I have watch the ending, but again people interpretation of the show might be different then my own.

It was a bittersweet ending for me it carry ALOT of meaning the more you look into it and understand each of the character

I don't know if I should give you either the actual reason or a philosophical one. So here both

The real reason is without the Fox Queen/JY influence what WWY experiences is all but a illusion. It was never real we know this but we see it in episode 29 when JY is kill early before she could infused LWY with the fragments and fix all the foxes memories.

The philosophical reason, This is how Ji Ling and LWY would have wanted to live their life if they could turn back time. Unburden from the weight of being Long Shen for JL and As for LWY to live her life the way she wanted and not as JY creations to further his plan.

Yes, this comments section is still a moment in time we share with each other, everything at some point will just be a memory.

So that's why, even though it's a happy ending, it was still bittersweet, only WSG and probably JL having memories of what happened from episode 1-29.

Even if those memories are filled with heartbreak, loss, and sacrifice, we can’t appreciate the ending if the journey never happened.

Well WSG is an anomaly, he remember the past... but which timeline 🤣

From what it was shown, it almost felt like that WSG just appear in the new timeline he was shock to see You Chi look proper.

As to him saying this is the world you die to save to JL.

In his mind JL might as well be dead, he doesn't know what happen to JL after the time gate closed.

I know people suggest that O cause JL in this timeline to die from clearing the drought early, but I don't think that's the case. cause of my theory about LWY and JL.

I STRONGLY believe that is how the event play out that LWY and JL time loop is fixed.

Because if it not it really remove the importance of that scene... What do you mean JL was gonna be alive anyway ? so LWY did all of that for him ? and in a different time line he was gonna be alive anyway with out LWY cutting her tail and telling him to dont be sad dont cry I'll always be with you.

So I really believe in the new timeline WSG in with out LWY, Ji Ling of that timeline wouldnt have live past that cave scene with A'Wu
