Those MangoTV subtitles are the worst šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆ
I've seen worse... Maybe after reading so many MTL novels my brain has already adapted and auto-corrects what I read, but other than not making a difference between assassinating and attempting to assassinate I haven't seen anything that was terribly wrong or incomprehensible.

What is this about?

Kong Qiqi found that every time she came into contact with a case, she could retrieve some of her memories, so Kong Qiqi opened the On the road of investigating the case, Kong Qiqi met Mu Zhixi, the delicate and frail Ninth King in white clothes who wins the snow, but Mu Zhixi looks the same as her ex-boyfriend, and Mu Zhixi was also specially set by Kong Qiqi. Attracted by his solitary style of acting, the two fell in love with each other. The drama was a bit meh, ZYC was good though. He seemed comfortable carrying her. I haven't seen any BTS of it, but given his martial arts training I think he can manage. That boy is quite fit!

Well, I still like him... I think he was exaggerating a bit when he complained about Reba's weight, but not everyone got his "capricorn-humour"
I think permanently shlepping the FL isn't everyone's cup of tea.
Have you seen The Sleepless Princess? ZYC had to carry that girl in practically every single episode!

Hahaha, yes, I know. Being one of those skinny people who can eat continuously without gaining weight I can tell from experience that the "worry" is 90% jealousy... šŸ˜‚
Of course all those people on permanent diets will hate me, but few of them dare to say that to my face so they have to disguise it as "concern".
Muscles are organised in various layers and pumping iron often only trains the superficial layer. Core muscles that are required for lifting/holding weight usually aren't that visible. If there is continued physical activity, the tendons which form the connection between the bones and the muscles become stronger. That's how archeologists can tell about a person's activities even if all they have are the bones, because the area where the tendon was attached looks different.

Have you seen his bathing scene in Eternal Love of Dream? It's all mush, no muscle šŸ˜‚ I wasn't surprised at all when I saw the BTS.

That's what I have been trying to explain to people for the past three years (every time they mock his skinny figure): bulky muscles are no indication of actual strength! Only complex movements will train the surrounding tendons and tissue to provide real strength.
The muscles that people get from real work (i.e. ballet dancing, martial arts, physical labour) usually look a lot less conspicuous than the pumped-up muscles that you will get from, well pumping iron.

Same here. I'm still reading the novel and it's definitely a slow, slow, sloooowww burn. On chapter 65 (of 145)…
In the novel the CP is 20 years old, so the age gap is about the same.

Yes, it changes a little bit because we are starting to know the various characters and their quirks. I think the way the writers did this is pretty clever. Ask yourself, have you ever, in any film or series seen someone trying to revive an unconscious lady with beef jerky??

In its entirety, this was a cute drama with flaws. Not sure if its meant to be comedic, a spoof of other Wuxias,…
It is definitely meant to be a comedy. The original novel was a comedy, but the overall tone is more ironic and tongue-in-cheek, than the hahaha-slap-your knees humour of some slapstick comedies.
In the drama a lot of the comedy lies in the subtle details (i.e. the CP worries about wearing nice clothes to his BBQ date whereas the FL knows all about grilling meat).

Title The Trust Spoiler
Watched three episodes of this out of curiosity...
... and so far it is quite entertaining (and a little bit silly).
I was a bit confused by the modern setting at the beginning, but thankfully this is not one of those "I transmigrated into a novel" stories (a trope that I hate more than anything).
Body-swaps are quickly becoming a rather over-used trope and are is rarely well-executed. In this one the actors are doing a pretty decent (not great) job of it. I'll be curious to see if this drama can keep its momentum once the novelty and situational comedy of the body-swap starts running thin.

The one in Legend of the Phoenix was quite good, too.
Not that I remember... there may have been a kiss or two in the beginning. Later, even though they spend a lot of time together there's no touching, just longing looks. It's a bit difficult to explain without spoiling the plot.

Yes, but the happy bit is a bit short all at the very end.

Yes, it gets a bit angsty at times... but the relationship between the leads is good. The drama has some annoying bits like the worst emperor that I have ever seen (the character, not the acting) and some annoying side character, but there is also an amazing love-story between a second couple. I liked the fact that there are some very strong older female roles in this and the acting by the main cast is pretty decent.
Also, it was the drama that made me fall in love with JT's acting. Those battle-scenes towards the end will stay with me for the rest of my life!
