But I don't understand the hate/dislike for Xia Jingshi & Feng Xiyang. They are deeply flawed characters,…
In the book, he doesn't do the unforgivable things he's done in the drama. No matter what hidden layers or perspective they show for him, a lot of viewers won't sympathize with him. Kidnapping children, torturing them to be death warriors, killing those who aren't good enough, manipulating the strongest into thinking he saved them, wanting to sacrifice 300k citizens, shooting fl off a cliff. It's just too much
Understandable on POB. I think it's one of those that you either like or hate, no in between. Coroner's diary I loved the relationship of the main couple. It, who rules the world and now FH, I love because the main leads feel like true ride or die without the usual misunderstandings and love triangles.
I liked shadow love but didn't like 2 things. I get that ml was basically superman but I wanted more scenes of fl fighting or leading troops. 2nd, ml getting blamed by everyone for letting fl go back to her kingdom when he did try to stop her. How was he supposed to know she would choose to die or that she wanted to stay with him? Even the trash "sml" got some moral high ground, testing the ml's love for the fl. It was really annoying.
For me, fated hearts, prisoner of beauty, coroner's diary and first frost are currently my top 4 in that order.
I know FH isn't finished yet, if it messes up I will just adjust. Coroner's diary was my favourite but the last 2-3 episodes pushed it behind prisoner of beauty.
Every time Jinxiu kingdom my finger hurts with how first I be pressing the button to move forward like take guess…
Same here. Love the drama and admittedly I am a little interested in the Jinxiu stuff but the Susha side is just so much more interesting. Honestly even more interested in the bad guys on the Susha side than anyone in Jinxiu.
If they made the princess have some character development on the Jinxiu side, I'd be interested in seeing how she navigates things but alas, she's still clinging to her obsession to xjs. I just don't care about the two princes, both of them are horrible.
didn't care about jinxiu honestly, coz i also didn't like xjs or that king. downfall kingdom
Honestly, same. Just burn the entire palace. The only thing I want for XJS is death. Ever since the death camp reveal and that little girl dying in that cell, I just want him dead. The death camps are irredeemable unless they literally say it was a lie
imo all these villains are just evil for the sake of it, the sad/tragic histories are just excuses they give themselves…
I get that and also think its done well in the drama. I just personally won't feel pity or sympathy for all these people because they have a sad backstory. They are giving others tragic lives because their lives were tragic so in my eyes they are actually worse than whoever hurt them. XJS-I want him dead because of the death camps, everything else we know can be excused but the death camps were too much. Whatever he went through is nothing compared to the cumulative suffering inflicted on all those children, both those who lived and those who died. Same applies to Murong Yao.
I could actually sympathize with the prime minister and/or empress because atleast their plans are sorely targeting the emperor and FSG. As soon as it's revealed that they are hurting/killing innocent people though, I lose all sympathy and just want them dead with no redemption.
Anyone know what verified/stars rating is? When you click the drama rating and it shows a "breakdown", that's one of the ratings shown and it's almost always much lower for every cdrama I see
Sad history and misunderstanding with ml and his best friend. Appreciate their friendship brotherhood very much…
imo all these villains are just evil for the sake of it, the sad/tragic histories are just excuses they give themselves to justify their villainous acts. ML and FL also have sad histories but they don't go around murdering and plotting against the innocent. Even if ml went back for Murong Yao and his dad, Yao would probably find another excuse in the future to justify betraying ml. He's just ambitious and jealous.
Suige going through it. The conversation with Yixao was really heartbreaking. He now only has Yixiao. His sister left, father is dying, his brother has been turned against him and his other brother is a traitor
he better become king at the end of this...im not here for the life of peace stuff... He needs to Rule
Agreed but considering we already saw the super peaceful house in the middle of nowhere, it's most likely that's where they will end up. First and foremost I want them alive even if it's away from the palace or the battlefield lol, but I'd prefer they are alive as rulers or generals
Rank your baddies or suspected baddies here...or who you think is the BIG BOSS/MAIN VILLAINs ....Not in order,…
Prime minister Zhuang and/or Murong Yao will probably be the midpoint bosses then XJS as the final boss as he tries to get his so called great ambition/plan.
I haven’t read the novel, but after all the little excerpts, I feel like they’ve kept almost only the characters’…
Pretty much just names and their titles. Almost all the characters' personalities are very different, motivations and plot are also very different. The big standout that is still similar is the relationship between the princess and sml(princess being obsessed with him) but based on trailers, intro and outro, that won't go the same way as the novel either. imo it's for the better
The scenes of them understanding each other from far away were so good. When FSG finds out she didn't leave and when FYX realizes FSG's people are helping her and she does a little smirk. Now this is a power couple!
Nah. Perhaps your argument would make more sense if the guy actually loved her back. Stealing an important token…
She grew up sheltered because she's a princess that's loved by the emperor her father, empress (step mother who seems to genuinely care for her) not because of the ml's "overprotectiveness". Thibking about it, he was most likely in the army as she was growing up.
He's asking her not to marry an enemy prince, she refuted and he took a step back and allowed her to marry him. He's now asking her not to go to the enemy prince's nation. Even ignoring all the evil shit sml did, there is no explanation needed for why he doesn't want that. In fact we see early on that ml is actually supportive of her having "freedom" when he takes her out before the marriage fiasco. None of the "sniffling" love you accuse him off.
Strangely enough, I actually like the princess a bit more after her confrontation with the ML, at least the woman…
Nah. Perhaps your argument would make more sense if the guy actually loved her back. Stealing an important token from the emperor, eloping, threatening to kill yourself, being a human shield, not listening to your brother and father who have shown you nothing but love and adoration, betraying both of them, betraying her kingdom..All because he didn't kill her. He didn't even save her, he just didn't kill her. All for someone who has told her that they will never love her. That's delusion. There's no way to excuse her after he told her that
Even if ml told her, she would have just said he was lying to try and stop the marriage/eloping and you know it. She is beyond obsessed with the idea of love. At best it's extreme naivety due to her sheltered upbringing and at worst just outright delusion. I don't outright hate her but her actions are inexcusable. I can only hope for redemption for her.
