No there are are a lot of people who are enjoying it. Even if you dislike it they did find a way to keep people watching. I watched 12 episodes but I’m done. I never have liked movies or series dealing with infidelity. I thought this one might change my mind. It didn’t.

Love your analysis. Having been with my husband for 50 years and married to him for almost 48 years before he died he would be the first to say we were two imperfect people who were perfectly fit for each other. I found this series very disheartening. Wives - don’t get an education, don’t try to maintain a good home. Don’t even try to cook, don’t have personal goals and ambitions of your own, don’t raise your kids to be happy...because in the end it won’t count anyway. Husbands- you are entitled to have your cake and eat it too. You don’t have to own your own imperfections. You are a man and you have needs and if your wife no longer meets your needs it’s ok. Just cheat on her and dump her. Everyone will understand. Mistresses - you are not responsible for fixing your own life. You need a man...just latch on to someone else’s husband. You deserve to be happy even if it’s at the expense of the wife and children. And it’s not your fault if the wife is no longer the apple of his eye. He wants you. You want him. That’s all that matters. This is what I got from this series and this saddens me because that is not what marriage is all about. I don’t know what the wedding vows are in Korea. There has been no mention or reference to the vows. The closest was from the professors daughter who was awesome. Where I come from the vows are not just words you repeat and forget. They are sacred. Maybe that’s why this show is not for me. I wish you and your husband well. May you hit the big 50 and beyond.

That’s what it looks like. Somehow they’re trying to make the affairs romantic and conjure up sympathy for the husbands. I’ll say it for the last time. All three husbands are cowards and liars. Hopefully they will end of with their mistresses. Most affairs don’t last because being with someone 24/7 is the real world. That’s when they realize everyone has flaws . The affair is a fantasy world.

I agree with you 100%. Trying to justify the actions of these men is crazy. These are not young teenagers. They know what they’re doing and they are wrong. Trying to paint a negative picture of the wives is just an excuse. You don’t badmouth your wife to another woman. And just because the woman tells you to bring your wife to dinner doesn’t impress me. You shouldn’t be having dinner with him anyway. You already know you have him hooked.. kudos to the writers. Just another sleazy drama. Nothing to learn. Just enjoy if this is your forte.

Yes he likes to be needed...remember he’s a psychologist so he knows how to manipulate people. Still she’s no novice. They just toying with each other. They both know where this is headed. Both two sickos.

I predicted it would only be a matter of time before the older mistress tearfully bears her soul to the dimwit lawyer....and breakfast to dinner to getting drunk together...how trite and predictable...want to see a good series...try Vicenza

This is why it’s so important to seriously consider if this is truly the person you want to marry. Everything needs to be discussed. There are some things which will not be open to compromise such as religion. Children may also be non-negotiable. If one party only wants one and the other party wants at least five perhaps you should reconsider. As soon as a problem arises it should be addressed. Getting involved in an affair is clearly not an option. That’s what I found disturbing about this series. People proceeded anyway with no regard for the eventual pain it would cause.

That’s what threw me when I read the comment about the series being refreshing and how it was taking its time to show how the husbands and their mistresses fell in love.

This may be my last post on this series. I actually read a comment where someone said they found the series refreshing. I just don’t see how looking at married men and women deliberately engage in deceit and deception is refreshing. So I’m done.

I think so too. Seems like the are counting on viewers interest in seeing the wives get some form of payback.

Yes there will be a season two. So far the only cast members being shown are the three main couples. I really wouldn’t want to spend another seasonl focusing on the mistresses. To me the mistresses are like collateral damage. The real focus should be on the wives, husbands and children. How do you come out of an affair and keep the family intact even if there is a divorce.

The fact that he keeps telling her how young she looks is probably enough for her. We all enjoy compliments and if she’s taken care of her physical looks well good for her. The writer must really think people are dumb. I think most adults know that affairs don’t start with the first hello.

This has been painfully slow. Really when the doctor and lawyer are shown with their mistresses I fast forward.

I tried. I was very dissappointed in ep 11. . Just more of the same. We know all three men are already cheating...why do we need a buildup to the first kiss, the first bedroom scene, etc. there is still no justification. The only one who doesn’t know about her husband is the doctors wife. Why beat a dead horse?

He’s a manchild... spoiled and fickle...the only reason he’s going after the older woman is for sex and she won’t put any pressure on him to do better. He will be a nice boy toy.
