If this follows the same vein as the fiery priest, there’s a mega showdown in store and an A+ comedic ending.…
I hope it’s true. I think for Vincenzo capitalising more on the grittier elements makes more sense than ending it with a comedic twist. Thanks for the tip!

I think the writers are at fault here and so the characters are bearing the brunt. She is a prosecutor and corrupt.…
I think what they mean is that they could have utilised their advantages better. Killing is all and good, but it doesn’t really do anything except remove characters, not inflict physical (not mental) damage of protagonists.

Maybe...but it has the least chance of happening..
No, that’s what I thought too-but I later found out those pills are product placement and were used in a previous episode as well. You can’t insinuate you will poison a character with the advertised item, I’m sure.

I’m super excited to start binging it (favorite screenwriter and all) but I feel it’s been under hyped :(…
Haha, I didn’t really realize. At least in China, Mouse definitely overshadows Beyond Evil and Flower of Evil, though Flower of Evil is still very popular. It ranks constantly as a popular show on Douban (China’s Rotten Tomatoes) and has quite a few hot searches on Weibo.

I just hope it ends well for Han Seo.. I wish he gets to restablish himself as the CEO again.
Tbh it’s a comedy so it’ll probably end up like that, but he actually doesn’t know how to run a company yet and even though Han-Seoul is horrible, he has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Aw thank you for commenting such a detailed comment ! And thank you for the characters graphic !I agree about…
Oh gosh, I actually watched a bit of Mr. Sunshine but I don't remember him at all, damn. I know it's probably a really good show, but I got to almost halfway? and I just felt tired, thought the cinematography, backstories, and OST was definitely top-notch, for sure. I suppose I didn't see Mr. Sunshine as a romance. Anyways, I might pick it up again when I get over my recent drama crazes, but I think my plan to watch list is also pretty long, haha.
I didn't realize everyone wanted Seo Hae and Jae-Sun (I actually just called him Jason in my head) to be together. I thought he was supposed to be the little brother archetype.
Ahah, I wasn't going to put the spoiler tag on but I realized I gotta say a little thing. For what you said about Tae-San, I agree, and I think it would be very interesting to flesh out on how it all started with him, and also how Han Tae-Sul and Seo-Hae were able to get to the wedding altar in their wedding clothes- I still feel a bit confused about the pictures taken. I definitely think KDramas need a wider range of personalities for males (I think outside the romance genre the spectrum is a lot wider, however). By the way, I checked out your list and noticed you watched Stranger. I know everyone gushes about that and Cho Seung-Woo is a great actor, but I watched two episodes and I felt like I couldn't grasp his character. What can you say about it?

First of all, thank you fo replying so thoroughly and quickly! I just signed up to MDKL yesterday so I spent the time looking through the different subsections on the webpage just now. I completely agree about the 'loose ends' part- when the explained it, I gave a breath of relief- to be honest, though, when the bridge scene happened with the injury I already felt, alright, pass for me, at least it wasn't a load of bullets all missed. I know what you mean about the Control Bureau, but for me, as I understood the story further, it made me feel so tired for all those members, regardless of what they did. Gosh- what a life to live, and its not really living at all, at least not with spunk and impulse. At least they all wear black and look cool? I think Sigma was a good villain, and I liked the last extra scene, and yeah, I did get interested in the actor afterwards. The way he smiles is quite chilling. I completely agree with your point about Jae-Sun, so when everyone was crying over him, I really didn't know what to say, but even I think his storyline wasn't tied up well, and as for Tae-San- the one thing I didn't like was that the whole start of this was supposed to be because of Tae-San, so I really wanted the loose ends all tied up together. Some say it's a romance set in time travel. Personally, I didn't get the feeling for the first half, but it felt more prominent going on (of course, thats the natural progression of romance, of course). I did find Han Tae-Sul's romantic self to be a bit of a contrast with his earlier attitude, but at the same time he portrayed behaviours that are not normally in KDramas.

Haha, I didn't comment on the thread at first because I had a misconception that it was about a month old. Anyways, love the character graphics. I don't regret watching the drama, and I think the ending wasn't bad; because from the clues, you could come to your own conclusion. The actors said that its a drama about one's choice, but I really felt that it was about selfishness vs. selflessness, for which I was glad that Seo Hae stood for the selfless path all along-except when coming to the conclusion that the Control Bureau's existence is to make the two leads fall in love, that cracked me up. I really liked Han Tae Sul's character, because he made me really angry sometimes, and he wasn't perfect (at all). I also agree with what you said. Personally, I enjoyed knowing SIgma as a more mysterious figure instead of finding out why- it seemed incomprehensible even towards the end, although I get what the writers were going for. I agree about the kid Sigma, too. I think one of the best parts of the drama was the OST True (Veritas)- I didn't realize it was a part 5 one and searched it forever.
By the way, I didn't really like the characters, Jae-Sun- I think because this show is mostly filled with headstrong and stubborn characters, which is miles away from me. What did you think?

