I just cant get enough of these two….this is my third time rewatching. Imagine not seeing each other for twelve years but the spark is still there. The way Yeong looks at DoHoe is so captivating….he is a man on a mission. From start to finish I was rooting for these star crossed lovers.
This was a hard watch today but so well done and the growing love between the two is so beautiful to watch. Kudos to how well each conveyed the pain of being deaf both physically and emotionally. Loved the reaction of both parents at the hospital. The most annoying part is the fiancee. I still feel too many bls fall back on the addition of a girlfriend as a way to create drama. It always feels intrusive and has become tedious and boring. Otherwise this was another great episode.
The word that comes to mind when I think about a Japanese bl is intentional. Every word, every phase, every glance, every setting is deliberate and intentional. Some bls you can skip a scene or fast forward and not feel like you missed something. But not with a Japanese bl and this is no exception! There is a reason we get so many grey and dark colors set against the waves of the sea. Even their first sexual experience is overcast in darkness with a hint of light. It all is deliberately scary and exciting at the same time. Can their love survive? What other demons are still lingering? This is the cruel reality of youth and there is no holding back. This is art in the purest form and whatever the outcome I will be happy to have embarked on this journey of love and self discovery.
This is so crazy but I am really enjoying this. In a way it reminds me of Choco Milk Shake. I am hoping for a happy ending. Also I am a big fan of Arm and Porsche. If they are in it I am watching.
Once again, I am in love how they have updated this show while still keeping what happened originally intact. For…
I actually went back to the original because I remember it being ok but not on my rewatch list. For just the reasons you cite I felt some issues were diluted and never fully addressed in the way this version does which is why I am tentatively putting this on my rewatch list. I want to see Win and Per standing strong together in the last episode and no room for doubt regarding No and Pun. Hopefully the writers continue to break new ground.
The magic of Phun and Noh strikes again this episode ✨Their couple moments are so incredibly cute and wholesome.…
Yes looking at this cast of young actors I keep thinking this is the next generation of bl actors. If this was a test run they passed with flying colors.
Frankly I am a little tired of Pun. He is not stupid so he has to know he needs to stop sending mixed signals whenever a female is thrown in the mix. The star of this episode is Mawin. I was so proud of him and admire Per for standing up for him. I still worry about the two of them because they are still kids. Mawin needs an adult advocate. Overall it was a good episode excluding the appearance of another girl. Only two more episodes.
I binge watched and finally finished. Two reasons I stuck it out were Seo Hyun and Gong Yoon. They made me really empathize with their characters. Overall it was intriguing but I admit I did fast forward through many of the scenes with the neurotic ex wife. I can only take so much extreme nuttiness. One of the best lines in my opinion was when he told her she was demented. Lol…and it took him how long to come to that conclusion! The one thing I loved about this series is how it reveals the vulnerability and flaws they all had. Everyone has issues….and unless they are faced their inner turmoil only gets worse. The issue of mental illness is real and I am glad they did not sugar coat it. The situation with the mad stalker was so real. She went to the police. They got the legal response. I knew there was only one way to deal with him. I also enjoyed the fake husband. He was the icing on the cake for me. And the ending was perfect to me. After suppressing their true feelings and living in a literal fishbowl the ml and fl needed to rediscover their independence and their own truth. That last scene was beautiful. They will get back together. Do I need a Season 2? No…some things are best left to ones imagination.
I really dont like people who enjoy playing mind games. That is like holding a can of dynamite. Equally lethal are two people intertwined in a toxic relationship. This series has both so I look for it to get even messier.
I am in it strictly for Goon Yoo and because it is only 8 episodes. I just finished ep 1 and already I know every one so far is a candidate for the looney farm. I am not saying this to be sarcastic. I grew up surrounded by people who were aways one step away from being legally committed to an insane asylum. This looks like it is going to be a real roller coaster ride. On a side note my first thought was I hope the marriage worker gets tested for stds on a regular basis.
I cant wait to see Wei Ming get what he deserves. Both he and his parents are just despicable. The parents are just greedy parasites. I have watched family and friends face many marital challenges but one thing I will always be grateful for is their undying love for their children and grandchildren. Our happiness always took precedent. Even in my own marriage the one thing that was non negotiable….our children…they would always be with me…he loved his children dearly but understood if we didnt work out he could never cause me such heartache. Guo Guo’s grandparents are just awful!
Wow! Ep 3 I didnt see that coming. The Director and his boy toy…lol…this is like watching Manner of Death in another time and place. Anyone is suspect! I am hooked!
I just started watching and I like it despite the poor ratings. There is a sense of caution with the ml and fl. It will be interesting to find out what has happened in their lives to justify this. I also like how we get the various perspectives on work and dating. It’s sad and funny at the same time. I look at my young relatives who are in their twenties and thirties. I ask where are the bfs and gfs. They just shrug their shoulders and smile. The one who is in a relationship seems in no rush to get to the altar. And the ones in their forties appear to have given up completely. Their hearts have been toyed with so much they have resigned themselves to being single forever. So I look forward to what lays ahead. On another note I totally hate supervisors who feel empowered to make stupid and dumb comments at group functions. The fl obviously has some real issues. Already I feel sorry for the ml. She looks like a big red flag. Lol
