All chinese actors are because that's their canon of beauty. Skinny = healthy. Most chinese actresses and actors are too skinny to my liking, but I ignore it. and just enjoy the story. Their built isn't so visible when you watch historical dramas (thanks to many layers of cloths), but in modern it catches an eye. And sometimes it might be disturbing - especially too skinny female leads.
The chemistry between the main leads in this drama is so grear! Their relationship develops naturaly, it's cute and innocent, like a first true love would be. The plot might not seem special, but when you watch it, it truly feels special :) Cute, fluff, natural romance. A healthy relationship. So outstanding for the dramaworld!
It is predictable, cliché, the plot doesn't make sense, so don't pay too much attention to the rationality of the people action, but it is for sure very cute and enjoyable. Just don't expect too much from the story. Turn off your brain and focus on the fluff, comedy and romance. I'm definitely going to continue watching it just to release the stress.
I enjoyed first 10 episodes. It was interesting. I haven't watched any ghost drama for a long time so it was nice to watch one again. Nice concept. But I was a bit tired around ep 11. The episodes seemed too long. It would be nicer if they were just 60 minutes per episode. But still it was packed with lot of different stories, side plots so it was interesting. Just some scenes seemed too long.
All the comments saying that this drama is hella fast paced meakes me interested. Usually Historicals are so slow…
Go ahead and watch first 20 minutes, then you'll get what everyone talks about. This can hardly be described as a "fast-paced drama", because this doesn't look like a drama at all. More like a too long trailer for a drama that doesn't exist. And this has 61 eps! Of what? I can't imagine how they filmed it!
Well... If they keep the pacing then by the ep 61 we'll be watching their grandgrandchildren's story. I'm wondering... Do people working on this drama didn't realize that every subtle scene, every blink of the eye, a hand gesture, the slow pacing that let viewers into the story, feel the story, feel the characters... that all of these things are damn important? Watching this drama is like watching a way too long trailer! If that was the case, I would think: "oh, this drama looks interesting. I want to watch the whole story" - well, this is the whole story! I'm literally shocked o_o How am I suppose to get into the story when I can't even fully understand what's going on. They won't give us the time to get to know the characters, to like them. There are flashbacks in their flashbacks! You can't take a break for a single minute, because you'll be lost. You can't get attached to the story. You can't truly enjoy the scene you're watching because the next second they'll get it away from you. And 10 minutes later you can forget what was going on, you're moving on to another arc. This is crazy! o_o
The drama would be better if someone else acting Yoon Mari. I have no problem watching Park Hana's acting but…
Agree! Park Ha Na portraited Ma Ri as a very innocent, scared, delicate woman. A deer in the headlights that makes you want to protect it and care for it. I was disappointed when they changed the FL. But still the plot is refreshing and interesting. And also Ryu Sooyoung's acting is really good. IMO, Ryu Sooyoung's character is the only person that we can feel (his emotions). Park Hanbyul and Ji Hyunwoo are very stiff.
A short comment on characters after watching 27 episodes: Poor Kang In Wook needs a good therapy, not his wife to heal himself. Man... Is it so hard to see? You need a therapist >_< Why everybody just endures his behaviour instead of telling him the truth and let him heal? KIW needs a therapist. The drama shows us the danger of a person who doesn't heal his wounded mind. This is so wrong that he doesn't get any help. Doesn't he have a friend to tell him that? What a poor, lonely, devastated person. He can't have a normal life with this illness. Obviously, we can see that he is an antagonist, an "evil" person, but such behaviour is just a call for help, when a person can't heal their mind. It's not a "pure evil", an unreasonable greed... It's the way of calling for a help.
Btw., the chemistry between Ma Ri and Jung Won is hard to see. KIW steals the show. Who cares about the love between MR and JW when there is a psycho off the leash.
The OST is beautiful. Very captivating. I'm gonna listen more after I finish the drama :)
After 27 episodes I think I will drop it. I really like the cast and that would be the only reason why I would continue watching it. The plot is so average, the characters are just so so. I don't even enjoy the slow romance anymore. Does anyone else feel like dropping this one?
How to describe the ML in three words? Kind, obsessive and persistent :D He could definitely be described as a manipulative psycho but he's too nice and gentle for that. He looks so innocent, but behind his gentle face he's hiding a dangerous tiger :D
to be honest this drama is Ordinary, nothing special except the cast.that's the reason we watched it. ^^
I don't think it's ordinary. I've been watching kdramas for years and nowadays most of them are pretty boring - its all the same, the same predictable plot again and again. This is the first kdramas that I enjoy watching for a very long time. Nice production, good cast, interesting characters, nice humours, interesting plot and plot twists. I like how the bad guys are constantly being crushed by our team. Fun to watch. Some parts are predictable but it is still packed of action + nice humour. A good paced drama.
