The only similarity is that it contains game, and even than, they are different, since Squid Game did not have mafia game, and instead had multiple games where they were killed off by humans, also the setting is completely different.

This is a horror-mystery drama with school setting, where they play only one game and are killed by some unknown force. So no, there are way too many differences to call this a copy of Squid Game. The closest thing to this is Death Bell.

In the book they were multiple photos of classes, so my guess is, all those photos are from classes that also experienced the mafia game. I really doubt that the girl in the class before them started this whole game.

I love how it is focused on romance, but at the same time they do not make that big of a deal out of it? Meaning that it feels natural. We do not have episodes ending with kiss scenes aka making a big deal out of it. Here the romance just feels natural, like it should be in real life.

The flow is really nice, dynamics even better and the dramatic plot is giving me palpitations! Can't wait for more.