Your introduction was exactly how I felt awaiting for this drama. But after watching it, my opinion is a little…
I agree with basically everything you said, except that I think PSH's emotional scenes were okay in this drama, because in MoA with Hyun Bin it seemed like there was an overabundance of emotional scenes for her character, so I couldn't feel the character's pain so much, but here in this dystopian world setting, it seemed a lot more in touch with her surroundings. I do think that bigger budget recently seems to be aligned to time travelling- maybe future Kdramas should find a different sci-fi output.

Just a guess, maybe Vincenzo's mom told Cha Young that she knew Vincenzo is his son all along.
Ohhh, haha I completely forgot about that detail. Maybe there's more, then there's something from Vincenzo to hang on to.

I just realized that Vincenzo's mom died, but Cha-Young got a letter from her previously and we still don't know what's on it- that's a mystery for the 17th.

Title Vincenzo Spoiler
That is true, but it doesn't mean that for the upcoming episodes, not all logic has to be eliminated. Like I mentioned…
Actually, what you said works as well, that's true. But you could also say that Han-Seok has realized that Vincenzo can't kill him (as in, he doesn't want to sboot him now). E.g . previously Vincenzo needed to stall time and pointed a fake gun at his head, because his way of revenge is needing all his secrets and doings to be exposed with impact, not a simple death, so obviously Vincenzo, though going into the house, won't shoot him.

Episode 20 Predictions
(Simply my two cents)
-I don't think it counts as a spoiler if I don't talk about any related plots

Happy Ending:
After Vincenzo & Co. successfully take out all the gold/steal it from Babel if they get it and finish the entire revenge arc, they set sail on Bye Bye Balloon (of course with Vincenzo in head-to-toe Booralro haha) to somewhere, with Inzaghi. Maybe, maybe? Us fans will get another kiss. The Gold will also be in hot air balloons (not logical, but tits also a comedy and Vincenzo's has had its moments)

Sad Ending:
Vincenzo dies
- to save Cha Young
(Not the worst, because I don't think the scriptwriter won't let them not fulfill the revenge arc, but this entire show also talked about how there's so little justice, so idk, still leaning towards Babel getting all that karma)
-or maybe he just dies because he has a final-off with Han-Seok

Alternately:
-From what we've seen so far, I'm not heavily leaning on this, but maybe as he's said, he will leave Korea (either because he's being chased, or just because his family stuff) In this case, Cha-Young isn't considered 'family'
- Happy Alternate: She leaves Korea regardless

Whether any of these scenarios happen, I bet you one thing:
The Geumga Gang are getting a cut of the gold

Anyone agree?

About the recent news about SYJ please lets be careful her agency will be releasing a statement today or tomorrow…
Exactly- for everybody, also please remember for the time being that Dispatch is afterall, a tabloid, both sides have only said they're looking into it, and about any news, and also this news, there are so many backstories that none of us know about, so as they say, innocent until proven guilty

I watched this a while ago, and it is one of my favourite dramas despite its flaws. I thought the subject matter was rather unexplored overall, and I think Hyun Bin's character set up was also rare in kdramas. I had just finished CLOY and was hunting for Hyun Bin's Netflix works, so I admit some bias as Yoo Jin-Woo's complete personality change from Ri Jeong-Hyeok in CLOY excited me much more. Personally, I think that Yoo Jin-Woo's twice-divorced setup and mindset was very interesting to watch and analyze, and I was very invested in his character arc (props to the good acting). I do think the romance could be taken away, and with arrangements, Hee-Joo written out of the story completely. I did not like the romance as it delegated Hee-Joo's character to mostly (in my opinion) a filler as she didn't really affect the plot. The leads also did not have any chemistry. On second watch, I was able to accept some of her scenes, but I still stand by my opinion. However, I think the adventure and unknown side of the plot continuously kept me on my toes, so the process was very enjoyable throughout nevertheless. Therefore, I wasn't disheartened by the ending, rather, its open ending I didn't really mind- I suppose it doesn't really have to have an ending, and I didn't care about the romance anyways. Of course, each to their own, and I completely get why some people would not like the story. I also think the first episode is probably my least favorite in all the episodes, and I felt that it really improved exponentially from the third episode onwards, and then I couldn't stop.

Would you recommend DoTS, then? So far I haven't watched any series that aren't on Netflix. Also, great to see you on this thread~
