Title LoveSick 2024 Spoiler
At this point I am just going with the flow. I keep reminding myself this is high school…lol…when I think about my own high school days I have to smile….boy, was it messy. Who liked whom changed from day to day, class period to class period. At my last class reunion the couple I just knew would be together forever had parted ways long ago. I actually find seeing so many new faces refreshing. Some of them still have braces. They are all just so cute. Awww puppy love.

Wow! I am batting a hundred this last quarter of 2024! Another gem! I am so glad to see bl writers
incorporating real life issues into storylines and constantly evolving. I just started watching and I am already in love with the cast. It says 12 episodes so I know I better get my box of tissues ready. The scene with the grandfather hit me right in the heart. It is so realistic. This past month my elderly aunt wandered away from home. Since then she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I have been visiting her every week and lending my support. Her eldest daughter has become her caretaker. She has had to take unpaid leave from her job as she tries to adjust to what we now call our new normal. The young deaf person also hits home. I remember when my husband started losing his hearing. Getting adjusted to a hearing aid was hard. There were times he said to hell with it and would not use it. I am interested in seeing how this will affect the relationship of Tan and Ming. I am sorry Viki and IQIYL are so far behind. I found the first five episodes on another site so I am bingewatching.

Title Cinderella at 2 AM Spoiler
I just finished bingewatching this series and personally I loved it. Here are my five reasons based solely on my own personal preferences:
1. No cringey, intrusive
ex gf/bf included just to create unnecessary drama.
2. Strong, likable female characters with flaws.
3. Supportive friends/family. Absolutely loved the dynamics of the sibling relationships. No Cain/Abel side story which was so refreshing. The devotion of the brother and sister to each other was so heartwarming.
4. The second couple…they were so fun to watch.
5. Length - 10 episodes was just right. I will push myself if it is 12 episodes and maybe 20 episodes if it is on the level of Vincenzo and Crash Landing on you which had 16.
I did have one negative - after all they each went through together I felt her lack of involvement in the wedding preparations and setting up their household was inexcusable. I was not head of a major corporation but I was a manager in the corporate world when I became engaged. Certainly she had to understand the words prioritizing and delegation. Even the sister-in-law recognized this when she saw how sad her husband looked and changed her plans. Even the older brother understood when he arranged the helicopter for him to return to her. Her attempt at cooking for him softened me slightly only because I was a horrible cook also and my prince charming reacted just like hers . With that one exception in mind I give this a 8.0 .

One of the best LGBTQ themed show I have ever watched. If this is the future of the Korean gay/BL/queer/LGBTQ…
Yes, it reminded me of the first time the storyline included a gay couple on a major soap opera in my country. It was a
defining moment
toward bringing the gay lifestyle into the mainstream and treating such
relationships in a
way other than the
usual stereotypical
ways. It was still a
long way from being granted full equal rights but it
was a move in the right direction. This is a very positive and hopeful move.

I mean I would also cut all ties with a person I am close to,if they looks after my abuser.
I thought the same. I knew two brothers. Their mother would drink alot and was abusive at times. Apparently the older brother left home and cut ties with the mother. When she died he spoke to the younger brother but did not attend the funeral. The younger son had even forged a loving relationship with the once abusive mother. When I look at the two mls in the series I see how two people can endure the same treatment but deal with the pain very differently. If it had been me personally I would not have attended the funeral.

I know this forum is about the series and how wonderful it is….but the more I learn about Nam Yoon Su the more I love the actor even more than the series. Not only is he an awesome and outstanding actor but it turns out he is also a
compassionate and
loving human being. In July of this year he unselfishly donated his kidney, saving his father’s life. Excuse me if I seem over the top emotionally. I know first hand what renal kidney disease looks like. I also know that making such a decision is a life changing decision. The donor puts his own life at risk. This is why my own husband adamantly refused to even consider our only son as a
donor when he himself was diagnosed with this disease. Go to youtube and watch the interview Nam gives about his decision. Listen to the sincerity and love he has for not only his father but his entire family. I respect the actor but I have an even greater respect for the person. I hope he has a long and prosperous life. Forgive me from digressing from our usual focus. I am so happy to see this wonderful work of art get the attention it so richly deserves. Once again I
congratulate all the talented actors and people involved in its making.

