I have a young cousin who actually married a guy who was gay but was in denial. I saw it a mile away. Anyway he finally accepted his truth. They divorced but they remain friends over ten years later. This had some fun moments but it was still a hard watch for me. Are these fathers really representative of Asian fathers? Is physical and verbal abuse the norm? This is the 4th bl I have watched over the last three weeks where the fathers were just so brutal. I really felt so sorry for Phun and Mawin looks like he is just mentally and emotionally drained. Kudos to our young actors who are doing an amazing job. I also dont get why we have to have another girl friend enter the picture. Is the writer advocating for staying in the closet and going along just to get along? I actually find Noās exgf intrusive and annoying. I mean you find out the boy you like likes boys and you throw a fit. Who does that in 2024? Even in the era I grew up in if I had found that out about a boy I liked I would have been like thank you for helping me dodge a bullet. And if that was supposed to be my best friend I would be supportive knowing the backlash he was going to have to endure. Anyway we have three more episodes and I am still rooting for a happy ending for all our couples
It is over and I am all good. Kudos to the entire production team. I was holding my breathe until the very end. I am smiling. It was just a poignant and beautiful tale of the complexities of having a same sex relationship within an atmosphere of homophobia and physical/ emotional abuse. I am so relieved that both couples were able to break free and live the life they chose with the person they love. This was a breakthrough for a Chinese bl. However it was done I hope we get more in the future.
I like that bls are taking on storylines that really address deeply ingrained societal issues but this has got to be at the top of the ladder when it comes to what may be the most challenging subject to tackleā¦..religion and homosexuality. If done right bl devotees should prepare themselves to be emotionally drained. I watched the trailer and just in those three minutes I foresee alot of inner conflict and angst. The fact that this is set in 1996 also causes me concern. Even in my country where it is looked at as being tolerant and open minded that is still generally out of the religious domain. We tend to be very tolerant regarding homosexuality until the subject of religion and heaven and hell comes into play. It appears as if the specific religion being addressed is Catholicism. This definitely is not the first time this storyline has been used but I am really anxious to see how the director tackles this subject. I applaud GMMTV for stepping into the fire. Already I know it is going to be on a roller coaster ride of highs and lows.I love Gemini and Fourth. They are so talented I have no doubt they are going to give it all they got!
What can I say but Wow! Each episode gets better and betterā¦..the mystery and intrigue just heightens! The ml and fl are so crazy! I love it! Cant wait until they final acknowledge their true feelings for each other!
This is such a beautiful story of love. I usually dont like or watch stories with sad endings but here I am and I love it! I read where a viewer questioned the ml not questioning his wife when she suddenly returned. I can only say as someone who lost her soulmate and the love of her life six years ago if he suddenly reappeared looking exactly like he did the last time I saw him I would not ask any questions either. I would just savor the moments like he did! From the ending it appears that she was his one and only true loveā¦.I understand ā¦ditto that for me. You will need tissues but it is worth it!
Not a single episode has disappointed me. I love these characters so much.

Whoever is managing the two is doing a great job. I also read where they are both very family oriented so that may be a factor too.

They threw everything in the pot and what we got was epicā¦.parody, action, comedy, betrayal, justice, friendship, regret, redemption, forgiveness, family , reconciliation and finally our two heroes locked in love.
