Wow i have never been this angry ever with FL like seriously ok i get it u need dates to decide who u need to…
Agree - infuriating. I don't think the 2nd ML is a bad person, unless they really trash that character in later episodes. The FL lead has shown by her close but turbulent relationship with deceased sister, that she is focused on her career. Fine, so be it, and make arrangements accordingly as a toddler is a responsibility, not a toy. This latest episode instead of creating tension, just increases disappointment.
What a perfect epilogue - do not miss it. I loved it because it honored the social constraints of the Joseon era, and the ending circled back perfectly to that beautiful scene when they lit lanterns. I got the feels watching this episode and didn't feel highly manipulated to feel so.
"Hey the novel describes the FL as ugly, how do you think we could do that?""What if we made her a…
You know, for me it was refreshing to see to me not ugly, but an average looking FL be the object of desire. And when I say average, I mean looking like most people look.
Yes. It seemed like when the light was shining on Gyeong Rok, I knew that a truck of doom or something of that nature happened, Then when Yo Han looked out the window his face glowed and he smiled. It was almost as if the moment Gyeong Rok's soul was about to leave his body, the soul of Yo Han came back to life. Yes, they grab me by the heart, but I also think that if they eliminated that, I still would have loved the movie. It was a bit extra to do that.
Dang the drama didn’t come out and people are just body shaming and self diagnosing the actress to ishh. Yall…
I think people are concerned as there is a concern that social media exposure to body dissatisfaction leads to eating disorders. I write with concern, having lost a friend to this, and by saying this was done to get a role is concerning to me on the impact of a talented actress with a lot of influence. One can admire women without expectations of being so thin. We see drama after drama portraying idols, and the physical demands and control of weight. I don't know how many dramas I have seen where a young lady is admonished to not eat so much. There is lots of research done on this, you might check it out as it is a real phenomenon
Ep 14 set up beautifully by eps 12 and 13 - patience paid off. One of the most emotional redemptive arcs of late, the various threads of the plot all coming together, it was so well done. The cliffhanger so emotional as well. I cannot wait for the final episodes next week.
There's always one of you, haha. The United States isn't the only country with bad things. In fact, if you could…
Of course it isn't the only country where bad things happen. But it saddens me that in terms of the enormity of the Epstein files scandal, we are seeing other countries demand accountability, whereas we see our government going all out to protect and shield the wealthy and powerful. Not ha ha.
What I thought was a cynical assessment of the state of affairs in a fictional version of South Korea was a grim reminder of current affairs in the US.

I enjoyed this. I was light, fun and didn't take itself too seriously. I appreciated that it maintained elements of a comic book feel. Top drama? no, but what I needed for now, as I am on stress overload from the real world. The assignment was to entertain, and it delivered.
One line really caught my attention. She doesn't want to do good deeds as that would turn her into a human. Somehow, I think that applies to mankind in general - if we did more good deeds, we would become human.
Finished episode 11. I feel badly for the parters of all 3 family members. On to episode 12. Please pull it out of the fire. Their partners deserve better
i am on ep 7 i just can't understand whyyyyy is pushing her away. he is refusing her love yet showing opposite.…
the dynamics are clarified through a series of scenes in later episodes. While the shift in tone in these middle episodes is jarring, more is revealed about backstory and what triggers behavior.
What a torturous route this relationship has taken. Still unclear about rationale behind the breakup, which made the flow of the last couple of episodes so stilted. I remain convinced that the cast worked hard to overcome plot flaws. I liked the drama but wished I could have loved it
