I am so anxious waiting for the conclusion to this beautiful love story. I ended up rewatching and I was reminded of just how much Jiang and Sean have had to endure. Both actors indeed have been amazing. They captured the essence of their character. They deserve a happy ending.
This is my last post on this series. It has been a most wonderful roller coaster of ups and downs and twists and turns. For me it was entertaining, intriguing and interesting from start to finish. I got what I came for. All the pieces of the puzzle were put in their right place. The good guys … and girls came out on top. I dont care what anyone else thinks. Yes, I am a hopeless romantic and a sucker for happy endings. Kudos to the fine actors and the entire production team. The music was awesome and whoever was set designer needs a nice bonus. As a fashion diva I need that sweater Hong Hui wore in the finale. I make no apologies. This is a fine way to start my new year. Now I just need a happy ending to Our Youth and See Your Love. They are not kdramas but bls. So what, variety is the spice of life. Happy New Year.
Thanks for the spoiler. I want to watch but no sad endings for me. I know the personal pain of having your soulmate die. I was laughing and talking to mine on the phone. Less than an hour later I got a call and rushed to the emergency room. Hearing that blue hospital signal go on and on was shattering. I already knew when it finally stopped and the doctor came out of the room what had happened. I will take a pass. Maybe next year. Happy New Year. Hug your loved one.
there is no romance in the show and they're merely friends.
I loved it when she ran after him after the fellow employees said farewell and she said he wasnt going to just leave without saying goodbye. His response was I already said goodbye. And when she was talking about coming to see him each weekend the best friend shut that down . It all seemed to go over our guy’s head. He just tasted freedom. His mind is clearly not on romance like you said.
Well, I hung in there and finally finished it around midnight. I am so glad I did despite my anxiety surrounding the subject of domestic abuse. However, I appreciate and respect how the subject was not glossed over or romanticized. I know some felt that Aoi could have handled the situation differently but I say unless a person has walked in those shoes dont judge. I also love how the series dealt with autism. Again I think they did an outstanding job. I have a tenant whose daughter is autistic. The first time my husband and I met she and her daughter the daughter was having a meltdown. Her daughter was five at the time. Fortunately, my husband was always great with children and he knew just what to do and was able to get her to calm down long enough for her mother and I to talk. She is 13 now and thriving. The series shows how important a good support system is. I even appreciated how the back stories were handled. Punishment was meted out as required by law although I was hoping the abusive husband/father would have gotten a good beat down by the brother. But realistically, I understand that too. Of course the actors playing the two brothers were phenomenal but they struck gold with the child actor playing Lion. He was awesome. And the ending was perfect. Loved how the brothers reaffirmed their love and support for each other while recognizing the need to live their own life.
I am trying to finish this today but I have to take a breather after each episode. I just finished episode seven and am still having mixed feelings about the female reporter and even the female coworker. I know their intention may be in the right place but they still seem a bit naive to me when it comes to domestic violence. Maybe this is just to close to home for me. When I was a newlywed my mom discovered that my cousin was a victim of domestic abuse. The abuser started threatening her three young children. One was the age of Lion. My mother knew going to the authorities would only intensify the situation. Since the abuser kept a close eye on my cousin and the children my mom came up with a plan to get her and her children to a safe place where she and her children could be safe and protected. She got the help of two other relatives. All of this was done in secret. I didnt find out about it until it was all over and they were safe. I often think how brave my mom and those other relatives . People say get an order of protection. I have a friend who tried that and her husband beat her even worse. She finally got up the courage to take her young son and flee. Her son resented her for doing this but she explained that had she not done that they both would have been dead.
Jessica and Sung Hu serve absolutely no real purpose……so annoying….when will writers realize we look at bls with one purpose in mind which is to see bl and not intrusive females . The second couple is much more fun to watch and adds to the storyline. That said the scenes with Yang and Jiang are always so fun and loving. Just watching these two together just touches the heart. Just one more episode. We need a happy ending.
This is what a really well written, well directed, well acted bl looks like. Episode 9 is so good. I was on pins and needles as Jin and Haruki keep missing each other. All I want is for my happy ending to start off 2025 on the right note.
I love love love these last two episodes. I kept thinking how messed up both families are and the price people pay for fame and fortune. So many twists and turns. So many secrets. I know some people question how could the grandfather be so cruel and how could the parents go along with the lies and how could you literally sell out your own daughters and take hush money from the killer of your son. But I find it just a mirror of the life many people live in. It may not involve murder but how many families have secrets. I am putting my money on Hui Ju. She is a survivor. I cant wait until next week. More chills and thrills right down to the last minute! I love it!
I just cant help myself…I am so into this series. I love the storyline. I am one who always wonders how much of what we see of groups is real and how much is just to keep the fans happy and the company making money. While I am in it for Willam and Est the more I learn about LYKN the more I like and admire Lego, Hong, Nut and Tui. It just has a fresh feel .
This is the third time I am rewatching and it’s just something about these two that just endears them to me. They are like to broken souls who complete each other. The need to protect each other is there from the very first encounter. We wonder why Yeoung remained close to Hoe’s father. I think it was to protect Hoe. People probably took his tears at the father’s funeral for remorse. I think it was for relief. Wherever Hoe was he would never have to worry about being physically or emotionally abused again. But the curse still remained. At the end they are so free and it is so exhilarating. There is no longer a heavy cloud hanging over either of them. The shackles have been removed. They can see daylight. The tone and tempo of their life together plays like a happy melody. I think we were all rooting for them from the very beginning and by the time they got to the finish line I wonder how many were jumping up and down with joy like I was. So many awesome bl series in 2024. This is definitely one of the best.
Okay all Kant haters to the front ! I’ve seen many ppl who actually hate Kant l I guess when mentioning how…
Well put! I actually feel sorry for him the most. As he started developing feelings for Bison it was obvious how conflicted he feels. Thankfully I have never been backed into a corner like him. And let’s be real. People dont generally choose to be informants. Police officers use whatever coercion they can. I also feel for Style. He was just trying to help a friend. Anyway this is a hot mess. I just want all four my guys to come out alive and together at the end.
I actually liked this ending. They both stayed true to who they were without it diminishing the love they feel for each other. It reminded me of the ending of the bl History 3:Trapped. With Thiu declaring his love at the very end I have no doubt that he will stick by his man. The issue addressed was dealt with in a very compassionate yet realistic manner. In my country there are only 10 states out of 51 that have legalized euthanasia. The state I live in is not one of those states. I think if it were my friend’s father would not have taken his own life. Kudos to both of these awesome actors and the entire cast. I really wish we could get a season 2 but if not I am ok .
