I am loving this. Watching him slowly falling for her and vice versa is so much fun. I know the roller coaster ride is about to start. I got my seatbelt on and I am ready to go!
I know this is a bl/gay series but what I consider a really superior series is when it somehow is able to transcend ones sexuality. To me this series does an outstanding job in depicting the life of a gay man in Korea. But it could be anyone’s story. Societal pressures are harsh be it economic, religious, caste, class, racial or in this case sexual identity. But what I love is the ending and how it ends on a hopeful note. Nikki Giovanni, a famous black writer, activist, and a lesbian said it best and I paraphrase her words….despite all that they endured and experienced they pushed through it and came out on the side of love.
Yes! Yes! The ratings have gone up as some predicted. I dont base my opinion on ratings but I admit how happy I feel when the ratings accurately reflect the quality of the work and the ability of the actors.
It's a cute series and I am enjoying it a lot. Am kinda annoyed that we sort of keep going back to the same issues.…
I have to keep reminding myself that this is high school and this is really how teenagers act. That is the appeal of this series. Even though it is mostly about boys they act giddy and silly just like girls. To me its saying feelings are feelings and have no assigned gender. Boys get jealous. Girls get jealous. It happens whether you are heterosexual or not. And boys get hurt and cry too. It’s just being human. That is the appeal of this series. I am still amazed at the performances of these young actors.
This was really good. I enjoy a good thriller encased with interesting side stories. Saving the potential for a romantic relationship between the ml and fl was the best choice. There was too much baggage that had to be unloaded. I do feel sorry for the fiancee. She lost her life largely due to an overbearing mother and a jealous psychopath. I have always been curious about the obsession and the motivation behind cosmetic surgery. The cases depicted were diverse and informative. It also touched on the subject of surgeries performed illegally and the sometimes terrible consequences. Loved the last scene where it looks like they are easing into the dating phase. They look like a good match and so for me it was a happy ending. Well done!
This was really better than I thought. I actually enjoyed it. It is sad but also very realistic. What I liked most is the focus on the two men. This is all about them and how each one has been affected by their gay relationship. One finds solace in the closet and the other finds madness in the truth. I remember visiting a friend in a veterans hospital . There was a young hospital worker at his bedside. Just his tone and body language made me question their relationship. When the worker saw me he left. I mentioned what I had observed to my friend. My friend just smiled and acknowledged what I saw. He then reassured me that he himself was straight. It happens. What is sad in this powerful short film is the emotional impact on the younger soldier .
I usually mind my business but the first episode is good enough to have me begging the CP fans or general fans…
Well said. Personally I go in rooting for each series and basing my opinion on each one individually. Right now I am watching five bls. Each one is different but each one is taking the bl genre to another level and I am loving it.
Oh wow I just figured out that the actor William is the actual William that recorded The Last Twilight for real real! I have that song on my playlist! I love it and now I love William even more! I have already rewatched ep 1. My only complaint is I have to wait another week before ep 2.
I am so happy to see Est in a lead role. This is not the usual GMMTV formula bl and I love it already. Love the storyline and the chemistry between Est and William. I am also glad to see Sammy, Drake and Pepper. Really in my opinion the rating should be higher. It feels new, fresh and intriguing. I have actually learned not let the ratings be my sole driver in what I watch. It is only the first episode but I am already committed until the end.
I just cant get enough of these two….this is my third time rewatching. Imagine not seeing each other for twelve years but the spark is still there. The way Yeong looks at DoHoe is so captivating….he is a man on a mission. From start to finish I was rooting for these star crossed lovers.
This was a hard watch today but so well done and the growing love between the two is so beautiful to watch. Kudos to how well each conveyed the pain of being deaf both physically and emotionally. Loved the reaction of both parents at the hospital. The most annoying part is the fiancee. I still feel too many bls fall back on the addition of a girlfriend as a way to create drama. It always feels intrusive and has become tedious and boring. Otherwise this was another great episode.
The word that comes to mind when I think about a Japanese bl is intentional. Every word, every phase, every glance, every setting is deliberate and intentional. Some bls you can skip a scene or fast forward and not feel like you missed something. But not with a Japanese bl and this is no exception! There is a reason we get so many grey and dark colors set against the waves of the sea. Even their first sexual experience is overcast in darkness with a hint of light. It all is deliberately scary and exciting at the same time. Can their love survive? What other demons are still lingering? This is the cruel reality of youth and there is no holding back. This is art in the purest form and whatever the outcome I will be happy to have embarked on this journey of love and self discovery.
This is so crazy but I am really enjoying this. In a way it reminds me of Choco Milk Shake. I am hoping for a happy ending. Also I am a big fan of Arm and Porsche. If they are in it I am watching.
