At this moment all I'm thinking of is Shi Yeol--- I don't care about who will sit on that throne or about main romance. All I need is having a happy Shi Yeol. He stole the show and the hearts of the public... my true main character. Shi Yeol you deserve the best T.T <3
is Kim Shi Yeol(Kang Hoon) Main Lead here? (I always wanted to see him in a Main Lead Role)
He is one of the most 3 important characters. Male lead plot wise? No. Male lead in people's heart? Yes. He is by far the most interesting and well done character in the show. And have a lot of time screen. For me he got the full package in this drama.
Shi Yeol having hands down the most interesting part of the story. He has the most interesting character, best plot and best romance. He has the full pack. But... Shi Yeol, love of my life... how you could not be there on the most important day of your Prince X'D I was hoping the Shi yeol accident with Hong Ju was a few hours before the Prince vs King arrow scene... He went to Hong Ju to say "that would have been an important day and couldn't have been there for her", and then they got attacked. That attack was also pretty short... so even if it was time before he could have gone there to save him. But everything happened at the same moment - I'm confused X'D Was the prince going to do it without his bodyguard? "The watchman should always be at 1 minute from his protected, especially in life danger situation". If we take 5 minutes to actually say her "I can't be here today", 10 minutes for the attack--- it's not something that kept him so busy to not go to his planned mission with the prince. Unless everything happened at the same moment (as we saw in the episode)... then it makes no sense that he said "I have something urgent to attent" if that happens at the same moment. But well--- this was just something I noticed.
Said this- I can't see Shi Yeol suffering T.T He is my fav character and his full life it's just a following up of suffering. Look in next ep she will discover everything T.T
Shi Yeol has most of our sympathies not only because of his character deserves it (which it does), but also because…
Generally the actress is good, I loved her in Revenge of others and The Glory. But here her character is so bland. I can't say she is not likeable, but as you say "forgettable". Actually in my case I felt her character changed from the beginning. Before she was more resourceful and also using her wit to deal with stuff. But then she like became just normal and with no role except being a love interest. Such a waste. Shi yeol literally carrying the show on his shoulders (character wise).
Should i watch this? I got the impression that its one of those comedy dramas and the plot line wont be that good…
I would call this one of the most BALANCED drama I've seen, especially Historical. It has an interesting plot driven story with sad moments, but also it can light up your room. It's a lot balanced. I'm hooked, since the story is a lot interesting. I can't call this a comedy drama. It's not humor focused, and also it's not romance focused. It's a mix of: serious, light moments, some romance.. mystery, action. It's balanced and I'm loving it for that. Characters are 360°, same their stories. It's super good! I didn't want to see this 'cause I was like: oh no, an historical romcom-- will be boring as hell. Then I read comments and was like: wait, this isn't actually a romcom? And then I was hooked. Plus story keeps getting better and more interesting!
Im still confuse why the old man calls SY "His Majesty". Also, why do you think Chief Eunich betrayed LS when…
I think it's an obvious joke they have. He also said to the kids: who will be called this time "Your Majesty"? No idea why, maybe 'cause he is the protector of the Prince, or 'cause it's for the strongest one that deserves to serve the king? But it's just a joke.
I haven't started watching this yet but I'm not a fan of Love triangles or polygons for that matter. So someone…
Tbh I think this title and poster is misleading. It looks a romcom based drama, but the love line is more a plus in a plot driven story. The main couple is interested in each others and yeah let's say there is a second lead - but it's not a real triangle like usual in rom coms, where it's the important part. So I don't think I should call it triangle. So don't get worried X'D There are also multiple love lines, so it's not a harem drama at all.
I don't wanna see both of them suffering like that... Shi Yeol is doing his job as the Prince's watchman, and…
the thing is that on SBS profile of his character, at least that it's what I read around, it's said he was the one that killed him. Unless they just want us to confuse. But if you go to re-watch around minute 3:45, before or less of ep 11 (depends on the site you're watching it), they say "8 years" not 7.
I really hope that this early reveal will be useful for them to resolve stuff and work together. I'm kinda disappointed…
yeah, that it's a lot true but I felt sad seeing that he is not that happy to have him as a brother T.T But that it's anyway a first impression, hope next ep it will get better.
i dont want to see Kim Shi Yeol suffering, I mean, he (possibly) killed lord Jang's son because these two were…
I don't wanna see both of them suffering like that... Shi Yeol is doing his job as the Prince's watchman, and has to kill everyone that is a danger to the Right Heir. He is not cruel or a bad guy. Shi Yeol is a pure soul trapped in a killing machine role. I want them to be happy and healing each others wounds. I'm a lot curious about how he knows that song and what was his "worst day of his life".
it seems like Yu ha it's turning evil out of jealousy and concern, i just hope he does not turn into a hateful…
I really hope that this early reveal will be useful for them to resolve stuff and work together. I'm kinda disappointed in him being "disappointed" of the prince come back, when a few eps ago he was like ready to give his title to the right heir. Plus since he knows San, he should know that San is a really good and kind guy. And also he was like all "this is for the people" "I don't care about being King"--- hope he will not turn to be evil.
THE BROMANCE! I mean, I'm a huge supporter of the main couple, love them and their scenes, but this episode I…
Yesss, the bromance is my fav part right now omg. Plus I like the fact that Shi yeol personality is his true and not a mask. It's sad that such a carefree person has to live his life like that just waiting to be free. But I like the fact that he cares about San, not just as his master, but as his friend. They are so precious <3
