Yeah. He wants to became King to save the People, he cares about his country more than his own life and honor. I also don't like the fact they try to reach the peace with a terrible lie, but he is not evil or greedy. His intent is pure, but his way is wrong. But as you say he doesn't necessarly need to be the King, he wants to get rid of the psycho king. Such a complicated matter.
While Kang wants to be King to save his loved ones. Tbh the best solution would be to them to collaborate. Together they could save the country. The people around them are the really messed up ones.

Since I just watched all first 10 eps, I wanted to ask to people that usually follows it on air:
usually how much it takes for subtitles? (I know that the ep in Korea still has to be relased).

And it keeps getting better <3 Plus I find characters really likeable.

Can't believe I was missing this drama because of the misleading title and the fact no one is talking about it. I was sure this was a romantic drama. Loving it so much <3 Underrated.

ps: about misleading I mean that from the title this looks just a romcom about a secret guest house, but that's like 1% of what actually happens in the story X'D

That's what I mean. I wanted to know more about how the world/military was handling the alien situation and know more about aliens (they gave us hint on them communicate between each others). It's not really about him shooting them (he could have like just killed 2)... it's a common thing in survival to have a crazy bitch. The thing is that they used THAT as an ending. Like--- this is a type of story that could have had way more eps. Discover more about aliens, what actually happened to shelters... what was public reaction to all. What happened to the world. Where other schools where... and so go on. It had so much potential.
Got pissed a lot about the "oh they found a weapon to destroy aliens" --- it would have been cool to see them developing it and have a wider vision to all. This was disappointing.

I wish I could just vote this drama for first 3 eps, and leave behind the last ep X'D

damn ahahahha More than part 2, last ep--- I was wondering why everyone was negative, after watching it I'm "and now how the hell I vote this-- this was literally one of my most entertaining dramas"... I wish I could vote just first 9 eps.

This went so quickly from Survival vs monsters, to movies like Lesson of the devil with the shooting. I was fine if he killed like In Ha if THEY HAD TO make him became a murder. In all Survivals someone became a murder--- but like that? Really? At this point the dreaming ending would have been better X'D
I totally get the stress thing! But at this point it would have been better to have a drama, with another name, that was about someone going crazy to kill everyone. But this was a survival vs spheres. All the spheres plot was kind of useless.

I can-t call this horrible 'cause I enjoyed first 3 (9) eps a lot but--- spoiler below.

I never said this show doesn't have faults X'D I said that it's easy from your chair/bed to say that you can do better in a survival show when you know nothing about psychology and trauma process. A few characters were more annoying, but here I commented the situation as a whole. You can't expect that children in 2 days can act as blood colded soldiers--- and this is also wrong, 'cause we know that sadly most soldiers that comes back from war suffers from PTSD and with psychological problems.
Also insulting others doesn't make you better - you don't know me at all if you think for me every drama doesn't have faults. I also critic my fav drama; in my life I've never seen something without faults. But well--- I will not spend more time replying to someone that only insult others to make their life better.

I always come back to them when I think about the true Sawako and Kazehaya's ver. I miss Miura T.T <3

Want to spend 2 words over Sawako character. Sawako is not meant to be creepy or scary, but more as gloomy. The "scary" part of her character is her backstory. What is scary it's not her, she doesn't have to be like creepy or go around as a devil, the voices that surrounds her are the "scary part". When she was a child because of her outfit and hair she got mistaken for SADAKO from the Ring. And from then people stopped to associate her as a normal child but to a some devil spirit. A simple joke became something bigger that created many others stories: for example "if you look her in the eyes you will get sick" and so go on.
Introverted people/social awkward ones tend also to look at their feet and speak with tone voice to others, looking in this way gloomy and hard to approach. If we put this and all that gossip we get how her character got created. It's not herself scary (she doesn't have to be a monster), but it's the whole image that others has of her. But that's all her having problems to open to others and feel at ease. For example in anime was easier to notice her her becaming stiff while trying to laugh, that made her did weird faces that instead of bright smiles were more "creepy". But that's all.
Anyway I think Mikako Tabe's Sawako was perfect in this, she gave the right vibes and look. Pretty and natural when she smiles and gloomy/normal in the rest.

Anyway Sawako was such a kin in high school... remember one time I got said I was "scary" and "gloomy" 'cause I spoke at low voice and was introvered and didn't know how to communicate. Anyway now I'm pretty different, but back then I saw myself a lot in her.

I always wanna see people in dangerous situation and see what pro warriors they are.
Wanna see them fighting and having PTSD. I just feel so sorry for them... they got cheated so bad.

Damn, was expecting this to get a better response since I find it so good. I-m loving how good are the effects and the whole cinematography. I think some are too harsh on the students.
I think some needs some empathy in understanding that they are just students and they got CHEATED in fighting something. They were said: you're secure, and hardly something will happen. Plus never got said what they were against until they found it in front of their eyes.
I wanna see people that comments in real dangerous moments : do you know that our body and hormones work differently? Some people frozen, some became dumb, some became more brave. I wanna see you all at 17 years old running from your life with monsters ready to eat you alive. Are they stupid to think to go back to a home that doesn't exist anymore? Yes, it is. As a calm and logic person on my bed staring at the screen, yes I was thinking: why are you doing that?
People can act with logic in ultra fear situation after didn't sleep and in a PTSD situation? Sadly no. Plus with serious trust issues, since they got cheated by adults and don't trust them anymore.
I know that some wants more irrealistic thing with them being super pro against monsters even soldier can't fight, but well-- they are just students cheated for an exam.
