Hello :) I'm on ep 8 but so far the comedy isn't working for me and I'm not hooked. It may just not be my style.…
From episode 11 is where things start to get real. It still has its funny moments, but the angst definitely ramps up from here. Also, heads up: the new outro and background are basically spoiler central for the rest of the show. Iād skip them if you don't want the plot ruined
Yes, the ML transmigrated in middle school and grew up as the emperor, but lied to the FL that he arrived 2 hours…
Wait, so the ML transmigrated as a middle schooler? If he returns to the original world at that same age, heās basically stuck in a holding pattern until the female lead (FL) catches up, right? Iām hoping he isn't actually younger than her in the endāthatās always a weird trope. Also, how is he aware of the book if it hasn't even been written in his current timeline? The logic feels a bit circular. Sorry for my rambling, I hope I'm making sense. It's just a bit confusing.
Iām on episode 9 and officially confused. Correct me if Iām wrong, but did the ML actually transmigrate 15 years ago as a child? He told the FL in episode 1 it was only two hours before her, but if itās been 15 years, does that mean the Crown Prince is actually his biological son? I haven't seen the donghua, so trying to piece this plot together is a struggle.
Just finished reading the web novel and I loved it!! it was my first ever Chinese web novel. Does anyone have…
Try the ones in from this g-drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/12s9rejfoi8Vyw83ybTaLEjsCI5PotJSr They're all epub format if you want to read locally! The modern ones very similar to the one you've read are "love for you" and "when I meet the moon". Though "love for you" is def more similar to this, i m sure you'll like "when i meet the moon" too. "When i meet the moon" also has a docx and pdf ver too. Oh, and the other ones aren't in a modern setting.
Y'all are gonna love When I Meet The Moon (Novel by Zhu Yi - author of Hidden Love and The First Frost and this one is in the same universe)! It s supposedly gonna release in summer this year and the FL is Lu Yu Xiao again :)
and to be clear, Iām mostly talking about the English tracksāthose are the ones that sound off to me. I havenāt…
yes! i just started can this love be translated and genuinely felt like i was going a bit insane I had to mute the whole scene. the song plays right at the very beginning of episode one and immediately took me out. like⦠what are they even thinking? it is such a high-budget drama, visually stunning, filmed in all these beautiful, majestic locations clearly meant to lure us in, only for us to be hit with an ai-made song thatās honestly painful to listen to. and of course itās in english. what makes it even worse is how much more obvious it is compared to the ai tracks iāve noticed in other cdramas.

and to be clear, Iām mostly talking about the English tracksāthose are the ones that sound off to me. I havenāt really noticed this issue with Chinese songs so far, and I think thatās largely because itās the singersā mother tongue. Also, has anyone else noticed how English songs are being used way more frequentlyāand in much higher densityāin recent C-dramas compared to before? I wouldnāt be surprised if this is partly for convenience: clearer pronunciation, less hassle during production, etc. Sorry for the rant, itās just really off-putting to me. I actually work with AI quite a lot and have made plenty of AI-generated songs myself (e.g. with Suno), and some of these OST tracks genuinely sound like something I couldāve made overnight. I genuinely hope to be mistaken but I just can't shake it off, it's so uncanny.
btw, as much as I absolutely love everything about this drama, I already miss the era weāre leaving behind. Weāre kind of doomed tbh. Recent dramas have started using AI in their OSTsānot all tracks, but at least one or two per show, and itās very noticeable if you know what to listen for. And yes, this is real. Just because a song lists an āartistā doesnāt mean it wasnāt AI-assisted or that the voice wasnāt cloned. In many cases, the melody, chord progression, demo vocals, and even the lyrics are AI-generated, with producers only polishing things at the end. Some artists donāt even realize how little of their actual voice is being usedāsometimes as low as 30%āin songs theyāre credited for. So yeah⦠it really feels like the start of a darker era for drama OSTs, and it makes me genuinely sad.
