Hello :) I'm on ep 8 but so far the comedy isn't working for me and I'm not hooked. It may just not be my style.…
From episode 11 is where things start to get real. It still has its funny moments, but the angst definitely ramps up from here. Also, heads up: the new outro and background are basically spoiler central for the rest of the show. I’d skip them if you don't want the plot ruined

Yes, the ML transmigrated in middle school and grew up as the emperor, but lied to the FL that he arrived 2 hours…
Makes sense now. Thank you!

Wait, so the ML transmigrated as a middle schooler? If he returns to the original world at that same age, he’s basically stuck in a holding pattern until the female lead (FL) catches up, right? I’m hoping he isn't actually younger than her in the end—that’s always a weird trope. Also, how is he aware of the book if it hasn't even been written in his current timeline? The logic feels a bit circular. Sorry for my rambling, I hope I'm making sense. It's just a bit confusing.

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
The ML lied to the FL. He has indeed transmigrated way before her and has been part of this world for the past…
Alright, wow. Thank you!

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
I’m on episode 9 and officially confused. Correct me if I’m wrong, but did the ML actually transmigrate 15 years ago as a child? He told the FL in episode 1 it was only two hours before her, but if it’s been 15 years, does that mean the Crown Prince is actually his biological son? I haven't seen the donghua, so trying to piece this plot together is a struggle.

They're all epub format if you want to read locally! The modern ones very similar to the one you've read are "love for you" and "when I meet the moon". Though "love for you" is def more similar to this, i m sure you'll like "when i meet the moon" too. "When i meet the moon" also has a docx and pdf ver too. Oh, and the other ones aren't in a modern setting.

Try accessing it from the web version of mdl or copy the link and paste it in your browser. The app version of mdl is sometimes a bit buggy.

Title Love for You Spoiler
hi,is this a slowburn drama?
Hi! Yes, it is pretty slow burn, at least until they officially get together, but stuff keeps happening along the way, like a push and pull.

yes! i just started can this love be translated and genuinely felt like i was going a bit insane I had to mute the whole scene. the song plays right at the very beginning of episode one and immediately took me out.
like… what are they even thinking? it is such a high-budget drama, visually stunning, filmed in all these beautiful, majestic locations clearly meant to lure us in, only for us to be hit with an ai-made song that’s honestly painful to listen to.
and of course it’s in english. what makes it even worse is how much more obvious it is compared to the ai tracks i’ve noticed in other cdramas.

and to be clear, I’m mostly talking about the English tracks—those are the ones that sound off to me. I haven’t really noticed this issue with Chinese songs so far, and I think that’s largely because it’s the singers’ mother tongue. Also, has anyone else noticed how English songs are being used way more frequently—and in much higher density—in recent C-dramas compared to before? I wouldn’t be surprised if this is partly for convenience: clearer pronunciation, less hassle during production, etc. Sorry for the rant, it’s just really off-putting to me. I actually work with AI quite a lot and have made plenty of AI-generated songs myself (e.g. with Suno), and some of these OST tracks genuinely sound like something I could’ve made overnight. I genuinely hope to be mistaken but I just can't shake it off, it's so uncanny.

Title Shine on Me
btw, as much as I absolutely love everything about this drama, I already miss the era we’re leaving behind. We’re kind of doomed tbh. Recent dramas have started using AI in their OSTs—not all tracks, but at least one or two per show, and it’s very noticeable if you know what to listen for.
And yes, this is real. Just because a song lists an ā€œartistā€ doesn’t mean it wasn’t AI-assisted or that the voice wasn’t cloned. In many cases, the melody, chord progression, demo vocals, and even the lyrics are AI-generated, with producers only polishing things at the end. Some artists don’t even realize how little of their actual voice is being used—sometimes as low as 30%—in songs they’re credited for.
So yeah… it really feels like the start of a darker era for drama OSTs, and it makes me genuinely sad.

I have a rule that hasn't failed me once. If a K-drama is available in 4K with HDR is not worth my time.
why so? genuinely asking though.
