or not)- the only explanation I can find is that for a person like him, he just thinks its amusing to act like that.

Agreed-I think that goes with a lot of KDramas, actually/ I also did not like Hong Cha-Young's character in the start, and quit when I watched the second episode. I got back into it after two weeks, dragged myself through until episode 4, and then I loved it. But it did take effort, so I understand why it's hard to like the show first too. I had quite negative some opinions about his arrival to S.Korea (taxi scene), and I also felt the Geumga cast was out of place, though of course now they're pretty great. I understand how most K-Dramas need to backstory-fy the first few episodes, but essentially I completely understand how people don't want to go through several hours of content under the premise of a show becoming great as soon as you hit a certain point.

I know he doesn't like her now, but does that mean he didn't like Cha-Young in the start then? Because I'm pretty sure he showed signs of jealousy. However, he does have super super violent tendencies. I was more sure he was a psychopath. In any case, why would he have to pretend to like Cha-Young?
Agreed-I used to think he was overrated and I haven't watched DoTS yet, so Vincenzo was my introduction, but I…
Kind of considering it- but I'm not so ready for a huge fantastical epic after GoT and I don't really like SJK's elf-ish look in it (Pers. Opinion) even though everyone praises it
About to watch it too, but as far as I've heard, not many, but the one she was in was intense, and she acted really…
Why don't we talk about it later? I'm at Ep7 so far-gosh, this drama is really a mental strain. Also, I did seen a glimpse of her, but not whatever the actual scene people mean when they talk about it.
Im OBS with Jeon Yeo Bin works, how much screen time she has in this?
About to watch it too, but as far as I've heard, not many, but the one she was in was intense, and she acted really well. But as this drama is also very intense itself, I can't really scale it.
Excited for You are my Glory.
