The subs were missleading. At one point in conversation with his sis it literally looked like he is taking over Cambodia's bussiness while in next line it said that he is trying to be clean? Also the balcony scene....what was that about? U know when u are doing subs u can't sometimes translate literally everything they say it's good to add something to explain the situation and it's only up to the translator if they can do it or not. As a subber myself I do it all the time with weird or missleading subtitles. I need to literally glue them up for them to make sense. Not even one language can be translated word to word, there is always a difference.

Look if u wanna be a subber u should be able to convey the message of the script well, which he did not. If u didn't spot the mistakes in his previous work than I got nothing more to say because the mistakes are on beginner level of English.
Example > The start of episode 1 - we know nothing from the conversation. What is that "account" Tang Yi should give the boss? Also "If it's impossible why did you did a sketch of arrest warrant of Tang Yi". That follows with "You even marked his height clearly" that doesn't make sense since it's literally a poster. Also I got nothing from conversation Tang Yi had with his "little sister" what Cambodia? In the end of convo the girl said that he is helping others while he is being dragged down. The subs did not say anything on Tang Yi's plan he kept obviously talking about.

As a person who is fluent in English his subtitles do not make sense, if u want I can point out each mistake he did, also why watch his subs when u can as u said speak mandarin?

I know Adam's work and it's not the first time. He subbed previous seasons of HIStory and when legal subs came out there was HUGE difference. Also based on the grammar and sentence structure u can see that he is not even slightly fluent in Chinese nor English. I don't bash him or anything as he gives a sight of what is going on but u often can't get the deeper point of what is going on and for international subbers these subs have no value as it lacks understanding. That's why I am posting everywhere the Viki request form. Even they are not perfect but still better quality than Adam.
