So Duan Jiaxu was like a male version of Wang Yifan, that Sang Yan found in college after his high school romance didn't workoutπ«₯. They are never beating the allegations π
ep 1 is perfect! I just realised I dont know how to rate each episode, how do I do that? haha I can only rate…

this drama has multiple main leads not just one, some of the couple's story have love triangle but it isn't overbearing…
The drama is like a group of short stories about 5 sisters. There are 10 main leads plus the mother and an adopted sister. By the end of the drama there are 6 couples. 5 couples have equal number of episodes dedicated to their lovestory. The adopted sister's story is the "sidestory/ second lead couple"!
I made a review before I finished the drama so I haven't really talked there about YX and the Li Family treatment…
Thinking about the way things unfolded, I have to believe it was the rapid ending that almost ruined the Li family image. Their actions in the ending was somewhat unfeeling but you could also sense their grace and sweetness. If the ending had more episodes I think their thoughts and difficulties would have been better expressed. But my biggest complaint was Leshan herself. She was relegated to a side character in her story. She didn't have any moment of self examination or realisation unlike all her sisters during their arc.
Oh wow, how did the rating go up in 3 days from 8.1 to 8.4? Did the show get better with later episodes?
It was always good; it just had a lot of haters trying to drown it. But more people have finished watching and are rating it. Most people should rate between 8.5-9.0
Fuhui was kidnapped, when the third sister went back, her family kept asking about the third sister, but didn't…
She was the most independent sister. Kangning and Shouhua were sister besties and Haode and Leshan were a clique. Even Qiognu was either always with Kangning or the maid. Fuhui on the otherhand was almost always seated separately or speaking in slight opposition from everybody else. At first I reasoned she might have been closest to her mother but it didn't really ring true by the end. π€·ββοΈ There is always one "loner" sibling I guess!
Only Shen had real power; General She was going to abdicate and Master Du was rising but not truly powerful yet…
1. The Lis are connected to the Emperor. Their loyalties by virtue of Shen and Du and Yang are with the Emperor. 2. A family that provide wives is not a threat but an asset unless or until they start to meddle openly in politics (specifically royal succession) 3. ALL the noble families have better connections than the Lis. The marriages and friends Fan, Shen and Yang talked about were rich, noble or royal. The Lis are new comers. They've done pretty well but since they have nothing (Mansion, lands, history, royal bloodline, title or rank) any Emperor that fears them is not worth that position. A person interested in creating factions might try to force a connection but they are already the Emperor's people and Du and Shen refuse to "socialise" with the noble class.
Leshan was the spoiled rotten last born and she would be perfect for the reformed bad boy if she also had character…
Redemption arc from being a spoilt cuddled brat who broke faith with Yang Xian multiple times and lead her family to raze and bully him. Redemption arc from enemies to lovers. Redemption arc from hell raising violent teenage to responsible adult who uses her words and not her fist. Redemption arc from being the Li baby to being Mrs Yang. Leshan needed a Redemption Arc
Leshan was the spoiled rotten last born and she would be perfect for the reformed bad boy if she also had character…
The grudge is particularly annoying because she had given her word to marry him to repay saving Haode but shamelessly tried to renege. He forced her to fulfill her promise and bore the grunt of public disdain to force her to uphold her integrity. But she never recognises her part in the mess and absolutely no one holds her responsible at all.π€¦ββοΈ
Only Shen had real power; General She was going to abdicate and Master Du was rising but not truly powerful yet…
Du Yang Xi could become a problem in the future due to his influence over the scholar class but not at present due to his low ranking position. The Emperor already has him and Shen Huizhao in his team. So the Emperor wouldn't worry about his influence unless DYX creates a faction in court. Most noble families inter marry predominantly amongst the rich and powerful. The Lis are far from influential enough to create any waves in comparison. Yes a general without an official post is theoretically powerful but without the tiger seal or imperial order to command troops, he is near worthless. The Lis have no sway over the noble class, merchant circle or royalty; they have a few respectable marriages, if this is enough to make an Emperor nervous he would die of anxiety within 3 years of his reign.
Well, 5th sister's arch is a huge disappointment. I enjoyed this drama so much until the last 5 episodes. Seems…
Leshan was the spoiled rotten last born and she would be perfect for the reformed bad boy if she also had character growth. If she for example, was forced into palace battles where she had to learn to fight covertly and tone down her overt aggression. She needed a disaster brought on solely by her reckless that threatened everybody's lives that no one but her could pay the debt. They wrote her character flaw but didn't give her a redemption arc.
Honestly, I wasn't a fan of the ending. It seemed like they could've taken their time with it, and it felt a bit…
Only Shen had real power; General She was going to abdicate and Master Du was rising but not truly powerful yet while the other marriages where just merchant marriages. They aren't a threat because it was a female household and the Li Family itself didn't hold any official rank or had ridiculous amount of wealth.
It would have been nice to see General She try to get his bearing with his family. Retracing his memories of his sisters, and deciding if his loyalties lie with his siblings or the Son-in-law alliance. I would have also liked to see Qiongnu's lovestory fleshed out and for her to come to her own person like we saw Haode.
While they were fleshing out the 6th CP, we could see a less violent and more harmonious 5th CP scenes. Maybe Leshan decides to go for a tour at sea with Yang Xian to put her violent streak to good use.
And then Liang Han and Yang Xian fight to be Madam Li's favourite only to lose to She Congπ
So hyped you guysππππ
