He is hurting from the rejection he is feeling. Taking out the earpiece was so painful to see. He does not want to hear the person he has come to love lament over an ex love. I hope it is just a misunderstanding but I could feel his heartache. Such powerful acting.

First Let the Curse ofTaekwondo Be Free and now this. I have no idea how it will end. I have low expectations for a happy ending. Right now I am just enjoying the experience.

As a fellow American let me offer a word of encouragement. It did not go as we had hoped. We know the truth and the world does too. I understand all too well how you feel. My father was born at a time where his state imposed idiotic literacy tests designed to keep people like him from voting. He was dismayed but not discouraged. He and others did not give up. Before he died he was able to cast his vote. I am proud of the campaign our candidate ran. This is not the end. This is only the beginning. He wiggled his way out of serving for his country. He is a known adulterer. He is a master con artist. He is a convicted felon. The good news is we just have to hang in there for four more years. Let’s not give up or give in. The only thing he knows how to do is dismantle and tear down. There is nothing we can do about the ones who drank the kool-aid. ( that’s a reference to Jim Jones who led his cult followers to the gallows) Take care. Actually, I started watching bls right before his first term. I refuse to watch or listen to his maniacal jabberings. Take it one day at a time. We are going to be ok.

Welcome to the real world. I worked in the college employment department of a large major corporation. You would be surprised to learn how many
forged and/or listed falsified information. I remember one incident where the truth was revealed. Was the person terminated? No, the person was reprimanded and had a salary reduction. However, because the person had proven to be a diligent and excellent employee leniency was shown. I dont condone it but it happens.

I agree. When I bingewatched the entire series everything made so much more sense.

Wow I love this series. The only time we see Jeong and Da Hoe happy and grinning from ear to ear is when they are together. It was like that when they fell in love in high school and nothing has changed in the years they were apart. Finally, even HH realizes he never had a chance.

I have already rewatched the final two episodes and there are so many positive and hopeful messages packed into these eight episodes. Kudos to the writers. And there are not enough words to adequately describe how amazing our three stars were. Kim Nu Rem, Lee Seon, and Jang Yeon Woo captured the true essence of their character. From the very first episode they each made us feel the pain and the intense chemistry between their respective characters. I even felt a little tinge of sadness for Hyeon. The curse has been lifted. At the end we are comforted . I absolutely love the matching pjs and how they have settled into domestic life. Lastly, the way the child abuse storyline was handled was perfection. I dont know if people are aware of it but as educators we are mandated by law to report any signs of abuse to the proper authorities. Children should see their teachers as an advocate and protector. Kudos also to the healthy, strong portrayal of the young female characters. I generally do not like how females are depicted in bls but this was definitely one of the best portrayals I have seen. No intrusive romantic side story or weak manipulative ploy. Of course we also see justice served in a humane and fair manner. Wow, so many wonderful messages. I am going to miss our guys so much.

What a beautiful story of love, forgiveness and redemption. I wondered how they were going to resolve everything in two episodes. They did so in such a beautiful and heartfelt manner. I cannot say enough about DaHoe and Jeonge. Their love transcends time. I got my happy ending. This definitely goes on my rewatch list. So glad to see the rating go back up!

I am loving this series so much. The young actors are killing it…definitely bringing their A game. The character Cable had me in tears. And whenever Shin and Saint appear together the chemistry between the two is through the roof. Even Saint’s sister knows how they really feel. The storyline is really written well. I hope the ratings go even higher. Must give a shout out to the amazing musical score too.

This may not be billed as a bl but it is certainly giving off bl vibes. It reminds me of the Chinese drama Killer and Healer . I can really accept whatever they want to call it. The chemistry between the mls is soooo good! I am loving it!

Again I find your viewpoint interesting. I just would have liked to have known more about the parents. For me it would have addressed some of my own questions. Of course I understand budget and artistic constraints play a major role in determining the length of a series. Obviously the writers wanted the focus on the two mls which was their prerogative. I still am enjoying the series and am looking forward to the last two episodes.

You make some very interesting points. This why I really wish we had more than eight episodes. If this was not a bl but a Korean soap opera or lakorn we would have gotten at least fifteen episodes. To Sir With Love was 17 episodes. I believe we would have gotten more of the backstory on Da Hoe’s father and maybe even his mother. What caused the father to be so abusive toward his own son? What caused Jeonge to develop a close relationship with the father who abused he and his son? I wish we had gotten more insight into the motivation behind the father’s action. My mother’s brother was physically and verbally abusive toward people, especially females. I witnessed this as I was growing up. His daughter acknowledges that she was always afraid of him. I never heard him say a kind word to her. Yet, my mother loved her brother…..and I did not hate him. I think I felt more pity than hate. I remember asking my mom once why he treated people so harshly. She said he had been traumatized from having grown up in an oppressive
environment and from his experiences as a soldier in WWII. When he was killed my mother wept with sorrow. I felt relief. I think his daughter felt like DaHoe….free. Again, you provide a very interesting analysis. For me it raises even more questions. Thank you.

I just saw a clip from ep 7. If Da Hoe still rejects Jeong than he deserves to be alone and miserable.

Who wants to hang with their ex all day? Where is that written in the Handbook for Dealing with Exes…..Is this Be Nice to Exes Day? Just another intrusive inclusion of an ex gf which to me is another senseless filler! Explain to me exactly what is the point!

I am in serious trouble my friends. I am literally addicted to this series. This bl has become my drug of choice and I admit I need to go into rehab! Right now I feel like I need to go to therapy! Why are Do Hoe, Jeong and HH so damn hot? I want to hate each one but I just cant!

Very interesting. However, I do believe he did finish his studies. It is possible to own a school without teaching credentials. My sisters have owned one for over 20 years. The staff has to have the required credentials. In the case of DaHoe he owns the school and teaches English. I majored in English and taught for twenty years. I am impressed with the length they went to to show him actually teaching. His staff comes from a highly prestigious school and the students appear to come from affluent homes. HH is a lawyer so he must be handling the legal aspects . I too will be glad to learn where he got the money. Another possibility is HH may be his primary investor and that may also be the major reason HH has a
stranglehold on him. But Jeonge is on the case and both DeBoe and HH knows he has a hard time letting things go. Wow I love this series.

Whatever it is I wish parents would understand the emotional toil their arguring takes on the child. I almost made this mistake myself when my youngest was about ten years old. Luckily I stopped arguring with his dad long enough to see him huddled in a corner shaking. I stopped right there and decided nothing was worth damaging my child. It was me. My husband really didnt like arguring. I realized I was becoming my mother. I thought about that when Dehoe picked up the bottle and saw his reflection in the mirror. He did not want to become his father. Only you can change you. I hope the student’s parents acknowledge that and make a change. As I have said before this series is so good in dealing with issues related to family, religion and sexuality.

I personally hate the phase that time heals everything. You are right when you say you never forget the past. What I have found to be sure is you find a way to suppress the past. You bury in a place so deep so that you can function like a normal human being. The problem is dealing with the triggers that unexpectantly causes those memories to surface. I am so interested in how the writers are going to wrap everything up in one season. I wish they would do something like Young Royals. It took three seasons to resolve all the baggage that the mls were dealing with. Typically Korean bls do not do sequels. I think To Your Star was an exception. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am so glad I am not the only one concerned about the side story with the young student.
Adolescent suicide is a reality. When the child said he just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up my heart broke. Even Jeong is concerned.
