To all the novel readers....lemme know ur opinions...but i personally want the series to somehow get joe's soul…
In the last scene of the trailer, Joe was in a wheelchair if Im not mistaken, right? Ming was hugging him from behind, on a roof. That was the moment when I thought that by the end of the series Joe might really get his own body back. Because in the novel Joe was never in a wheelchair. So maybe they found his body which was weak and needs a wheelchair for some time and his soul swaps back. Idk call me crazy π
Question for someone who's read the novel. Does Ming ever find out that the Joe he knew is in the new Joes body?…
Ok, spoiler ahead .... read at your own risk!!
As far as I remember, in the novel Ming realises that he is in love with Joe while he (Joe) was filming in the mountains. He was about to drive there and wants to talk to him (Joe) and start over when he (Ming) received the information about Joe's accident. Ming is heartbroken since that day. In the elevator scene with the new Joe he (Ming) feels something about him (new Joe) so he asks him if they know each other. And because the new Joe remainds him of the old Joe (his back) he tries to get near him as a substitute for the old Joe. Later he finds out that the new Joe is the old Joe in another body. He apologizes and begs for a second chance, but Joe still thinks he loves Tong and just feels guilty because of his death. Due to several circumstances Joe ends up in a FWB relationship with Ming (Joe needs money and Ming pays him for s*x) and Ming tries everything to make Joe fall in love with him again. Joe also keeps the new body.
But I don't know if the series will be close to the novel. So there might be some changes.
