I’ll be keeping an eye out for future projects by Dome and especially Vee. They had really good screen presence. They always made you sit up and take notice.

Kudos toZTao. This is his best, most nuanced performance, at least from what I’ve seen. Good casting all around.

While waiting for next epi to drop (in 7 rs, & 24mins), I was wondering if anyone has other foodie series they enjoyed, and if so would you mind sharing? A favorite C movie for me is This is not What I Expected . Can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched. Very light hearted and fun.Also the J series Niahiogikubi Mitsuboshi Youshudou. Simply lovely.

I can’t help it; I have to keep coming back here to check on the chatter. This is one I am going to miss. It is such a beautifully told story, with far more depth than appears at first glance.
Have you noticed, even the chatter has been unusually pleasant. Well done writer, director and cast!

14: I love the fact that while he is giving her time, he continues to work to find balance for his own life. It’s not a cheap time skip. Seeing him smile at the cats in his home was so touching to me.

Same, time skips are not my favorite. In this case however it’s more time passing, not a cold skip. He’s giving her time, but he’s not idle. He makes some interesting changes in the interim. . He’s finding balance.

13/14 are tough, but still so well done. There aren’t any throwaway characters, no fast forwarding for me. 14 was a surprise, with lots of food for thought.

Hahahaha,no. Tomato got the nickname because of wearing a tomato charm bracelet. Diamond is the characters stage name. Funny I don’t notice the subs much anymore.

Epi 8: I’m putting this series on hold. The amputation followed by the steak close up was so jarring and very discomfiting ( meant to be I’m sure).Completely asinine. For me No wha Young has turned into a psycho caricature.and not interesting to watch. . Love the leads; this is some of their best work.
Can’t take this particular psycho.

It’s a given the rating are screwy on MDL. I normally don’t pay attention, but I would love for this one to have the score it deserves.

Yes! Good closure, well done. He was never remotely back with the ex- it was all business, but he made sure she understood the was no future for them. She knew it. Really well done.

Thankfully no! She had surgery and did well. Gets to go home by end of epi.

So much packed into this epi! I’ll try to give a quick rundown. Diamond realized her her heart is now set on Director. Diamond asks KeLan to teach her how to cook to win him. KeLans mum feels bad for KeLan, wants her to find her own happiness. Yu How ended up in the hospital very sick,, but will be fine. KeLan makes porridge for him, but gives it to Tomato to give to him. We get the whole Tomato backstory, she and Yu How say goodbye to the past.. KeLan stays with her mum through surgery, mum does well, Yu How keeps up with how they are doing but
they aren’t
seeing each other yet. KeLan, MengMeng and Diamond are a growing sismance.

So many layers. The mum knowing KeLan made sacrifices. KeLan torn, because her mum has been and is her whole world. I’ll admit I cried my eyes out with the tomato background. Love the growing sismance! I was relieved to see how he kept up with how KeLan’s mum was doing. He hasn’t let go for a minute, but giving her time. So good.
