I'm glad they didn't have ml completely removed from the kingdom's issues at the end. Atleast for three years, he's essentially the one in control even though Xiyang is the one ruling.

Murong Yao beat down was really satisfying. Now the gloom of having a great drama end begins, I'm sure I'll be checking for new episodes everyday even though it's already over🙃🙃.

Feng Suige and Fu Yixiao are now up there with my favourite couples in dramas. No dumb misunderstandings, love triangles, break ups, and when they fight together, it's beyond badass.

The emperor wasn't a grey character though, he was just bad. ML being a grey character was just a perception from the civilians because of his Killer God title not something the drama tried to sell, it's clear very early on.

I was really looking forward to this but the "atmosphere" and plot isn't what I expected based on the synopsis. I thought it would be a very chill, fluffy, family bonding, rom-com. It kind of is compared to a lot of the heavy tone dramas but it still has a lot of the tension of royalty, nobles, conspiracies e.t.c. There's very little cooking.

Not saying it's bad by any means. It was my fault for having expectations based on just the synopsis and 1 or 2 clips. The main leads having past notable dramas should have told me it wouldn't be that simple of a story. I guess I'll give it a shot once it's finished and I'm in the mood for that kind of story.

He has a sad/tragic past like most villains but that doesn't make him any less evil. Once someone crosses a certain line, no matter how noble their intentions are, they are evil. I like comparing Yixiao to him. Her life imo is more tragic than his yet she's not evil at all. He made the choice to do evil, just like his decision to sacrifice 300k people.

I don't even think he's sincere to anyone. The 3 people he supposedly cares for the most (Yixiao, Weiran and Ningfei) were manipulated by him from the beginning. He shot the person he supposedly cares for the most off a cliff for Murong Yao and his ambitions. When things are fine, he will be sincere but when things get rough, he will prioritize himself and his ambitions over everything and everyone. That's just pretending to be sincere.

The death camps make him downright evil imo. There's no excusing that

Unless I'm mistaken, FSG has the Feng battalion, which is basically Susha's army. The ones who were in the capital were just the leaders not the entire army from what the Murong marquis said

After seeing the previews for ep27 and ep28, I think I'm gonna wait until ep29 and 30 are released to watch. At least I'll try to resist because I've said that to myself so many times about this drama🤣🤣.

What was that Qiao Lin, YiMing nonsense on episode 30? Of course because she's the one in the wrong, all is forgiven in literally seconds. If Yi ming did what she did, we'd all be asking for his head

Unless I misunderstood, his son was planning a rebellion or at the very least, acted in that way. He wasn't executed unjustly, the prime minister just likes to justify his actions. He blame the ml for killing his adopted son as if he was killed unjustly when that same adopted son sent assassins after the ml and was trying to kill the ml's soldiers.

In fact, they were let off lightly. His crime(treason/rebellion) is punishable by death of their entire family line as the emperor says, not just in this drama but in general. The reason the punishments were so severe was to prevent this exact case of a relative taking revenge. I'm not condoning it or saying it was right, it was just effective in both being a deterrent and preventing future trouble.

In your view, the princess running away with xjs is worse than; kidnapping children, starving them, torturing them, training them to seduce, training them to kill, killing the ones not consider strong enough, manipulating those same children into thinking he's their savior? His character is more likable than the princess but there is no way in hell, he's more redeemable. The death camps are inexcusable. None of the other bad guys have done anything remotely close to the vileness of the death camps.

He didn't make/own death camps for survival, it's for his own ambitions for the throne. That excuse of "survival" is the same type of thing the son of the prime minister was saying when clearly planning a rebellion.

How are her actions beyond redemption compared to someone who kidnaps, tortures, kills and manipulates children?? Someone who was planning a massacre of 300k of his own people? She's annoying but let's not act like she's done cruel war crimes

The mom was in the wrong for trying to take their children away. I also understand that she didn't want Suige to turn out like his father after becoming emperor but she also went about it the wrong way.

That being said, the emperor is also a 1000% in the wrong for the way he raised Suige after his mom's death. I'm seeing a lot of people blaming the mom and even Suige for not wanting the throne but Suige not wanting the throne is honestly the emperor's fault. Instead of raising him as a heir, he instead raised Suige to hate him, why tf would Suige want anything to do with him after? After what Suige learned today, I don't blame him for not wanting the throne either

Could FSG's father be the one who sent the assassins that almost killed the Murong father and son?? Since he wanted FSG to basically be a monster, I'm assuming he wanted to isolate him and get rid of any close bonds he got. That's probably why he sent the Murong duo away.

The whole confrontation with the emperor was amazing. The plot and the reveal was also amazing. I honestly don't know if I hate the emperor or not. That being said Suige has just been going through it these past few episodes. At this point, I think the 2nd prince will also betray him.

Ep24 is intense. Ep25 also seems intense in another way😅

The dancer and in a way, the empress make sense. With Xiyang I just tell myself, that's how a very sheltered and spoilt teen princess would behave.

That's now 3 women "obsessed" with a man who doesn't love them. Princess amd sml, dancer and Murong Yao, empress and emperor.

So far, the dancer has had the best progression as she not only moved on but also wants revenge. I pray for my girl Xiyang to find that kind of character development 🙏 🙏🙏
