I think these problems are due to bad script writing. The FL's character has been changed a lot compared to the novel, so there are bound to be inconsistencies. I really don't know why they forced in the "comedy" tag. The overall tone of the novel is rather critical on what's happening so it would have been good to reflect this in the FL's inner monologue rather than turning her into this wise-cracking, annoying person.
