True to everything you said but what I'm enjoying the most about this drama is seeing the lives of the men. Alot of these historical dramas are from the female POVs and only brush the men as love interests but this drama is giving alot of space to see how the societal and family structures and battles playout for the men involved.
Although they are expected to not involve themselves in the "inner court" drama, the things happening there shape their lives. It's so much fun watching all these male characters interact and intersect with it.
I've been hoping for a drama like this and who knew I would happen upon it in a drama named after a female character.

They met as relatives and took each other as relatives but then they fall for each other while taking themselves as uncle and niece because they aren’t actually blood related! 🤷‍♀️ To each his own!! To me it's 😐👀

One bed trope🫢?

Baron Chen's Crown Prince is so creepy and sleazy. I commend the actor. I haven't been this put off by a character since Shen Yu Rong from the Double.

I know they aren't blood related. But they are living together and allowed to be so close because they are supposed to have familiar feelings for each other.
I can forgive Shen Yuan because it's like obsession of abandoned child for the main child turning into something else after a time and status lapse. But Lin Mao and Yi Xiu have only ever known each other for this period of time with these identities. There is no reason to think of each other as anything but family.
I'm from a big family, my family friends and their children are off limit.
It's weird they would develop feelings for each other🤷‍♀️

Yi Xiu and Lin Mao give me the ick. She really should end up with the Han boy. I ship it too

Yi Ning's father and mother grew up together. It's bad enough to mistreat your own child but the child of a childhood friend whom you married should alteast elicit some protectiveness from you?!? Right?

Which ever show I watch 2nd suffers; because last week I thought RON>KMLM but this week I'm like KMLM>RON. But I think it's more on the order I binge😅

I have PTSD from that actor. Same with the actress that plays Zhao Lisu's mum in LLTG. There are some actors that once ypu see them you expect the worse😆

Top tier enemies to lovers set up. Truly enemies but it's complicated, so when they stop being enemies it doesn't trivialise haven called them enemies. The made-for-each other vibe and set up is also solid.

Colour me triggered. That little boy had a panic attack and his "father" called him what??!?😥😢😭😭

The visuals he's serving is messing with my attention to the plot. Like how am I supposed to keep up with the subs when I'm staring at his face🤭
