I don't hold that against him, he is young, and the situation was pretty realistic. I've overheard some wild conversation…
I can’t imagine any of my family member speaking of my love life that much and even less in public. Those nosy families feel very weird to me but they spill the tea and serve the drama on a plater
It starts as light and kinda funny but as soon that everything is cleared up and she forgives him, the drama turned bad. They had nothing more to say and pull up some bad cliches. I never felt the two had chemistry or a beginning of attraction for each other so it does help from episode 16 to the end. The side characters aren’t very interesting because 90% of them lack development they are just there basically. The few things I did like: 1 - the show did not went too far on the gaming aspect (contrary to falling in your smile). Gaming is a mix of acted game with chat between gamers + business. 2 - I really like the personality the lead woman had, pretending to be pretty but in fact a bad ass. The show lost me when suddenly they made her weak (afraid of horror movie, incapable to take care by herself of her broken door) I felt to make him looked to good they had to make her looked bad. 3 - Parents aren’t too dramatic and annoying. 4 - No excessive villain. 5 - No love triangle
Looking for other Chinese period drama with the same vibe as Perfect Match. on Viki or maybe Netflix, without fantasy or magic powers just regular Chinese human-being 😂. Any suggestions?
I honestly could not tell who was who and dropped it.
🤣🤣🤣 I went through that confusion too because I did get at first who were all those people and their connection and also because there is an additional young woman. Basically oldest daughter is a divorcee, second one is married already to coward man, 4 youngest are single and Mrs Li lives also with her dead son bride to be. At some point you get it.
Rong isn't worth the effort. In a way by ignoring Rong's crap and proving her innocence, GX embarrased her more.…
True. Learning Korean and having discussions with Koreans on instagram really help me to understand those social differences in drama. So now I try to not be too harsh judging characters because what is easy for me as a French (rejecting men, replying to mean old people, blocking an ex, cutting for good a relationship, refusing a drink, going somewhere alone…) can be a challenge for an Asian woman.

In western world is easier to cut relationships in Eastern world easier said than done as people gonna judge you for not getting along with your high school friends, college friends, work colleagues even if they are horrible. Eastern world put the group dynamic before individual’s interest
Drama recommended by a member. Thanks. My First time being hooked on the Cdrama. Easy watch, it goes slowly but not problem she is a busy women Halfway trough and I wasn’t bored a minute
I didn’t expect to enjoy this one. Easy watch I binge watched it without getting bored and it was not supposed to be my thing at all. I usually prefer dramas centered on working women and people between 27-42. Here you have 5 poor college guys in their early 20s struggling to understand young women. Male lead was like that clumsy puppy you have for a year that still pees inside regardless of the 4 walks a day, but he is still stupidly cute🤣
I believe a “teen” tag is missing here. Characters might be in their 20 but behaving like 15. Episodes are rated 7-13 on Netflix that the age range you must have to like it 🤣 Episode 13 and I am really bored I have fast forward all the gaming (80% of the content), male characters are very cliche’ and don’t think I can expect any growth from any of them. That thing doesn’t deserve more than 4.
The romance was not that good in it but still the first half was good as it has good comedy and in second half…
The stiff, cold, arrogant and distant man is an Asian trope that you can find throughout all east Asian countries dramas. Japaneses and Chineses have a tendency to keep the cliche’ for many episodes when Koreans usually break character after a few episodes or give background stories to make viewers understand that it’s just an act or he went through difficult trauma.
Girl watch shine on me,hes even more beautiful now and the drama is better😅💞
Yeah she took way too long to decide between the 2 men. I would have prefer also that her decision wasn’t connected to jealousy…but I think we do see jealousy the same way in western world vs eastern world.
I do agree with many of your points. I feel like the actors didn’t had good direction and the parts were badly written. No the first 15 episodes aren’t all in Finland. They took a plane to France, he said Island in the dialog but they were in Annecy for 40 minutes (across episodes 13-14 or 14-15) steaming themselves in a French car 🤣🤣🤣 I don’t believe production team worked with any tourism offices because they shot in public places, tram/metro only and used fake city names (Hull is in England for example, in his room there were a map of Finland but with a full fake country name) and didn’t filmed any monuments. In my country (France) if to do that and you don’t need anything you just need to inform the authorities but you can’t stop circulation or do anything that prevent business as usual you can proceed easily. I also think most inside scenes in Finland were shot in Beijing the supposedly white foxed have American accent and my business brain is also telling me for cost efficiencies reasons you can fly to Finland that much Chinese actors. If it was my budget I would have fly only the 5 actors (2 leads, 2 cousins, the good friend, the guy who hurt his arm at the end)
