i could never go on a reality show lmao... if i ever came across a comment section of strangers psychoanalyzing…
That is why I have so much respect for those who are brave enough to put themselves out there. I am sure, at least I hope the selection process takes all of this into consideration. Also, I have to keep in mind that this is not a documentary. This is a reality show and its main goal is to entertain. Still, it takes a lot to bear your soul knowing that thousands of people will be watching. Kudos to the editors. We will never know what was left on the cutting room floor. I am also thinking that being on a show such as this may be a form of therapy for the participants and even some of the viewers. As for this forum so far I feel the comments have been respectful and not condescending or mean spirited. I am not a psychiatrist or therapist. Like everyone else I just like to add my two cents. Hopefully, if they do read the comments they will chuckle a bit and move on. They have probably dealt with much worse . I have been entertained but more than that I have been educated. Take care.
I could just hug each one. I know feelings are going to be hurt and every one has a reason for pulling back but finding true love is tough regardless of one’s sexuality. We are affected by our life experiences. And what people see on the outside is only a fragment of who we actually are. Watching today was so hard but so transparent and real.
Has anyone watched the Taiwan show Boys Like Boys? I had forgotten about that one. I went back and rewatched. There was so much interaction between the guys and watching reminded me how fun it was as they got to know one another. There was more physical contact and they were very transparent in expressing the highs and lows of being gay. They all had nice bodies. Issues came up but they were so supportive of one another . They even had one who was more feminine looking and the ages ranged from 23 to 35. They even had one guy who has not come out to his family. I wish the next issues of HisMan provide more intimate moments and personal insights .
Ok I got what I wanted and more…everything tied up in a pretty bow and delivered with perfection. This goes on my rewatch list. It has been a treat. Now on to Century of Love.
As much as I like the individuals I am really done with the secret missions. I would like more outside group activities/dates to allow a more natural interchange between the guys. The last episode just felt so contrived and all over the place. Too much to do with the feud between Myeongkyun and Youngjoon. Come on people. Exes do come in contact at times. You acknowledge it and keep it moving. I do understand Myeongkyun more now. I feel for Seungjin and Hwi. The triangle has fizzled out. I really dont see any real long term romance coming from this group. Too much with the chat rooms. More person to person interaction next week please! Seongmin is really getting on my nerves . He should just let Hwi know he cares for him like a brother and the age difference is too much for him.
This is so much fun to watch! The mobster is such a puppy….love it! I am enjoying the second couple and of course the gangster friends are a hoot! What a way to start my day…lol…lol
So glad See and Pond are in this series. The last time I saw him was in Laws of Attraction and I was hoping to see him in another series. Pond is also one of my favorites. Cant leave without saying how hot Daou and Offroad look in the shower and the kissing scenes were on fire. Lol…let the fun begin!
It just started and I am already loving it! This is going to be a fun ride! I love bls that forego the usual formula and dare to stretch my imagination. Of course I am in it for Daou and Offroad. Love the support cast too. This first episode had me smiling . I am in until the end.
This show is so good. I am a person who always wants to know the backstory. What makes a person who they are? How does your upbringing and culture affect your choices in life? How do you handle being viewed as unnatural? We all have a life story I believe. We are not always what people see at first. I myself have often been perceived as indifferent and aloof. I am an introvert surrounded by extroverts. If it has been hard for me I cant even imagine how it is being a part of the LGBTQ community especially coming from a very conservative culture. Coming from a conservative and very conventional background I applaud the participants on this show for putting themselves on front street. Whatever the final outcome this show is a winner in my book for its authenticity and sincerity. Get out your tissues. I feel more tears and angst coming.
I just watched the Netflix reality show The Boyfriend and it is intriguing. The format is entirely different from His Man and has more of a movie atmosphere. There is also more personal dialogue and interaction among the guys. Enough about that….my heart is still with HisMan.
Interesting but I see alot of tears coming. I really dont like games that play with people’s emotions. The panel of observers is interesting. I have mixed feelings about the show but I am willing to give it a chance.
Short and sweet! I was able to binge watch. Sometimes I just want to get to the main point and skip the fillers. Lol…obviously the ploy tried by the thirsty female didnt work and the incident with the male admirer was squashed neatly and quickly. Personally, I loved the ending…things like that do happen in real life…you acknowledge it, talk it out and move on. This goes on my rewatch list. Love the mls and the supporting cast. Hopefully I will see them again.
Lol…I guess it’s all in the eye of the beholder. I love OffGun. They are the original pillars of GMMT. A great partnership is not only dependent on the physical traits. Feeling that one has to be more feminine and the other more masculine seems to be missing the point. Just what does that mean? It seems superficial to me. I love OffGun. They have great chemistry. More importantly I think they have developed a friendship that transcends their roles as bl partners. If you have watched them in other works it is apparent that both are extremely talented and exude a natural beauty in mind and spirit. They have each appeared in series where they were not bl partners and I found each one a joy to watch. Of course there will be those that feel different but as for me I am team OffGun until they say it’s over which I hope is never. People have said the same things about KristSingto and I am so happy they did not let it destroy their friendship. Take care.
I can understand your pain after watching this drama, it must be a really tough job
Actually, it was an experience I will always cherish. Like the interns in this series it was all a part of the learning process. No pain no gain. Let’s enjoy the ride.
