I am really loving this. Yes, it is slow paced but I love the ml and fl. I like how the layers of their relationship are developed. We see the cultural and social pressures that they have to cope with. To Westerners it may seem too much ado about nothing but I do understand. Whether the challenges are cultural or religious or racial or gender they do exist and the road to an eventual happy resolution can be long and arduous. For me this is a solid 8.5. I am only on episode 11. I am trying to do 5 episodes a day so I should be done by the end of next week. Maybe another reason I am enjoying this so much is because so many in my family have served in the military. Some are still serving. One relative is currently stationed in Korea with her husband and their two children. He doesnt know where his next assignment will be. My husband served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam war. Some things he never spoke about. Our eldest son served in the Navy. My family and friends also includes many in law enforcement so I find the series extremely personal.
I agree. I cant even be mad at Ming. If someone doesnt mine being your doormat that is there fault. I actually…
Lol Everytime this person recalls this time in her life I want to scream are you still just as deludional as you were back then!Sctually back then I did try to shake her into facing reality but it did no good then and would serve no purpose now.
To be honest, I thought this ep would infuriate me and I would be so mad at Ming but I can't even be mad anymore.…
I agree. I cant even be mad at Ming. If someone doesnt mine being your doormat that is there fault. I actually have witnessed this in real time. Over twenty years later the person still considers the person who publically treated her like a douchebag to be the love of her life. I am glad I didnt read the book. I just want to go along for the ride with no real expectations. Actors are all doing a fantastic job!
I will probably never watch this series ( too many emotional triggers) but I love the ost Love You With All My Heart. It is on my playlist. I played it over and over as I drove to the cemetery to place flowers on the grave of my dear departed husband. Believe me as romantic as it may seem visiting the gravesite of your soulmate is anything but romantic. Hopefully one of the things those who watched this series will take away is how precious each day with your loved one is. My greatest comfort is knowing that the last conversation we shared was filled with love and laughter. Take care.
Thank you for the spoilers. As much as I like the main actors I cannot bring myself to watch this just yet. From the comments it seems they were together into their old age and she dies first. If that is true it is very realistic and too close to home for me. My beloved husband and I were together 50 years. It was also a real roller coaster ride….,and yes there was a miscarriage too. In sickness and health, for richer or poorer we were together until death parted us. Sounds like the basic premise of Queen of Hearts. I have done enough crying. I am happy for the high ratings. Maybe I can watch in the future. Take care.
Interesting start! Both tops .,,,,lol… I like bls that dare to be different and provide a different twist to the storyline. The cast is Intriguing.,,,so far so good! Already I am wondering if Tong had something to do with Joe’s death. Ming is a mess….looks like I am going to love hating him….lol
Overall nice watch! It is 2024 and times and attitudes are constantly evolving. These were all consenting adults. I appreciate how the various issues were addressed and resolved while still keeping the series entertaining. This will go on my rewatch list.
A true mature bl gem. I loved it from beginning to end. Kudos to the entire cast and production crew. The emotions were so real and raw. This will definitely go on my rewatch list.
Wow! This was so good! The intensity, the emotion, the extent to which each one was willing to go for the other was grade A. I loved Le. That hug at the end was it for me…there is no turning back for Wei Quian. My only complaint is the episodes are too short…I want more.
After hearing the news recently about an American boy who died because his friends let him go home while intoxicated…
You are right but when you are young you have the notion you are infallible. When I think about the times I was in college and no one gave a second thought about that frat brother who left the party high as a kite….it makes me shudder. Thank God no one ever ended up hurt or dead. Now I caution my grandchildren and hope they get the message.
I have rewatched this for the third time and my favorite part is the segment when the four of them are performing together and the last few minutes when they seem to be so comfortable with their true selves and with each other.
Sang Pang is such a hypocrite... making all this fuss about these two men being together but you are with this…
She is not a little girl. She is a grown woman. Personally I always preferred partners who were no more than two or three years older than myself. But my brother-in-law remarried and his wife must have been about 20 when they married. He was 45.That was years ago. She is 45 now and he is 70. You should see him on the dance floor. Again, they are both adults.
lol at people calling Lili San Pang's "sister" or whatever like Qian and Yuan aren't in the exact same position…
I agree. It happens in the real world and no one bats an eye. The famous singer Celine Dion was a young girl when your much older manager took her under his wing. Years later when she was considered an adult they fell in love and eventually married. San Pang has been a loyal friend. He has been there for all three and they trust him and probably know his good and bad traits. Frankly I would feel better with him than if she suddenly popped up with some one out of the blue.
