They probably did not plan for this, but it's just too funny not to point out... so in The Eternal Fragrance, her name before she gets the new name is “Xiao Bang Chui” (小棒槌), which literally translates to "Little Wooden Club" or "Little Mallet".
And the fact that this drama will most likely air after TEF, and her main weapon here is a mallet, is just kinda amazing, how coincidental it is

Novel is happy for the leads, as to if the drama will follow that hard to say … they change a good bit at this point 50% novel 50% original script . So it hard to say how the drama will end

So at the end of this arc in the novel… Tongzhou is still can’t get over the illusion he face and before he leave he kiss JLF which stunned her. When she return to Wuyue court this is when she completed realize she lost a friendship forever.
