What are some examples? of The plot tries so hard to be deep and mysterious, but most of the time it just ends…
So from what you are saying here, there a clear misunderstanding of the drama.

Every character have hidden identities or secret pasts, Yes that the point of the show

Literally every character name have meaning for example

Lu Wuyi 陆无一 mean a a self that doesn’t truly exist

Ji Ling 纪灵 a soul that is not free

These name are core to them, it actually tell you their fate and struggle within the story and the overall plot.

"Instead of revealing things step by step, the show keeps stacking more secrets on top of each other, so it feels like delay instead of progression.
The repeated trust and betrayal cycle
Characters team up, then suddenly suspect each other, then betray each other, then team up again. It happens so often it stops feeling meaningful."

These are the core themes of the show, from the moment you are introduced to the 4 lead and their role at Wei Manor. You eventually learn that the murders were not caused by a "demon" but as a result of human nature. The actual demon Xiaowei was still hunted down, and his beloved eventually paid the price for it. The person responsible for her death was someone she saved from poverty. Ji Ling delivered an important line, calling Luo Wei the real "demon"

From the controversy from Xiaowei eventually unveils into a bigger plot between Long Shen and his attempt to regain dragon deity power, which now involves Lu Wu Yi and Wu Wang Yan, at the same time, Wu Shi Guang is on a mission to avenge the flood dragon clan.

both Wu Wang Yan and Wu Shi Guang name have meaning as well.

Illusion and past-life sequences

Literally was used to help explain the backstory of 3 important characters: the main villain Jiu Ying, Wu Shi Guang's backstory and his identity, and Yuan Wu Huo's background.

All these are use to advance the story AND have not replay any emotional moment prior to the illusion stone arc.

"The main goal keeps getting interrupted" - This never happen for you to say this, it almost like you didnt watch the show.

"The hunt for the demon or power keeps being pushed aside by new twists and side conflicts, so the story feels like it’s stalling instead of building forward." - All the arcs are literally key to the story against the fact that you think it's stalling, almost feel like you didn't watch the drama.

"Characters often speak in cryptic lines instead of clear explanations, which sounds deep at first but doesn’t actually add real meaning."

Again, which line and who?

"Basically, it keeps adding layers instead of resolving them, which makes it feel more complicated than actually deep."

It actually resolve most of it as of the lastest episode.

Oh goodness; poor JL…all CW’s fault it was never his duty to pretend to be a dragon: https://weibo.com/7871521048/5287558529155104
I always wonder if that scene with his eye bleeding is the back story of Li Shi

I mean she also lying to JL, cause WWY isnt the reason why she stuck in the loop
Sure, but do you really think it would take LWY countless time rewinding time according to her to figure that out ?

Good point, but this is a misunderstanding of timeloop though.

You say it weird that she been through it hundreds of time, yet she never told anyone.

How would you know she never ask anyone ? she might and probably did ask for help.

we actually don't know why the "loop" is happening without of course watching the original trailer or seen "leak script"

she not stuck in the loop really, she causing it to happen because she trying to change something.

Again, this was a fear I had when time traveling is used in any storytelling, it often leads to these kinda of confusion and is poorly executed. I don't know how it is gonna be executed here. So we just have to wait and see

ofc course! But I want to point it out. A lot of people do read the comment section before deciding to try the drama.

What he wrote seems reasonable, with thoughts behind it at a glance. But I want to point out that it is not at all

This isn’t even from any “leaked script.” It’s from the episode itself.

She states that she’s been stuck in a time loop countless times, but she never mentions what’s actually causing her to go back.

She suggests it might be due to her fear of losing WWY. But throughout the episode, both WWY and WSG show that WWY never once considers LWY as anything other than her sister. If anything, WWY just feels bad that her actions led to Su Jian’s mother’s death.

All of this shows that WWY isn’t someone who would abandon LWY, even if the memories are fake.

So the question is, why does it take LWY rewind time in countless time ?

It ok there nothing wrong with being confused, at least you know why it confusing to you.

Here are example of why what he wrote got zero substance.

“It thinks it’s smarter than it is” - vague and dismissive

"One minute they act one way, the next minute they’re completely different, and it never feels earned." - Who? What was the scene?

"And the dialogue… honestly, it tries way too hard to sound deep. Characters keep saying these vague, “philosophical” lines that don’t actually mean much when you think about them." - Again, who? What was said?

Just curious what else do you want to know about the 10th dragon son ?
So you want more character development.

so what it is about his character that you felt wasn't develop?

because it was pretty straightforward

Going from a demon hunter seeking revenge against the people who caused the flood dragon massacre.

To discover that the people he thought were responsible weren't, and it was really his hidden identity that invited the real villain to cause that tragedy.

Now he is grappling with accepting his identity and learning what it means to be the 10th dragon. * We are here*

There isn't really anyone who could further his development; maybe this will change when we meet the real Chi Wen again, whose body is still stuck in the dragon abyss.
