As a looooooooong time watcher of dramas I am happy to see the "old format" ending being back T.T Gosh, this reminds me of Secret Garden so much ahhhhhhhhhh.
por mim foi a morte da amiga, a traição de um amigo (o Rei) a quem ela confiava e acreditava que iria salvar…
No, it's the fault of the google translate, no need to apologize haha. Honestly, when I was in S. Korea the reality is not that different from TV series. Korean men truly do take care of themselves far more than western men. Their skin is flawless and I felt very very very ugly - but, this is just my personal feeling. Asian men overall have completely different features so finding ''masculine'' masculine men is really hard to do. I honestly don't know what you are thinking under the term masculine, but I guess you imagine someone like Henry Cavill maybe? For me personally, Yi In is very masculine :) You also mentioned that female lead is barely passing as a male, but honestly, some women in past did dress as men for various reasons. It wasn't common, but it sometimes happened.
O personagem do rei foi bem desenvolvido/escrito, o dela nao! a tal vingança e inexistente e simplesmente acaba…
Homosexuality was present in Joseon, but it was frowned upon, since it represented ''ancient'' times, because in Goryeo it was considered as something normal.

We do not know if her father is really dead though... Btw your comment translated said that you think men in S. Korea undergo surgeries to look like woman, so idk if it's the fault of the translator or...
You can have your opinion, I won't try to persuade you :) I am simply thinking that they did, because they are in their underwear (yes, white robes), TVN themselves stated they had a ''passionate night'' and that there is no modest reason why in Joseon man and woman would be 1. holding each other closely 2. laying beside each other 3. being almost naked.
This is a PG drama and these type of lovescenes are suuuuuuper common in sageuk dramas (ex. Moon embracing the sun and Princess' Man).
Of course, with all this being said, it is your imagination and your opinion :)
It's fine to spoil me ;)
We got many action packed episodes which was why I even started the show in the first place :)

I don't have problems with the actors so I can't really relate hah.
Now other method of fillers are used, which are far more safer.
