I love how jun didn't take advantage of the situation and even take care hanzheng in the jail then tell jiu'er…
Yes, I really wish some of the other script-writers take note of how the guys behind this drama have managed to avoid almost all of the usual boring tropes that usually plague this genre.
Had to drop it after ep. 13... the FL is clearly going for the wrong man (just because the script-writers want…
Yes, I understood that from the hints that were given. It's why I really felt the SML's pain of being robbed. This is really treating women as objects that can be sold off to the highest bidder. It surely happend in ancient times, but I don't want to watch it happening.
I think because people know his age, they all say that he is old. But I donβt think he looks old, he just has…
Seen from my perspective, he is still very young π It must be tiresome for him to be so often paired with kids who can barely act. In this one the FL is also quite young, but she's done a fair bit of acting. I remember seeing her in Ever Night. She was quite good in that role...
How many times have ML saved or suddenly appeared in front of FL when she is in a dangerous situation? I lost…
Thank you for explaining this! Yet another case where cutting scenes here and there without taking into account the coherence of the plot is making perfectly reasonable actions (well, as reasonable as stalking can ever be...) appear haphazard or coincidental.
Chong Zi must not be doing well for Tencent international(WeTv) because they completely removed it from the TV…
Instead of burying the drama they should "bury" those script-writers... somewhere in a dark archiving room... without internet connection. Or maybe an ice-cave, so they can reflect on themselves.
Been admiring the aesthetics of this show - each kingdom, culture and case has distinct and gorgeous costumes…
It is so refreshing seeing things in "natural colours" and people dressing in colours that actually suit them. Just watching some of the recent xianxia I'm now suffering from a pink-and-pastel overload.
Not started yet .....they were simply clowning π€‘It's a rumour most likely to be true, almost confirmed !An…
Sounds good! In my view other than the acting, the scriptwriting is the most critical element. Iβve seen too many dramas recently with plot holes the size of a large moon craterβ¦
Your assessment is spot on. I also think the key word is "silly." I am still watching because it's amusing enough,…
Have you tried Warm on a Cold Night? For me this is currently the best ongoing xianxia. It may be not as high-profile as some of the other dramas but the writing and pace are good and it managed to avoid some of the most dreadful tropes of the genre.
I mean he is supposed to be "boring" because he cast all his emotions aside, but what makes him different is his…
Thanks, that sort of confirms my suspicion. I guess I was never a π¦π¦π¦ girlie, not even as a teenager, so this may simply not be my kind of drama. We'll see if I can make it through to the character development bit...
The OSTs of this drama are beautiful. I can't choose which one I like the most because they're all good. Maybe…
Constellation is my absolute favourite, I just love Li Qi's voice! This is the third drama with JT where Li Qi sings one of the OST. They seem like a perfect pairing to me: one for the eyes and one for the ears π₯°

In this two episodes the writers managed to avoid so many of the worn-out clichΓ©s of the genre and instead gave us a grown-up version of a drama! I really cannot praise them enough for this!
The acting was similarly impressive especially in the silent moments without too much dialogue.
Unless, of course, those editors go crazy again with their scissors.
Even his voice is so squeaky and unpleasant!
