The 2nd ML suddenly is a petulant little baby, the FL noble idiocy shows she think she knows best instead of trusting the the ML and her team, rfing them in doing so, the jealousy humor is stale and the previews for tomorrow totally suck.
Today's episode was very telling how the law can be used to defend the helpless, or as a tool to protect the rich and powerful. Very painful reminder of what is going on in the US right now with the justice system failing us, but some great pro bono attorneys fighting the good fight. This drama swings for the fences in taking on topics that are controversial, and I am glad they have the bravery to do it. Some I agree, some I don't, but the position is argued vigorously on both sides.
As for the plot, I can't stand the head of the law firm who resorts to blackmail to assemble her pro bono team and may or may not be participating in setting them against each other. Super sus.
really enjoyed the final episode, I got teary there for a minute or two. The leads were all convincing. My goodnes Nam Gi Ae has been busy! I am seeing her in 3 dramas simultaneously on 3 different platforms!
Let him work! Robert Downey Jr is an example that if the person is sincere in efforts to lead a better life, the they should have an opportunity to do so. I love his work and would love to see more.
ML Mom…-He’s so average-looking. Just walk through any street and look around. All guys look like him.FL Mom….-Can…
I hated that scene. The gall to say the ML is too handsome and rich for her daughter, after the same mom put all her eggs in one basket for the other daughter who was supposedly marrying rich, but got scammed instead. No mother should devalue a daughter like that.
Piracy is not stealing, it's inclusivity (which you are clearly so worried about), since it allows all people,…
It is stealing, as those who create the work are not compensated for their work through royalty payments. If you know anybody in the creative business they will tell you so. What you are talking about is an attitude of entitlement. Am I saddened when I can't watch something not licenced for my region? yes, very much so. But there is plenty out there available for me to enjoy.
I love the message at the end, as we get a glimpse of the hardships and suffering during the IMF crisis. Furthermore, Tae Poon is not poisoned by thoughts of revenge, but sees the big picture of people impacted by decisions, needing to survive by making a living. For him, an apology settles what is needed. I also like that success is a result of caring for people - as opposed to punching down and viewing competitors and something to be annihilated and eliminated. I really enjoyed this show, the message is was conveying on family, friendships, survival and love.
So grateful they perservered to bring this to screen after so much effort. Based on that, I think that also may have been why only 12 episodes, but they put so much into each episode, and the finale was heartwarming. I love the growth arc for the young people and the level of understanding reached between the Mom and the daughter - etc., These webtoon adaptations have for me been such a pleasant surprise this year - this and Study Group.
I look at highly rated older dramas and some of these new dramas are as good if not better than higher rated older ones. At this point, the ratings are meaningless and just trust what resonates with you. It has been a wild year regarding ratings.
I like the setup for potential romance of the 2nd leads. Often the 2nd FL has the feel of getting a consolation prize, but the 2nd ML is a gem, and both have a chance for happiness. I hope it works out!
