When you watch ep7 you will understand. The director explains Ming that in the shoot of the scene where Ming fell in love with Tongs back, it was actually played by Joe 1. And Joe 2 is doing a re-shoot of that scene as Tongs stand-in. That is the moment Ming breaks down, because he realised that he was always in love with Joe and not Tong.