I just rewatched ep 4 and I am truly pissed off with Do Hoe…I can understand his
bitterness toward his father but to treat Yeong the way he did is inexcusable. I wish Yeong would tell Do Hoe and the
wicked witch Hyeon Ho to
both go to hell. I still think the actors are doing a great job .

I am in bl heaven. …Love in the BIg City, Jack and Joker, Let the Curse of Taekwondo Be Free and now Kidnap….that last scene with Min and Q was hot…I swear Ohm looks more buff in every scene. I have completely forgot about the storyline. I just wait for the part where he takes off his shirt. Lol

Hyeon is like a bad toothache that just wont go away. The only solution is to get rid of it! We will probably have to endure him for at least two more episodes. Looks like it is going to be a rough ride but my money is still on Do Hoe and Yeong.

I am having a ball looking at all the clips with Yoon-su, JIn Ho-eun and the rest of this dynamite cast. No apologies….just sincere admiration for one another and thanks to all their supporters. I have already watched it twice and the second time was just as fulfilling as the first time. This has certainly been a good years for bl series. Among my favorites are 4minutes, Century of Love, My Stand-In, Jazz For Two, Last Twilight and now Love In the Big City. I cant wait for Jack and Joker, Kidnap, and Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo to end.

How much do I love this work of art? Lol..after binge watching all episodes I am rewatching.
There are just so many
awesome moments. When I watch I dont really think
this is gay. I think….this is life. Heterosexual or gay
life happens. I still remember my college days and early twenties. I laugh at some of my friends. They got older. They found God….and suddenly they got amnesia. I recall those years. Thank God it was long before cellphones and social media. I look at this and see so many similarities. The people, the situations, the highs and the lows transcend
ones sexual preference. What happens to Young can and does happen to any of us. That’s what I love about this series. It’s like walking down memory lane for me. So many hits and misses….but I did meet the love of my life and so will Young. Take care. Need to experience another gem ? I recommend Jack and Joker.
On Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart! Oct 22, 2024
This was a hard episode to watch….so much angst and so much pain and not just for Jack and Joker. The side couples are going through some emotional mess of their own….lol even Jack’s boss is having a bad time( deservingly so)
Next week looks like another week of mayhem and havoc! I am loving this series but I will be so glad when Jack and Joker finally confess their feelings for each other and join forces.

What an absolutely beautifully done artistic commentary on the life of a young gay man. Perhaps it is because I am so much older that I actually did not find this to be sad or depressing. Certainly there were some aspects of his life and that of his friends and partners that touched my heart. But at the end I was actually smiling because through the years he found a resilience and an understanding of who he actually was as a person. At the end he chose himself….he chose to be his authentic self. What a wonderful journey of self love. And he could not have done it without having gone through the murk and the fire. I keep remembering this was his personal journey. This was no romanticized make believe version of life as a gay person. This was told from a very realistic viewpoint and I applaud how the various issues were depicted. Whether one agrees or not this is how it is for many in this community. I know. I grew up at the height of the HIV epidemic in my country. I remember watching as professional basketball players walked off the floor and refused to play with another star player. I have a young relative who I pray is still alive because our family rejected him and both his mother and his father disowned him and cast him out. I attended a family wedding in which the groom felt he could suppress his true desires and pray it away. It ended in heartache for he and his bride. But through it all he and his bride came out victoriously in my eyes. They acknowledged his truth. They dissolved the union but several years later they remain close friends. So for me this was a story of life. One other thing I loved about this series. Who wouldnt love to have three friends like Young had. They were with him through the good and the bad times. Whether he and his true love reunite is left up to fate but going forth I just felt that he had found the greatest love of all at the end - self love. So glad all episodes were released at the same time. I binge watched in one afternoon. There were no intrusive third party ex lovers suddenly surfacing, no non consensual/ rape scenes, no boring side stories. The focus was all about Young and I enjoyed going on this journey with him. This goes on my rewatch list.

I started not to watch but glad I did…the best line in episode 1….Nam - I cant live without you. Young - I can. Lol…actually this may be about gay life but it reminds me of my own dating experiences in college. I read where someone said this series is depressing. Maybe because I am so much older now it just seems like a realistic depiction of life.
Only criticism is it being listed as a bl. To me it is more of a gay series. There actually is a difference . So far so good. The 8.1 rating seems accurate.

If any hesitation, just try it. I was skeptical as I am a big fan of 2014 version, plus fabulous OST, and there…
I actually like this version better than the 2014. Ten years has made a difference …..in a good way!
