This series suprised me with a lot of things. At first, I thought that Netflix will ruin the ending, like it tends to with lot of their originals, but I am happy that I was wrong. I loved the strong plot, which thankfuly didnt leave any loose ends. The characterization of a psychopath by Suzy was really on point, and I give her extra points for sticking to her performance from EP1 till the end. Overall, I enjoyed how they basically showed that in each of us there is a bit of bad and good. Bit of selfless and selfish selves. The CGI was spot on and basically, it was really marvel for eyes. So happy to see the ML back in acting, as he totally and literally slayeddddd his performance here. Now, I can go and sleep. This was definitely worth the marathon I pulled of LOL.

I didnt have the convo with yoy though, but the person above about arranged marriage. You came into the convo and said the remark about the tinted glasses. Also, I do know a lot about arranged marriages and how they work, since foreign cultures interest me, thus I have read stories and testimonies of people who experienced that and based on many factors I came to such opinion that I have. For me, arranged marriage is evil. Yeah, it might work for some, but for many it is prison. I wont forgive parents who ruin their kids future for their benefits.

Why am I angry? Maaaaybe because you belittled my personal opinion and said that I look at the plot with tinted glasses? It is fine to disagree with opinions, but it can be done without making the other feel like crap for their opinion.

I do not see it with tinted glasses. It is my NORMAL opinion. I aint here to change anyone's opinion, I clearly stated that, so respectfully, leave it.

I personally don't see it as snatching. There is 0 romantic feelings between the prince and his fiancee, so since they aren't in a relationship, I don't view it as snatching. BTW it will be messy AF since this is lakorn....it's basically like Turkish telenovelas or Spanish telenovelas lol.
correct me if im wrong but is this gonna be a love triangle with 2 siblings, where the brother snatches his sister's…
"Snatching" is a strong word. The prince is arranged to marry the girl, but obviously won't go through it and instead falls for the brother. So....technicaly, it isn't a love triangle.

It didnt depend on whether a concubine could produce an heir or not. She would still be a concubine buuuut her rank would be elevated and she would earn the title of "bin". That is the highest rank for concubines. Additionally, all concubines were married to the monarch. In terms of clothing, color is not as important as the embroidery, which can be seen in this drama as well. :) I dont know how it was in China since my university degree covers only Korean peninsula with specialization in Joseon history.

In Joseon even concubines had a marriage ceremony with the king and were considered as his wives, but still, there could be only one queen. In early Joseon concubines could be elevated to the status of queen, but due to big discourse later on, it was abolished.
