On Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) Mar 15, 2021
Now I remember why I never looked at movies or series dealing with adultery and cheating....too messy , too painful, too depressing, too much deceitful ness, too much emotional trauma. Real life is hard enough. There just were too many cringeworthy episodes. Even the daughters birthday party was sad because you knew her father was in bed with his young actress instead of being with her! Such a scumbag!

I have to add this...there really are too many stories to really do any kind of justice in a Season 2:
1. 3 cheating husbands
2. 3 cheating mistresses with one
pregnant
3. 1 wife who still doesn’t know her husband is cheating
4. 1 crazy stepmother who let her husband die and is seriously lusting after her stepson
5. 1 young daughter who idolizes her father and along with her mom doesn’t know he’s cheating
6. 1 wife who has an ulcer and is also dealing with a cheating husband
7. 1 mil who is dying with cancer.
8. 1 friend doctor who just found out he has a daughter who he doesn’t know but just met and is sleeping with his friend
9. 1 middle age man who knows he’s a rebound lover but still leaves his family anyway.
Too much mess to really deal with in any kind of sensible way so I would not get my hopes up. I suspect it’s going to be another hodgepodge of poop.

Finale: And it says "Look forward to Season 2 it will exceed your expectation." I guess we will be waiting for…
You never know what to expect with Netflix...there are at least three shows that were renewed for a 2nd season and it’s been over a year and nothing?

I forced myself to watch some of the finale and all I could come up with is Are all men just so stupid? Are their egos so fragile that it takes little more than a longing look and a soft purring voice to get you in bed? And such thirsty, needy, manipulative women? I can see Netflix laughing all the way to the bank. If people like trash let’s call it romance to soothe their conscience. The wives were made to look like pathetic fools. I hated the part where the 50ish woman is berating herself in the restaurant. Sorry but this series sent all the wrong messages. Growing up in an environment where women were empowered and encouraged to love themselves irregardless of their age, weight, or color I found this series terribly offensive to both men and women. Sorry but I won’t be looking at Season 2. Take care everyone. I have gotten more out of your comments than this farce.

Lol....how does a married man protect the dignity of his mistress? I translate that as this is our secret...did she think he was going to broadcast the fact that he’s having an affair???? This is coming from a 42 yr old woman who has been married before. So as long as no one else knows she’s good with sleeping with a married man. Thank goodness tomorrow this debacle will be over.

Can someone explain the upside to being a mistress to any of these three slime balls? These are not naive young women. These are full grown They can’t tell their families about their new love. They can’t openly attend any work related functions with their boyfriends. They have to be careful about where they go. They are basically just a sex toy and someone to boost the man’s ego. If the boyfriend has an accident or gets sick it’s the wife and children who will have control. Heaven forbid if the boyfriend should die. You could not even mourn publicly. You have to settle for a few trinkets and stolen moments at some remote venue. If your affair is disclosed you will be subject to ridicule and gossip. You may even jeopardize your career and financial status. More than that you have sacrificed your self-respect. So as much as this series tries to romanticize cheating and adultery I just am not seeing an upside. Even getting pregnant. The child will grow up at some point and learn the circumstances around his/her birth. Is the affair worth the anguish and pain? Maybe I’m wrong about the above. I just don’t see an upside .

Same. Have you heard when S2 will starr? I will watch only ti see how the make out and hopefully get sime revenge…
I think the ads were really misleading as well as the title. It gave the impression that this was going to focus on the three wives and their marriages. Instead the focus has been on the mistresses and the husbands. I think most of us have a brain. We didn’t need 8 episodes of mistresses. Actually the whole thing could have been wrapped up in one season.

The last notation I read said Season 2 release date pending and the one ad I saw only showed the husband and wives as returning cast members.

There are so many viewers like me , who just want to know where the writer is going , even if it's through reading…
I don’t think it would have been as dissappointing to me if at least one of the mistresses had acknowledged feelings but said no to seeing the husband until he was divorced and free That to me would have added another dimension. But for all three to be friends and all three involved with married men. There was an Amerucan tv show years ago called Mistresses. I only watched a couple of episodes but their lives were not all sugar and spice like the lives of these mistresses. This series started out promising but turned to poop. The wives were billed as main roles but they seem more as support roles and used just to justify the husbands and mistresses. If that was the focus they could have just left them out period. One critic said this was a train wreck and advised viewers to skip it. He was right.

Thank you for your comments. I also read the recap of Ep 15. I refuse to watch another episode where the mistresses and the husbands are having such loving moments. Apparently no one has a conscience. All six are scum. Why the ratings are so high in Korea is beyond me. Are these peoples lives so wretched that the justification for adultery and cheating is so appealing. The viewers have really been suckered.

Title Vincenzo
I am loving this...there are so many twists and turns....the balance between the dark side and the hilarious moments is just right. The actor playing the actual head of Babel is awesome. I hate him but he really brings life to the character.

I love these two. I think they have great chemistry. My only problem is this is just too short. I want to see more of them together.

I wonder if the writer is trying to show an accurate description of how people in extra marital affairs view extra…
I think you’re right. Someone close to me was involved in an affair. Despite the affair destroying her marriage and her being dumped by her lover 30 years later she still describes the man as the love of her life and speaks lovingly of that time. What she missed was the pain it caused her mother, husband, children and the rest of the family. It was a chaotic time full of turmoil which she still doesn’t acknowledge.

Just watched movie an affair 1998,any views on the movie?BTW it is an award winning movie
Personally I didn’t find the romance in it. How do you propose marriage to one woman and after meeting her married sister a few times you end up having sex. How do you not only cheat on your husband but you can’t keep your hands off your sisters fiancé. Ok you are lonely but what about talking to your husband about your despair. Also how do you just leave your child to flee to another country with your sisters now ex fiancé. I guess I just don’t understand the Korean culture. People said it had a happy ending. Not in my book.

If u think she is a sick woman with an ulcer a much worse health problem than a man cold. He runs around out in…
He is such a wimp and a fake. I hope his wife kicks his sorry butt to the curb. I just hate to see he and his mistress finding happiness at the expense of his wife. But what do they care?

Yeah I hated how lawyer asked his wife to wear less makeup because people stared at them. Like I get that Korean…
I don’t believe a word he says. He’s a poor excuse of a man. I stopped watching. Can’t stand seeing he and his mistress fawning all over each other.

I still can’t figure out what this writer is doing he making the wife’s look so pitiful and the mistress like…
The writer lost me at ep 8....it seems like she’s saying it doesn’t matter what a wife does or doesn’t do husbands cheat and there’s always women out there whether they are young or old who knowingly get involved with married men. So being a wife is a lost cause.
